This isn't true. The issue is that women aren't using long-term time preference because we live in a short-term time preference society. Most of these women's grandmothers would have emphasized marrying doctors and engineers (the same way most Asian and Indian parents do in the US) specifically because a womans investment in a man before the peak of his success is the best way to keep him and benefit from his long-term social status.
Women, like men, were basically not taught how or why to have a long-term time preference; because they were effectively raised by parents who were mental children.
You mean we live in a gynocentric society with birth control. This occurred everywhere birth control occurred without fail including Asia and India. India is less than half the birth rate of the late 80s and nearly 1/3 of 1960. There are plenty of short term preference cultures with high birth rates historically. The difference here is that birth control does damage to women’s hormones and their ability to pair bond and select mates, and that’s aside from the “positive” of birth control lowering risk for pregnancy.
Most women’s grandmas were rabid feminists who sent their husbands to war while they demanded “equality”. The only reason they would tell their granddaughters to go after a doctor is to entrap them, just like Asian and Indian grandmothers do currently with their used up 30 year old granddaughters begging for an arranged marriage because the rappers didn’t commit. There’s also the sad fact that men in Asian and Indian households are treated like pay pigs by their matriarchal spouses, mothers, and daughters.
You mean they were raised by women. There’s a reason the single parent birth rate is exploding across the board and it’s because women were taught by feminists to waste their potential for a Bosch painting and then pop out a kid after they lose any ability to pair bond.

Short term-time preference is the biggest issue in addition to all the other failure of a modern western society. I don't think we live in a gynocentric society, I think "women's sexual empowerment" is one avenue of attack by Leftism (which is mostly men anyway).
Total fiction. Most Feminists of the era were opposed to what we have today, and most women weren't Feminists. Feminism has never been majority popular among women, even now. Most of these women's grand parents fully accepted the traditional gender roles, they just didn't see why political obstructions needed to be made to keep women from working.

Calm down, imp. Short-term time preference and modern hedonism are not exclusively the domain of women and women alone. Being raised by only Dad, or by only Mom and Dad, doesn't negate the short-term time preference and hedonism that we're seeing. They're just less bad than single mothers.
Now that's just silly. You don't lose the ability to pair bond simply by being old, or even promiscuous. It's difficult to do it because if someone hasn't been pair-bonding their whole life until their 40, then yes, they will struggle, but not because they lost a literal biological imperative.

The welfare state, forced gendered hiring, rights without responsibility, gender disparities in jail sentences, lowered physical standards, alimony, and kangaroo rape courts are amongst dozens of other government enforced gynocentrism.
This is hilarious revisionism. Most feminists of the era were pushing exactly for what we have today, which is gynocentric intersectionalism. You would have to be swallowing a metric ton of revision bullshit to believe the women pumping out 1 million plus abortions a year after roe just wanted “to work”. I agree, and history shows it was never “I want to be an engineer” that was propaganda made after the fact to sell the removal gender roles. This is the same stupidity that was “gays just want to be married”, it might be pretty to believe but it was never the case and if you studied early feminism it’s blatantly obvious.

“Pheromones, the endocrine system, and hormones don’t impact your ability to pair bond, it’s entirely psychological!” Really? At least try to make an argument this isn’t this pathetic at face value. Pair bonding is an inherent biological trait in social creatures. Promiscuity impacts the female endocrine system, it also impacts their ability to sense pheromones (which impacts their ability to pair bond), birth control does this and more as well.
This is probably the answer. We live in a society of people who were raised by fools who live their life pleasure by pleasure with no long term outlook or moral backing. Their kids are the same or worse and live based on their lower facilities rather than using the higher ones.
There obviously are still many people who have successful relationships and marriages, but the majority are a big mess.
