It was an eight round mag on a .22. Those have less recoil than an electric toothbrush. It's not like I pulled that off with 1911 or something heavy.
Well, the Olympic air pistol comp is one-handed at only 33 feet, with a .177 air pistol that has the recoil of a mouse pissing on cotton, only one shot at a time. Admittedly the target circle is about 3 times smaller than a typical gun target, but the distance is also 3 times smaller than your feat. Consistent 10s will get you a gold medal. So I expect to see you on the podium next time.
I didn't make the team when I was in my twenties, I'm certainly not going to bother now that I have five kids.
Assuming your first date with your wife was in your twenties, you would've easily outshot anyone in the world at the time. I guess it'll forever be a mystery
