I tried watching the first episode of That 90's Show, and turned it off because of how fake it all felt. The kids were way too 'inclusive' in the woke 2020's sense where all identities are valid and blah blah. Kids in the 90's would let anyone in their friend group, but not without busting their balls first. Kind of like how the gang in That 70's Show treated Fes. I really need to ask someone who was a teenager in the late 70's how accurate that show was.

The budget for GTA 3 and Vice City were both $5 million, the budget for San Andreas was $10 million. $20 million in 2004 adjusted for inflation is about $35 million today. Modern game development is a comedy of errors in inefficiency and mismanagement. The production budget for the remaster trilogy isn't available, but I'll bet is cost way more than the original productions combined (though to be fair getting the music relicensed was probably the bulk of the budget)

That's one thing I remember about the selection before they closed down, you couldn't discover interesting older movies anymore. There were the popular staples, but it was dominated by new releases and slop from the past several years. Which at that point was the orange and teal era of movies. Shelves full of movies with covers that all looked the same.
While hilarious, I looked it up and GoYum is the name of the store-brand shit they have at 7/11, and isn't affiliated with the slop conglomerate Yum. Which is odd, these companies are usually insanely litigious with their branding.

This is bittersweet. Yes, I hate what Hollywood had become as much as anyone here, but what Hollywood represented was the US exercising it's cultural dominance on the world. At one point, this was a good thing. It's just that the cultural output has slowly been poisoned over the 20th century, and in the 21st it had accelerated. This was by design. With the death of Hollywood, and Korea and Japan under an accelerated assault on their cultural output like the US and Europe, India and China will be the primary exporters of media.
