They add up over the course of 20+ years. Plus, when you have kids it's easier to take 20 pictures at a time since it's a pain to get them to smile nice, etc. So you end up with huge amounts of pictures sitting around of the same thing unless you go back and delete all but the best.
I tend to get them when once or twice a year I forget to pause Humble Choice. Got some decent games over time that I probably would have never played otherwise.
Photo storage of a problem because we take way more pictures than we used to and are too lazy to make physical albums anymore.
So then you need your own physical storage (which is incredibly expensive in 2026) plus some sort of software that makes it decently easy to find stuff. Most stuff that tries to compete with a Google Photos doesn't come close.
I don't know why this is even surprising to anyone. With the success of Steam for PC gaming over the past 23 years, the success of streaming for movies and TV... It was inevitable that consoles would eventually drop physical discs.

I'm sick of sex in games. Yes, Mario had to save the princess and Link had to save Zelda, but that was pretty much it. We didn't need to have our character bang 10 different girls on the way or try to see if he'd be willing to engage in gay sex. It's such stupidity. You have two choices in our current society to bring about change. Either force it through organized violence or wait for a major event that will destroy modern society and make people realize that the last century has been a farce. We do have people slowly waking up, but nowhere near enough. Most are content to stay in the matrix and indulge in the playground of consumption and pleasure that the elites built for the masses.
Individuals going out an committing random acts like this will do nothing to really change things long term.

I'm first generation and I have no objections to this.
It's actually 25% for millennials. The marriage rate is way lower though. Granted, the youngest millennials are just hitting their 30s, which by todays' standards is still not that old. I think 1980s babies are over 60% married, but 1990s are really low.
About half of millennial women got married by 30 and about 1/3 by 25. It's still a huge and alarming percentage who fit this timeline, but it's still 50/50 who aren't completely lost (what happens after they marry is another story)... Fewer and fewer with each generation though.
I paid like $500 for an S25U not long ago. Just have to purchase at the right time with the right deals.
I do agree with these companies not being very open with Roms and the like, but fewer phones are easy to unlock and root these days.
My phone prior to this was a OnePlus 8 and it was super easy to unlock and customize... But I've heard that they made it much harder if not impossible on the newer models.
I think a large portion of America fits into the stuff starting with the PlayStation. Gen Z is literally the pot generation and the Boomers were the ones who brought it mainstream. Every pre-Z generation still drinks a lot. Everyone is fat and lives off junk food.

I do think that each subsequent generation has a wider divide than the last. Not necessarily the middle, but those on either end of the spectrum. Someone on the Right who's a Boomer is on average further left than a Millennial; and Z seems to be moving even further. Same can be said for those on the Left.
I remember going to a Memorial Day concert at the Capitol once and they had Gary Sinise hosting (apparently he still does it every year) with Joe Mantegna with the military bands playing patriotic songs. It was nice, that's all they need.
