The argument I have heard countless times from bitter men is "She likes guy X who treats her bad and is an asshole, while I buy her dinner and flowers and listen to her complain about stuff. She should go out with me instead of him."

The funniest part is half the time I know guy X who is totally NOT an asshole, he's just not an obnoxious simp who tries to pay women for their affection. So the door holding argument stands because it's always weak men whining that women pass them over despite their "qualities" that literally any normal human being has and that shouldn't entitle them to anything.

And these guys are always mooning over some 10/10 knockout who is completely out of their league while passing over a perfectly fine 4-6 who might actually like them but she's ugly so eww no thanks.

So while yes I agree that women are bad at picking men, men are also very stupid about how they approach women and try to get their attention. To be fair, a lot of this is the fault of women for raising boys to be pussies, while boomer dads ignored the problem.
