You could maybe have made this argument a century ago. I don’t think people realize how badly birth control has fucked up the female ability to mate select. It changes their brain function, hormones, their ability to smell pheromones, and even their ability to find a matching endocrine/immune system.
Girls start birth control early just to avoid period cramps, and they always seem to be perpetually anxious and more neurotic than usual as adults.
This. If women really were selecting for the best genes each generation of kids wouldn't be shorter, fatter, dumber and gayer.
