The Great Cucking has begun.
Watch an israel first neocon be his replacement.
I mean, Trump is an Israel first puppet too. They're all in bed with the Zionists
Weren't we mocking this pick for taking an important Congressional seat that would then need someone appointed by the state governor to fill it?
Now he can be appointed to another position.
Some people WANT to whine and moan and doom...
I wanted Gaetz to poke the puss abscess in the DOJ.
If there is a better guy to do that who won't recoil like a little bitch when pearl-clutchers demand "civility", "constructive collaboration" and "no uncivil retribution", that fine. Is there such a person in line for the job?
The appointment doesn't mean shit if the Senate doesn't allow the appointment.
Would you rather have Kamala Harris appointing the position?
(Perspective is downvoted. Emotions are king and logic is FUCKED!)
Shut up about your internet points, loser.
Considering you mentioned Harris, that's the point, isn't it? Republicans won, so let's act like it and push through whoever we want, critics (muh optics) be damned.
I don't want to see Gaetz passed over unless there is someone else better.
We did. Pam Bondi.
By their rules, attacking her is misogynist.
Imagine thinking that you'll win playing by their rules. That's 2012 levels of naïve.
We won
So
That state governor would be DeSantis, so it was going to be a republican. Hell, he might just appoint Gaetz.
Exactly. I'm disappointed that Matt withdrew due to deep state tricks...
Unless Trump and/or Elon told him to GTFO?
Cucked Pedophile Faggots!
I guess the neocons threw a hissy fit
Apparently need over 50% votes to get the position. All the democrats would toe the party line and vote "no" because he's qualified for the job, and some republicans had already openly stated they wouldn't support him, perhaps because of that time he walked through the halls of Congress with some reporters and pointed to those neocons' doors and mentioned facts about their stock portfolios that strongly hinted of insider trading.
why would they need to hide insider trading? it's legal for them! ( and only them )
It's not legal for them, the law just isn't enforced unless they piss in someone's Cheerios. If someone like Gaetz were to do it they'd fry his ass.
It's legal for them to trade provided they file the forms. They have insider info about all kinds of things and things that would affect the general economy.
Wikipedia says insider trading laws lack specific definitions. The executive is afraid to make cases against legislators except in the most dire of cases (corruption) because they are afraid of separation of powers.
RINO POWER!
Apparently there were four R senators who were dug in absolute no votes no matter what. Three of them voted for Garland.
then expose them, post their home adresses, laugh at their death.
They all made public statements about it and the vote is always public.
no AIPAC endorsement = no position for you
I have a feeling he was the tall ask, the bigger showcase is who Trump NEXT picks as his AG
If it's someone we know wouldn't have gone through if Gaetz didn't take all the heat the first time round, Trump played them. Now I'm more hoping RFK Jr and the Border Czar gets confirmed as they are the more important ones.
Honestly, she's not a national name, but I'd love to see Trump nominate Pam Bondi for AG. I know that they know each other, and she's fairly populist, and has reached the "no more fucks to give" level already.
She certainly knows how her bread is buttered.
Before she hitched with the Trump wagon, she was associated with Romney, 100% supported the witch trial against Zimmerman, allied with corrupt DA Angela Corey, is an experienced lobbyist, and considers Israel America's "greatest ally" (MIGA).
I see why Trump likes her with their long history, but I have my doubts; the only non-mercenary positives I've been able to tease out was that she was tenaciously against gay marriage per Florida's constitution, and fought against Obamacare.
Looking to be proven wrong on overall sentiment. Never thought Gaetz would get approved given his past controversies, but I did anticipate a stronger fight for theatrical reasons if nothing else; maybe someone like Paxton would have been a good 2nd choice.
Going by your description she sounds great.
I can actually imagine that would work well since the left we go "look how much we won! Gretz is gone and now there's a woman who's AG!" not knowing she's about to wreak their shit...
I had forgotten that she was one of his lawyers during his impeachments and now works for him. She also has a history of getting up in the left's faces.
You were correct, she's the new nomination.
... Swami Massive says Saturday's lotto numbers are... screw you, I'm keeping those.
This transition is going to be Round 2 of supporters not understanding The Art of the Deal. One can put the most extreme ask first to test the waters and then get someone that could still do some (or even most) of what one wants.
Last time Trump wasn't as well-informed of the Beltway Politics and the snakes in the pit, so he made bad picks. This time he probably does know how to play the game better.
You think health and humans services is more important than AG? Are you delusional?
Since health and diet is linked to mental health, physical ability, how many people can actually fight, personality since if thanks to what you're eating is making you feel weak, you'll act weak too, yes it's very fucking important.
And since we have heard good things about who's now running as AG, is your point going to be 'she's a woman so she CAN'T be a MAGA loyalist!' as that's as retarded as the Dems thinking every woman would vote for them by default.
Let me put this in context for you.
Every policy the HHS secretary could hypothetically put in place.
Would be enforced by threat of litigation through the AGs office.
Which office is more important?
Both, which is why Trump's current picks give me confidence.
How would you feel if you hadn’t eaten breakfast this morning?
Are you trying to get into one of those long winded arguments because either you can't convince me to say 'you're right' or say something objectively wrong for you to dunk on.
As I rather skip that noise and play games, good enough for Elon, good enough for me.
I'm willing to wait to see how this plays out before I pass any judgement.
I'm seeing that there are several options here:
he resigned his current congressional seat, but he's still the congressman-elect for the next seat, so he could very well just go back to congress.
Rubio's senate seat needs to be filled; DeSantis could grow a spine and appoint Gaetz there.
Kash Patel and Gen. Flynn still have not received appointments; either one of them could go to either the FBI director or AG spots and either one would be just as good as Gaetz.
He resigned his congressional seat for this. Why? I am honestly so disappointed.
Apparently he resigned from the current congress and not the upcoming one he was elected to. We'll have to see. I wouldn't hold my breath.
in the letter he did say he do not intend on taking the oath of office for the upcoming congress. Now can he take it? Don't know.
Also, Gaetz steps away the same day house democrats says they'll allow Trump to appoint 4 federal judges? Sounds like Trump anchored them with Gaetz.
I think the intent not to take office next term is just advisory, like go ahead and scramble to hold a special election and get somebody in there to start the Jan 3 term in case of important votes early on.
But if Gaetz is going to be in 2025 Congress after all they won't hold an election for somebody to serve a few days in a recessed Congress.
I am hoping the backup plan here is for DeSantis to appoint him as Rubio's replacement in the Senate.
Here is hoping, just seems like a tremendous waste of potential and political capital.
This is what I get for expecting anything out of the republican party.
He's probably getting something else in the Adminstration that he can be forced through on.
Nick Fuentes speculated that both the Gaetz AG nomination and his immediate resignation from congress was a deliberate ruse to kill the sexual relations with a minor/trafficking internal investigation if he wasn't a sitting Congressman anymore.

Do not assert a world-wide racial agenda.
Where in this post did I assert that it was world wide?
Do you really expect me to believe that "the jewish agenda" isn't the same trope it normally is?
Fuck off with your censorship, your agenda to try and force a 'jews are good, actually' narrative isn't working.
Just that they are a race that originates all evil and harm in the world. Because it's not true, even if you don't like judaism. And it's because it's still part of a Leftist meta-narrative constructing a bourgouis race and a proletariat race.
Right, it's just a coincidence that they're grossly overrepresented in pushing every social malady we're facing, including communism.
Gaetz left himself vulnerable by participating in those sex parties with the hookers. I almost think that it was an intentional trap by the powers that be because it’s exactly the same playbook that Epstein used to blackmail people. Bottom line is that you can’t fuck that many hookers as a member of congress and expect all of them to STFU. And if this thing was a honeypot all along, well then Matt played himself.
I thought "sex work is real work", according to the enemy that now wags their finger about how he shouldn't be AG.
Only the right plays these purity games. When it comes to seizing power, the left just does it. Look at Garland, Ketanji Jackson, and all of the other Biden appointees (on behalf of his puppet masters). The lesson here is to not let perfection be the enemy of good.
The reason they can do this is because they have all the institutional power on their side. Its not just our own side shooting itself.
Its them applying the law whenever it suits them, its them discarding the rules when its in their way, its them screaming the story one way and burying the truth for all the people who can't be plugged in 24/7 to have the scoop on everything.
Its beyond a "just don't engage" level problem.
It was exactly that. Joel Greenburg was using DMV record to scout talent and engaging in extortion using those underage prostitutes. When the DOJ went after Greenburg, instead off throwing the book at him, they chose to give him a deal to try and get dirt on Gaetz. The press and the DOJ itself framed it as if Gaetz was involved in Greenburg's sex trafficking. In reality, Gaetz was probably a target and victim.
In short, the FBI tried to use an testimony of a (now convicted) extortionist pimp to get rid of an unpopular Republican. Then Greenburg turned out to be so unreliable they couldn't make anything stick, so they sealed the files.
I saw multiple people predict this. A lot of takes that he was a sacrifice to draw ire to get other people flying under the radar and to help with making a deal. Could be cope, could be true.
But everyone jumping to the world is over everything is horrible, Trump is done for etc. is a bad take that just depresses everyone and causes more harm than good.
Stop picking chicks for fucks sake.
So they got rid of the only one not receiving bribes from AIPAC? We are so fucked.
I kind of wonder if Gaetz was a lighting rod to provide cover for Trump's other picks. They might not be so pissy about the likes of RFK Jr. now that they've caught a glimpse of their worst nightmare.
Now the dumb fuck isn't even a congressman anymore.
He's still a part of the next Congress, 200IQ move
Jeb, Hannity, and Graham are happy about Pam. That's all I need to know. I can't get excited about anyone who isn't recess appointed.
I fucking called it. Trump was removing perceived "anti-semites" from congress so that there will be no opposition to yet another war in the litterbox.
Weren't we mocking this pick for taking an important Congressional seat that would then need someone appointed by the state governor to fill it?

Some people WANT to whine and moan and doom...
Well since I'm not a citizen of Israel, excuse me if I don't get excited for Israel First governor Ron DeSantis picking another APAIC approved anything.
Gaetz resigned from the 118th Congress.
He is still Representative-Elect to the 119th Congress, which begins in January.
Think.
That's cope.
If you truly think WE'RE FUCKED!, you wouldn't be typing here.
You'd be marching with weapons.
The fact that you are still here implies you know this is not the end.
You'll see in two months.
Nothing can stop what's coming.
Nothing.
Can't do anything until you ungrateful backstabbers learn to sit down and shut up.
I'm happy Trump won and you call me an "ungrateful backstabber?"
Pessimism is poison, I tell you. Poison.
