I realized in my early 20s that I was not getting attention from women because I was being far too polite and treating women with far too much respect. They see that as weakness, for some strange reason.
I observed the guys I had been turned down for and began to emulate their idiotic behavior.
Began to act like a violent chauvenistic asshole who spoke ill of all women in front of other women, bullied other men to establish my position in their hierarchy of retardation, and acted dumb on purpose. Suddenly, I had "passed the test" and started getting laid left and right.
I was finally getting what I wanted but had to act like a complete piece of shit to get it. That didn't make me happy at all, and made me lose any real respect I had left for women. If me acting retarded is what "gets them going", that's just fucking gross.
I've noticed the same thing. Guys saying "a woman belongs in the kitchen" were getting a ton of action, it was unreal.
I think somewhere deep in their subconscious, women know feminism was a mistake, but they're too invested and too proud to consciously admit it to themselves. Which is a big part of why most of them are on antidepressants.
There are those that can admit it. They are rare to be sure; many will not believe they exist.
I think women are subconsciously just looking for a guy who can protect them from other guys. We're pretty much just "rape prevention" in their heads and us beating our chests like apes and being an asshole to people unnecessarily somehow proves that we can hold our own against other humans. I never understood the attraction to someone being mean to women, though.

I've heard similar sentiments before various times and it's hard not to acknowledge that it's very plausible at the very least. The implication is always that we're next in line as a society, but I fear that our technological sophistication and level of abundance relative to those past failed societies is so high that it could keep our society going in a sort of zombie, semi-collapsed state. Or perhaps "death" as a society this time simply entails being overrun with third worlders who eventually take over.

This isn't true. The issue is that women aren't using long-term time preference because we live in a short-term time preference society. Most of these women's grandmothers would have emphasized marrying doctors and engineers (the same way most Asian and Indian parents do in the US) specifically because a womans investment in a man before the peak of his success is the best way to keep him and benefit from his long-term social status.

Depends on what you consider confidence. Most rational men see confidence as the accumulation of experience and success. The line of cautious confidence in your own skill is the perfect medium; but below that is both the un-challenged confidence of the ignorant and the over-zealous confidence of the insecure. His last full length video called "Swordpilled" was trying to walk the line between good men being dominant & women pathologically being attracted to criminals & assholes.
His thesis is that women are VERY turned off by weakness in men. They will choose violent & sociopathic men every time over weak, nice guys.
He was trying to expand on the idea that you don't have to be an asshole to attract women, but you have to be capable of being a dangerous monster but then have the discipline not to use it unless forced.
I'm not sure exactly how it overlaps with genetics re: strength, confidence, courage, capacity for violence, etc.
But more recently he's been trying to tease nuance out of the "women love Dark Triad traits" to have good men succeed in establishing families and saving Western civilization that he constantly pearlclutches about.
Is this true? If so, it seems like a pretty strong argument against IQ as the be-all end-all. I’d much rather myself/my children were fairly average with enough confidence to take action than really smart but nervous about doing anything.
