The problem with mods in this game is that Bethesda has proven they care more about MTX than mods. Skyrim's tenth anniversary thing broke mods, just so they could sell more BS. Same thing happens with Fallout 4 too since they both have the same in-game shop. Expect to have to update all your mods every time Bethesda wants to sell a new skin and have no idea when they're going to stop.
They still occasionally kill mods with updates no one asked for. Some games on steam(like Rimworld) allow you to pick which version of the game you install. Bethesda apparently doesn't do that. I fought with that shit before trying to get the correct executable file, was not fun but doable.

I've seen a lot of videos of constructions, but I'm not entirely certain I want to play that way. That's the great part though, the game lets me do just that.

Space Marine 2 is on my list but not sure of the release date.
I'm still waiting for BG3 but is more of a last chance of getting a good crpg, I've been already disappointed in the demo, you can find obvious feminist talking points as well as pro-immigration, the gameplay is fun and there are at least one white male companion that is also charismatic but I fully expect they cuck him somehow. I also don't like 5'th edition and how you can fight monsters like hags or ogre-magi at level 3 or 4.
Not 2023 but I'm looking forward to the next Elder Scrolls game, it is said to be set in Hammerfell and I'm hoping they stay away from woke messages since they are already black and would give them the opportunity to showcase their culture. I am worried that despite being set in an area full of black people they will find a way to blame everything on white people and then get some BLM messaging in there while the main NPCs are all women. There seems to be a fascination with black women of late.
Not sure, as far as I know it is just speculation. I think Hammerfell fits since the BLM riots just happened and the western world went crazy for black people.

You can add me to the list with that Forza then, since I have always enjoyed it. For other confirmed this year, it is hands down Armored Core 6 and Cities: Skylines 2, Jagged Alliance 3, as well as any new DLC for Snowrunner (dont know exact dates, but will probably be this year).
As for longer term and less confirmed, that would be Frostpunk 2 (which still has barely any info after a year and it is driving me crazy), Manor Lords, Sea Power (made by the rebooted MicroProse, so it will definitely be excellent like almost everything else they have done), and finally Falling Frontier (which is impressive for being a single dev).
I just can't get excited for Forza. I'm sure I'll play it but it the more recent games are more of a grind than fun. I wish they'd make it more realistic with qualifying and not forcing you to win every race against rigged AI. It's nigh impossible to win with a wheel and if I'm on a controller I'd just rather play something else.
I tried the beta of The Crew Motorfest and it seems fun, albeit they may have gone too Forza Horizon. Will see I still need to play it more. If the map is good it will be decent. I won't buy it at launch though but I buy almost nothing at launch, so... Also interested in the new Test Drive game.
Otherwise there's not much. I'm sort of interested in a survival game coming called The Lost Wild, but I'm also skeptical it will be polished or fun. There was a time I would have been interested in Diablo IV, but that doesn't even spark any interest I expect it to be so awful and I hate that company. I'm always so behind anyway that anything good that comes out this year is more likely to be on my 2026 playlist anyway.
As a wheel player, I feel that the wheel support in Motorsport 6 is adequate. I have a good range of motion and the game feels responsive.
As for Forza 2023, I too hope that we can qualify for single player events. It's so frustrating being caught in a first corner pileup and falling far behind the leader just because the game forces you to start in 12th for no reason. Especially since I've been able to go faster than the AI with cars that aren't upgraded.
Hopefully homologation gets ditched too. I thought it was a ridiculous way of putting cars that have no business racing each other (GT4 and Super GT GT500 cars) in one class and putting on all sorts of ridiculous upgrades on them that ruin how they drive.
Furthermore, it completely defeats the purpose of depicting racing in a grounded way and defeats the purpose of seeing how these cars race each other despite their different design and performance characteristics.
I'd also like to see true multi class racing with full, real time 24 hour long races. Therefore, a mid race save feature like the one in 2000's Test Drive Le Mans for the Dreamcast would be a must.
I think this new Forza would also be a good opportunity to finally offer some kind of off road or rallycross racing.
As long as they keep the BS pronouns out of it, I'll definitely be keeping my eye on Forza 2023.

Outside of TotK, I'm cautiously optimistic about FF16. Then the new Armored Core and Mortal Kombat "reboot" both look sick. Never played Dragons Dogma but the trailer for the new one actually got me pretty hyped.

I think I finally aged out of gaming. My last hurrah was Kingmaker just because I got it for free on Epic and liked it so much I bought it with all the DLC on steam for a replay. But then my enthusiasm petered out in the replay and the DLC didn't add that much. Would still consider Wrath of Righteous just because that looks like it has a Planescape level of worldbuilding.
Because of those Rogue Trader is on my radar but will probably wait 2 years and get the edition with all the DLC on a sale.
To be fair to modern rpg games kingmaker was excellent outside of the kingdom management mechanics. And I only heard good thing about wrath of righteous again the 2ndary mechanics were lacking.
But i think it is also age. I bought the system shock remake and felt this guilt that I should be doing something else when I played it. Something I didnt even conceive of when dropping 60 hours a week into deus ex or diablo 2 or WoW 20 years ago.
The new Cadillac is a beautiful and capable machine in my opinion. I can't wait to see how all the major manufacturers compare to each other at Le Mans this weekend.

My boss has been waiting for Pikmin 4 for ages and I'm pretty excited for that too. I'm skeptical on Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, but man does it look like it's oozing in style that we hardly see anymore.
It may be a bit too late, but I'm strangely excited to see payday 3 for all the wrong reasons. Payday 2 had a lot, and I mean a lot of issues (DLC's would get released with OP stuff, allowing you to pay to win the game). With them adding day-1 DLC, I'm thinking this game could be so laughably bad it'll create a black hole on steam, sucking in every man woman and child who dares to view the platform.

The new Zelda is nice. System Shock remake looks great. I want to play the WW1 game. Forza looks awesome but I need to update my computer.
