In the sense, that you're not actively thinking about them, but the moment you see them pop up in a production somewhere your revulsion instantly flares up.

My buddies and I started noticing that almost two decades ago, back when I was just entering high school. There were no new actors moving forward, and action movies in particular were hit hard by this.
its why they keep wheeling them out for nostalgia.. geriatric heroes.
The action star concept died so they could make every thing have an ensemble cast for diversity.
