Bud Light boycotters decimating sales should think about employees, Anheuser-Busch CEO says
Brendan Whitworth, an ex-marine, makes a heartfelt appeal to protect his staff working at a company that is “one degree of separation away from the American flag”.

Making fun of consumers didn't work out too well. Now they are going to try and guilt them

"Why won't these woke assholes replace all our previous customers? The plan was perfect!"

I have a hard time taking executives seriously nowadays, it seems like everyone is either born into it or sleeps and metoos their way to the top.

Yeah, the only thing you have to do is stfu and make a decent product. If you want browny points then champion generic stuff that everyone likes. Some alcohol addiction charity. No drunk driving. No drinking during pregnancy.

Stills baffles me how much of the universal truths of running a business people used to have back in the day have been thrown out.

Sex sells.....out the windows.

No politics....in the garbage

Hire based on skills/merit......shot from a cannon

Respect your customers.......LOL

and on and on.

What a stupid, retarded faggot. If anyone is hurting his employees, it’s him, for letting dumb ass decisions be made which hurt sales. Or is he such a little bitch that he can’t accept responsibility for his incompetence?

Eh getting beat up on is part of the reason he's getting paid so much. If you are salaried, you insist on getting paid it even if you fuck up. That's just how life works. It's not his fault that AB hired a retard for CEO. It is his fault that he is the retard. But he still gets paid. It's AB's job to fire him.

Only executives I know of that took a pay cut were Iwata and Miyamoto for the lead balloon known as the Wii U.

"Muh hard working families" is the attitude of someone that truly believes they are entitled to your money. You see this all the time with HORRIBLE VIDEO GAMES. But it's not the boycotters hurting "muh hard workers and their families," it's the dumbasses that put them in the situation by pissing off most of the consumers, like you, Mr. CEO.

Those customers are permanently gone.

They know that. My forecast is that they'll double and triple down on Woke now.

This. Calling it a boycott at this point is misleading. Nobody is withholding buying Bud Light until the CEO does the right thing. Everyone moved on, tried other beers, and realized they are better. They broke the habit. You can't get them back. Congratulations.

Perhaps that was the play from the beginning. An excuse. Dylan Mulvaney was just rippin off the bandaid as they court new consumers to replace the ones who are probably honestly dying.

Elected officials import a new electorate. Why wouldn't businesspeople import new customers?

If that was the plan they wouldn't have made tangible efforts to win them back.

Its one thing to put out sad little press released to appear like you are sorry. Its another to put out major ad campaigns where cases of beer are literally free.

They wouldn't have done that if they were trying to lose people.

What if they wanted to win back customers but realized it's not happening?

It's just an idle thought anyways. If they go the direction of continuing to be woke, then maybe there's something to it.

▲ 2 ▼
– Adamrises 2 points 2 years ago +2 / -0

That's certainly possible, but then it wouldn't have been the plan from the beginning.

I truly think that everyone beyond the retarded woman who involved them in this simply thought it would be a nothingburger for a single news cycle, maybe get a small uptick in sales, then move on. Like all their other "Pride" things.

Everything since has been a panic of trying to win back their customers while knowing they can't walk back anything they did, because doing so would kill their ESG and sponserships with major events. So they are chasing two birds and catching none, and are finally at the stage of begging here.

Which right now range from Waffle House to being a miner.

Stop ignoring who your actual customers are. That lesson goes across the board but definitely with things like comic books, Star Wars, gaming, etc.

one degree of separation from the American flag

Without stating the obvious about their recent antics, what a fucking stupid thing to say when everyone was literally big mad that Anheuser-Busch, the 'merica beer company was brought by a Belgian company over a decade ago. I still remember and hell I still know people to this day that won't go back to AB beers, and it was one of the reasons how Yuengling found a foothold as far down as where I live in Georgia. Yuengling was a two cases at an Ingles or a package store beer and 2008-2009 came around and boom it's stocked at every Kroger.

What a fucking stupid ass thing to say from a bunch of stupid ass cowards who keep digging themselves deeper.

Oh btw, $15 off $16 Bud Light tallboys at Kroger via their cashback. Guess they're hoping they can throw money at the problem until it blows over. It's moving as far as I can tell but at that price I expected to be flying off the shelves but no, it only made a dent.

Cashback is still really annoying even if it's giving away the product for free. Especially for a consumable like beer

Stop hurting families

here's a beer can with an individual that thinks it's a good idea to mutilate children (without their parents knowledge if necessary). We stand with him.

They ruined it and they can cry. They chose to be political and now if they do what's required to grift me back into buying le product, it would cause a counter boycott from the Rule 16s on an institutional level.

They don't sell time machines so, yknow, too bad. Everything ends at some point. A lot more will end than some brand, some beer megacoorporation, some czar's child. It's sad but its basically determined by game logic and its by design. In the end it's Rule 16's rule-sixteening Rule 16's with the lives of normal people seen as tools and animal collateral.

a company that is "one degree of separation away from the American flag"

Idk, that might convince some rubes here. If Ray Epps was just an honest ex-Marine doing his God-given duty to protest then I suppose Bud Light can be right in George Washington's bosom as well

Brandon Whitworth wants customers to blame him for the fateful Dylan Mulvaney promotion and not punish the 65,000 people whose lives depend on Anheuser-Busch

Good, I assume you sacked yourself then? No?

If the employees are any good they'll find work soon enough, likely at Bud Light's competitors as they ramp up production to meet their newfound sales boost.

''Not hiring Sir Womanface to do adds with costom made tranny cans of beer'' is not an unrealistic standart of respect for a beer company.

There would have been the excuse of a diversity-hire forming a cabal within the company and getting this through in a sneaky way, but it was not a single mistake. It was a campaing.

That they didn't immediately figure this was a total PR disaster was their downfall.
