I'd add as another priority to conduct audits on the current state of data, previous changes made, and the state of the userbase and certain metrics related to bots and user behavior. Do this as soon as possible and release the findings publicly, creating a snapshot of "this is what I took over." Then people cannot come back later and say the platform is suddenly overrun with bots or child porn because of anything you did. Well they can, but you have the proof.
