In the sense, that you're not actively thinking about them, but the moment you see them pop up in a production somewhere your revulsion instantly flares up.
Mine are - amongst others - Kumail Nanjiani and Simu Liu.

Not one mention of Seth Rogan. You people make me sick.
I forgot he even existed until your comment here.
And now he made us all sick by reminding us of that.

Is he still in stuff?
Seth Rogan's never acted.
~Every Seth Rogan character, played by Seth Rogan.
He was hinted at, haha.
Mark Ruffalo, Zendaya, Pedro Pascal, Robert Deniro, Viola Davis, Rachel Zegler, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence, Cynthia Erivo...
Yes to everybody you listed.
Also, to mirror what Kaarous said, all those bald, black, lesbian, bulldyke girlbosses occupying screen space in seemingly every Western-made film,.
She was the actress that came to mind for me upon reading the title.
She's been cast over & over as the shrill girlboss role for two decades - Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar, The Martian, etc.
I was so annoyed by Zero Dark Thirty that (((they))) made up a "realistic", completely fictitious narrative that Chastain's insubordinate, desk jockey feminist CIA agent character was solely responsible for Seal Team Six merking OBL.
Pretty sure Chastain was also in The Tree of Life which is in the only movie I've ever walked out of the theater for.
Dont forget the roastie Charlize Theron.
which actors do you not despise? that list is more likely to fit within the character limit here.
Clint Eastwood.
Kurt Russel, John Voight, Kelsey Grammar, Gary Sinise, Tom Berringer, Denzel Washington, Adam Sandler, Kristy Swanson.
Seriously.
The only one I actually know the name of, that is NOT wood-chipper worthy is Kevin Sorbo, and I don't think he gets role anymore. Go figure.
Sorbo had his moment as Hercules but anything since?
Andromeda?
Meet the Spartans. Amazing fucking movie 😆👍
James Woods, though he's a bit of a normie boomer. Totally on board with us being saved from the threat of Iran.
Nicholson. Mel Gibson
Zendaya and the Jewish twink. Also Pedro Pascal.
You're gonna have to be more specific.
The emo twink 13-year old schoolgirls swoon over, who has the expression range of a botox addict.
Timothy Chalamet, the guy who played Paul Atreides like an overemotional whiny faggot.
Timothy Chalamet getting cast in a large number of movies is indeed peculiar.
Not really. He's a Jew.
George Takei, Patton Oswalt, Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day
I remember them making Felicia Day a sexy elf in dragon age 2 and didn't allow you to stop a secret invasion of the western world because it would involve disagreeing with her.
The moment she played the victim and claimed to have suffered misogynistic abuse at the hands of gamers and Gamergaters, the entire nerd community immediately decided to no longer pay her any attention or support her in any way.. I have not heard of her being in a single thing since then.
I actually stopped playing Guild Wars 2 over the voice acting issue. That predatory hypocrite's voice grates on me now, and while she had less and less of a role for a while, then they brought her back into the story, and I was out.
Ugh. I would say good list, but I hate to even give any of those four the designation "actor."
Dude, weed! Huehuehue!
funny thing is.. a lot of very memorable actors/actresses are dying off and no one is replacing them. there is no household names for young actors and actresses. all the household names are like age +60 now lol.
My buddies and I started noticing that almost two decades ago, back when I was just entering high school. There were no new actors moving forward, and action movies in particular were hit hard by this.
its why they keep wheeling them out for nostalgia.. geriatric heroes.
The action star concept died so they could make every thing have an ensemble cast for diversity.
This phenomenon is not just Hollywood, even Asian pop culture/cinema seem this way, I guess when technology allows anyone and everyone to be a 15 second star, nobody is
culture die off indeed.. in the not so far future we gonna lose our country because we lose our culture, identity, borders and heritage. no such thing as "american" anymore, its gonna be "global" or "international".
I'd like to hit Jane Fonda with a shovel.
She's probably the perfect example for being pretty hot (even when she was a little past her prime), but so exceedingly stupid with almost any opinion she's ever expressed in her life. Which is impressive because she's able to carry herself as an actress.
John C Reilly. The man is designed to offend every one of the five senses, even if you can only see him.
Any of the bald black bitches from the last decade's trend of it. Nothing further to add.
Vince Vaughn. He looks and sounds like the kind of guy who gets his ass kicked a lot, deservedly.
Zendaya. No explanation needed there either.
Vince Vaughn is Conservative, and helped bring Mel Gibson back into the inner circle of Hollywood, he also convinced S. Craig Zahler to hire Mel and for Mel to work with him, not unlike Sylvester Stallone and Robert Downey Jr., both of whom also put in good word with producers to work with Mel as well, which allowed him to make a small comeback.
Sure he's an alright guy and he's on our side. But everything about him rubs me the wrong way, even his posture makes me want to kick his ass.
And if anyone should believe in second chances it's Downey.
Vince Vaughn is supposedly pretty based.
Zendaya, she’s in everything and is a middling actor.
Bryan Cranston. I don’t know why everyone glazes this guy like he’s god’s gift to acting. Every line he delivers is so hammy, so overwrought. The guy is a total hack, but somehow, midwits think that lots of grunting and heavy breathing and dramatic pauses = good acting.
He played soy cucks as Tim Whatley on Seinfeld & as Hal in Malcolm in the Middle.
Then Vince Gilligan writes him a live-long-enough-to-become-the-villain arc on Breaking Bad. Suddenly, everyone forgets all the decades prior of being a beta.
To be fair, Breaking Bad is so good that everyone will consider him amazing regardless of whatever else he stars in. He may be a one hit wonder, but you still become a legend when your one hit is Stairway to Heaven or Freebird.
Gotta disagree. He was GREAT in Malcolm in the Middle. My take on that show—the family is fucked up, dysfunctional, and struggling. He works a job he hates to support his family, but he always does what’s necessary to take care of the family. He puts family first, over himself, every time. At the end of the day, the family always comes together to support each other (even if dysfunctional for the first 20 minutes of the episode).
It's not Cranston's acting as Hal, Malcolm's dad that was the issue.
It's the fact that his character was written as the bumbling, beta husband, scared-of-his-harpy-wife trope. Like pretty much all sitcom dads and White men in commercials have been portrayed in the goyslop media for the last half century.
See, I see that as kind of the surface level, but Hal and Lois really have a deeply loving relationship. (And while it never goes raunchy, they do make clear that Hal and Lois are intimate VERY frequently.)
I would take Hal over an Al Bundy or Home Simpson or every single other "dumb white male dad" ever. It's an absurdist almost surrealists show, but at the bottom of it is a family that loves each other.
As a rule I hate all actors unless proven otherwise. Mel Gibson can get a pass but I don't know any other actors enough to not hate them.
Anthony Hopkins has a fairly good outlook on things as an actor. Namely that he's an actor and why should anyone listen to him about current events or politics, since that's not what he's there for.
Chris Pratt seems very likeable in general. I also don't actively hate Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise.
Tom Cruise seems to not hate you back. He's a guy who will talk positive about the audience and wanting to please them.
Any of the race traitors, any of the woke ones, and most of the nonwhite ones because they are ungrateful bastards.
Kumail is awful.
Timothy Chalamet and Zendaya are my #1 and #2 pictures (in either order) for being astroturfed shitty actors that Hollywood desperately wants to be superstars for reason.
Don't forget Phoebe Waller-Bridge. A net drain on everything she's even remotely involved in.
Most once they start talking.
Or once you check out their political activism section on their Wikis.
If I recognize them, I despise them.
That's not hyperbolic, by the by. A good actor should embody their role, present the role and let me fall into believing the role. If ever I see them as the actor, not the role, they've fundamentally failed as an actor.
Meta-comedy can get a pass on this, since the goal then IS to present the actor as the actor in many cases. But in most other cases, if I see "Actor" on screen, rather than "Johnny Protagonist", I view this as a fail state.
And any actors who use their fame to grandstand about anything... Out. Even if they are good actors. I see actors on game shows competing for charity to donate 25000 or something, when they're paid several tens of millions per year. Bish, just donate the money!
I'm sure you realize this, but those game shows are organized so the network can trade exposure for viewers and get a free bump in viewership.
The only reason they pay the normal prize "to charity," in the first place is to white wash the whole thing is altruistic. They're not there to play for charity, they're not even there to play. They're there to advertise their brand.
All of them
all
except mel gibson
