The purpose of debate is not to win a logical argument. A society capable of having civilized debate, is not really arguing. They have a common framework and cultural goals.
The left understands they can continually cuck the other side. They win because of this. All they have to do is refuse to abide by the rules, while insisting you constrain yourself to them. Which the right continually does.
