Yep. I have had women flagrantly lie and claim expertise over subjects I know for a fact they are 100% ignorant on. They always take winning the argument itself as the goal, facts be damned.
They have been the party of women ever since Woodrow Wilson. The 19th amendment is 80-90% of the reason the Democrat party is still alive. Without gullible women to vote en masse for them, we might not have had to endure FDR, and the resulting expansion of the Federal Government.
These people literally voted for JFK because they thought he was hot. Yes, you read that correctly. They don't vote based on knowledge or logic. They vote with their feelings, and their feelings are as malleable as silly putty. Just look at that stupid wahmens march for an example. They got like a million women to put on hats that looked like vaginas and walk around DC yelling about how defiant they were to Trump, a guy who did basically nothing to them (and still hasn't to this day).
They are so idiotic, and yet I would say they are still our betters because we failed to contain them. That was something that our forefathers managed to do and yet we somehow could not. Now we pay the price just as the Romans and the French did for allowing them any sort of power without accountability.
"Mansplaning" is an ad hominem logical fallacy, one of the lowest (probably most childish) classes of fallacies in a retort. Any person slinging it around should be kept away from critical systems, but clearly that ship has sailed. Now we wait for the casualties.
Agreed. And thank you for pointing out the illogic of their arguments. It might not be important to them, but it should be to us. However, I'd like to point out that there have already been numerous casualties. We only hear about a fraction of them, and many, even here, don't consider all of the casualties that this stuff has caused.
The changes we've made to Western civilization are catastrophic over the long term. We've adopted philosophies and practices that, individually, spell doom to anyone stupid enough to follow them, and we've adopted multiple. It takes time to wear down a successful civilization. We're in the middle stages where the consequences are becoming readily apparent. They will become increasingly moreso as time passes, as these philosophies and policies take greater effect, and as intelligent people wake up to it, separate themselves from it to protect themselves, and form parallel communities and societies with like minded people, further depleting the meritous population that are currently upholding the old corrupted system, all of which will accelerate the collapse.
This shitshow has only just started.
Also, the pilot in the audio should have never apologized. When you know you're right, never cede an inch to these idiots and liars.
Also, the pilot in the audio should have never apologized.
It's a passive-aggressive apology, that is meant primarily to keep him from getting in trouble with either his company, the airport, or any regulatory agency for being inappropriate in communications.
Oh god and of course because she's a woman she is going to take that shit way too personally
Which is especially annoying since he was nothing but polite. Sure, I'm sure he was seething internally, but he kept his cool. Because pilots know pissing off controllers can fuck your shit up ridiculously hard.
I would not be shocked if some pilot loses their temper and just flies straight into the tower.
"You...you...googled it? Stand by. Coming in for a really short approach, ma'am."
bad take since everyone in tech using google to get info. Show me the man who can do all his tech work without google and I'll show you an Indian with a paper copy of his helpdesk script.
This is nothing new. This is the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect and it has been going on since before the internet was a thing. We just happen to be some terminally online berks who chose to become informed on this stuff.
I also googled it, and it sure looks like she's incorrectly repeating some random poster's comment from 2017 from some forum. I suspect she was scanning down the thread past all the other definitions of short approach until she got to "ATC chief told me one time", and that one short reference to an authority figure immediately cemented the following statement in the post as the official definition going forward for her. Whole argument gave me the vibes breadtube internet debate tactics, but she somehow managed to prop up her "I'm an expert" facade with something less credible than the opening paragraph of a wikipedia article.
The youtube video has a few comments from people who have had to deal with this chick flying into that specific airport too, general consensus being that she's an obnoxious Karen no one wants to deal with(not that it wasn't already obvious from the clip).
it's fascinating when you think about this. women are observedly and objectively more social creatures than men.
If you look at hobbies for instance, hobby spaces that are dominated by men tend to be about the activity itself, and groups around that hobby are formed for the purpose of having other people to share that hobby with, therefore having more ways to participate in the hobby. however, when the hobby space is dominated by women, it tends to be more about talking about the hobby and wearing the hobby as some sort of fashion statement so as to signal that you want to talk to other people about this hobby. female groups around a hobby tend to be about the group itself getting together and sharing stories, with the hobby being an excuse to get together.
applying this to the intellectual space, it's easy to see how men would be more interested in observed facts, whereas women would be more interested in consensus around said facts.
Men can also have hobbies all on their own, indefinitely.
Like, there are people right now who play video games or sit in a shop by themselves, doing what they love, and have been doing it alone for decades. Some of them don't even share that they are doing it or the finished product, as the time spent is the goal itself.
In addition to concensus, women also overly rely on authority figures to derive their information. It's one of the reasons feminism has been so destructive. It's separated women from their men, and propped up government and other corrupt entities as authority figures, who lie and manipulate, especially with appeals to authority, popularity, and emotion, which easily sways women. Google is viewed as an authority figure over a veteran in his field by normies.
Oh boy, storytime. I have had a normie buddy ask me to double-check engineering figures he did for a roof. He's not an engineer. His numbers were wrong, very wrong. I told him so. "Well, I have done months of research on this subject, and you haven't done this in a while..."
I've dealt with the same issue. I see it as a multi pronged issue.
Firstly, and most dangerously nowadays, is that most normies are propagandized. Convincing them they've been lied to is almost impossible to break, unless they feel immediate and sharp pain (in some way) because of the lies they've been fed.
Secondly, is that people, regardless of background, education, status, etc., are quick to justify their own actions, words, arguments, and beliefs, no matter how wrong they may be, so they don't have to accept responsibility for being wrong and admitting they have to change. People are very similar to simple physics equations when it comes to changing (a body at rest tends to stay at rest kind of thing), where comfortable people are loathe to change or accept alternative viewpoints unless the falsehoods and lies they believe cause themselves pain. The sharper the pain the more likely they'll change.
However, some people can be so hardheaded/dense/propagandized that they're perfectly willing to walk right off a cliff even if you shout at them the danger. Even truly evil people will justify everything they do. Unfortunately, the success of Western civilization has enabled this problem to get worse, from both aspects. It's enabled evil people to infiltrate our institutions and pump out endless propaganda, and it's enabled comfort among the populace (which is rapidly disappearing). It's like the stages of civilization meme: good times create weak people. It's the paradox of success. When times are hard, nature has more sway, allowing it to more easily weed out stupid people and stupid behavior. People work hard to overcome the challenges of those hard times, erecting barriers between ourselves and the dangers of nature. These barriers make life safer and easier, weakening the people over time, making them comfortable, and infringing upon nature's ability to weed out stupidity.
What is it with planes and diversity hires now? Have we reached the critical mass point that there isn't enough competent people working in the industry that failures are happening too much to cover it up?
The clotshot mandates hit the airline industry particularly hard. I don't know about air traffic controllers, but the airlines shit themselves when they realized that they couldn't just hire someone off the street to replace the pilots they drove away with their bullshit.
All air traffic controllers are federal employees of the FAA, which is part of the Department of Transportation. If you wonder why there are a bunch of incompetents in the control towers around the country, just remember that Pete Buttigieg is their boss.
A friend of mine is working on getting his pilot's certification for small planes.
That shit is hard. There's no way to fake it. You need everything - good memory, quick reaction time, high physical skill, extreme multi-tasking, managing stress, and so on.
Anything having to do with aeronautics is likely one of the few places where nepotism and favoritism can't do jack fuck all, because you can't cheat the laws of physics, and they'll kill you without hesitation.
(Come to think, most scuba divers are white, too. Huh.)
Anyone walking into that kind of culture who's delusional enough to think 'Um, well, if there isn't enough women or PoCs it's because of RACISM' are likely screeching at the top of their lungs to try and force more and more retards into positions they can't handle in any way, shape, or form. Without stopping to realize that, yes, you retarded fuck, most women and blacks just can't fucking handle doing all this shit, and expecting reality to conform to your delusional fantasies is just asking for physics to bitchslap you, hard.
They'll just reduce the requirements for the diversity hires so they can "pass", like they did with women in the military, which has led to a lot of men dying unnecessarily. When people die as a result of the diversity, they'll just try to cover it up, as per usual.
They are pulling this shit in medical schools as well. It's to the point that I really only trust white male doctors since I know that not only did they survive medical school, they succeeded despite DEI efforts holding them back every step of the way.
True, but the medical field is one of those areas where I'm loath to trust anybody. It was taken over, from top to bottom, by the Rockefellers several decades ago, just so they could push their oil based pharmaceuticals. The textbooks, teaching curriculums, practices, schools, teachers, hospitals, doctors, nurses, administrative staff, all of it, is to keep people sick but medicated, to leech as much money from us for as long as possible. There are good people in the field, and some are definitely better than others, but they're taught and trained with corrupted material.
As an example, just look at how many in the medical field did a complete 180 during Covid. We'd had tons of tests on the uselessness of face masks to stop the spread of viral respiratory infections prior to Covid, and we had tested thoroughly and used several medications that could treat Covid, for decades, and all of it completely flipped to serve the narrative, despite all of the previous evidence and experiences. Even people that had prescriptions for those medications, for years, could no longer get them filled because it was labeled "horse dewormer" or some other bullshit.
I've had too many bad experiences from the medical field, heard so many other people experience the same just in my close circle, read too many threads of people saying the same thing, pages upon pages of comments, and read up too much on it to trust the medical field to do anything other than treat symptoms and line their own pocketbooks (like the Afghanistan invasion, the U.S. military defending poppy field production, and the opioid epidemic occurring shortly after, thanks to the Sackler family and others in the pharmaceutical industry, helped along by doctors who overprescribe opiates because they get money to do so, to the detriment and death of millions). The entire field needs to be stripped down from top to bottom and rebuilt.
That shit is hard. There's no way to fake it. You need everything - good memory, quick reaction time, high physical skill, extreme multi-tasking, managing stress, and so on.
Yeah, but AI could change that.
(I really think some dumb virtue signaler is going to say that at some point)
They lowered the standarts for markers of heart damage because ( vaccinated ) pilots keep having abnormal screening results indicating they had some sort of heart damage which would ground them as a safety risk.
This didn't start when WuFlu burned-through. This started after the injection rollout. They just lowered the quality of accepted heart function for pilots, like they lower every other standart along their destruction of the West.
The way most women with technical degrees got their diploma is by memorizing a series of steps, not by understanding what they are doing. I've seen a handful of exceptions, but more often they operate with seemingly little understanding of the process they are doing outside of algorithmic understanding.
Again, I think we found the answer to the Fermi Paradox. Tecnhnological creatures wind up outsmarting themselves one way or another. Technological creatures exist only to recycle surface-level petroleum back into carbon.
In 2013 Obama relaxed the cognitive requirements and focused on diversity for controllers. 2023 had 19 near misses, the most since 2016. Those diversity hires are now in supervisor roles.
It’s only going to get worse.
There’s another issue that plagues ATC generally that hasn’t been brought up yet. That’s the fact that most ATC aren’t licensed pilots and therefore have only a vague understanding of what’s involved in flying a plane. That’s like an orchestra conductor who doesn’t know how to play an instrument or an umpire who doesn’t know how to play baseball.
This ATC clearly doesn’t understand what a short approach is or how pilots are trained to land their planes.
I've personally flown a power off 180 with an instructor who is a DPE (the one who gives pilots license tests) and who has been in planes since he was in the Air Force in Vietnam days. The request was a short approach, nothing more. I did that same maneuver later with another less experienced instructor and their request when asking me to do that maneuver is to turn immediately I was actually going to glide further for a better approach and was told no, get to the runway first.
I'll look it up later just because I'm curious but I've never heard of such a thing. These bad ATC people don't help their reputation, because good controllers can almost do art with how they manage planes.
I'm ex-ATC. My training group included one woman - who failed the course. One of our instructors was female and got sacked halfway through the course for taking bribes to pass. The final exam was split into two groups. Group A used a Bug and sent the entire comms to a radio outside where group 2 used it to ace the entire exam. These people control your destiny when you fly.
This reminds me of another awful ATC command, but this was much worse.
Under heavy fog, United Airlines 1448 gets lost on the taxiways of T.F. Green airport in Providence, RI. The inadvertently end up back on an active runway. In fairness, they were totally confused, and gave wrong information, and took wrong turns to have done this. They are cleared to cross what ATC thinks is the inactive runway. Meanwhile, FedEx 1662 is on the active runway is cleared for takeoff.
Our best guess is that 1662 missed 1448 by maybe a couple dozen feet.
This proceeds to cause an argument with ATC and UA 1448, where ATC claims that despite what they are seeing, they aren't on an active runway. Then she says, arguably, the single worst thing that could have been said by any human being at that moment:
"US Air 2998, Runway 5-Right, fly runway heading. Cleared for takeoff."
US Air 2998 has just been cleared to fly directly into the side of UA 1448, which would likely kill everyone on both planes.
"Ma'am, I'm trying to advise you we're on an active runway! United 1448."
Undeterred by the protestations of people who just saw a plane almost kill them, ATC tells them they are on an entirely different and inactive runway.
In the most infamous disaster in aviation history, similar conditions caused a Pan Am flight to crash nearly head on with a KLM flight in Tenerife airport. It was the largest death toll of any aviation accident in history, killing over 500 people. The KLM pilot should have known that the Pan Am plane was on the runway, but decided to interpret his own takeoff clearance, and head down full speed. The co-pilot was confused, but just went with it anyway, only realizing the fatality of his mistake to speak up a few seconds before impact. Both flight crews were killed.
I like to think that the pilot of US Air 2998 knew this in the back of his mind when he refused take-off clearance.
"[broken radio traffic]... he is, but we're staying clear of all active runways until he- we figure this out."
ATC would then clear US Air 2998 again for take off; and again, they explicitly refuse.
Once finally forced to recognize that the lost plane on the active runway should be her top priority, ATC promptly tries to re-orient UA 1448 back to the airport, discovering in the process that, yes, they are on an active runway.
God Bless you, US Air 2998.
You probably saved not only your own lives, but probably over 200 people that day.
There was a lot of corruption, lot of embezzlement, lot of cheap materials not being used correctly, lot of corners skipped... and a lot of it was partly related to the fact that the whole program for the bridge was being led by a strong, independent, woman of color who'd never been involved in building a bridge before because she needed an engineering degree like a fish needs a bicycle.
Yep. I have had women flagrantly lie and claim expertise over subjects I know for a fact they are 100% ignorant on. They always take winning the argument itself as the goal, facts be damned.
Pretty much the entire Democrat mindset it seems. They are quickly becoming the party of women.
They are so idiotic, and yet I would say they are still our betters because we failed to contain them. That was something that our forefathers managed to do and yet we somehow could not. Now we pay the price just as the Romans and the French did for allowing them any sort of power without accountability.

"It can't be mansplaining. I identified as a woman when I made that statement, it is stunning and brave, unlike you, bigot."
"Flight 834 to tower ... tower please respond."
"I'm not talking to you right now!"
"... Flight 834 to tower requesting runway"
"Do I sound like I care???"
"... Flight 834 requesting clarification on last transmission"
"If you cared about me you'd understand!"
Which is especially annoying since he was nothing but polite. Sure, I'm sure he was seething internally, but he kept his cool. Because pilots know pissing off controllers can fuck your shit up ridiculously hard.

I think they realize there is a crazy person on the other end, and their first duty is to the passengers then to whomever owns the plane.
Women are unable of critical thinking. Just picture all the women using galgle to get info, not only in tech but in politics and news
bad take since everyone in tech using google to get info. Show me the man who can do all his tech work without google and I'll show you an Indian with a paper copy of his helpdesk script.

Industries like that where if you fuck around with hiring people based on 'diversity', they'll die as their ain't no second chances.
Remember the sheboon sucked into the engine of an airplane?
The what? You got a video link?

Here we go, you beat the comment by 3 hours.
Boeing had a few years of accident free flight (because of hard working and merit hired engineers).
So the Shaniquas in HR went crazy hiring everyone she knows. Ayn Rand teaches us that eventually it will all fall apart.
I don't know if we are already at critical mass nationwide.
But as someone who moved to new york a couple years ago (wife's job) --- blue states are already here.
My last boss was barely literate. And i was in management myself.

It's the "hard times" cycle only on an evolutionary scale.
Hard life creates smart species, smart species makes life easy for themselves, easy life makes smart species dumb, dumb species create a hard life.
Nature is like poetry; it rhymes.
Yah I hear you, it often makes me think of the mouse utopia experiment when I hear about these things
If we are ever visited by aliens, they will probably be exceedingly religious.
Didnt think we would reach the point of idiocracy in my life time, maybe I will see the day once planes start falling out of the sky over cities.
Soon enough, noticing and mentioning that you noticed will get you thrown in the gulag.

Could you explain it like I took a failed pharmaceutical for a donut?
You can hear the roar of 1662 which took off just over their heads on 1448's radio.
This proceeds to cause an argument with ATC and UA 1448, where ATC claims that despite what they are seeing, they aren't on an active runway. Then she says, arguably, the single worst thing that could have been said by any human being at that moment:
US Air 2998 has just been cleared to fly directly into the side of UA 1448, which would likely kill everyone on both planes.
DIE already killed people, you just missed one of the earlier incidents.
Remember the FIU Bridge Collapse?
There was a lot of corruption, lot of embezzlement, lot of cheap materials not being used correctly, lot of corners skipped... and a lot of it was partly related to the fact that the whole program for the bridge was being led by a strong, independent, woman of color who'd never been involved in building a bridge before because she needed an engineering degree like a fish needs a bicycle.
Diversity pilots have been.
