When did reddit shift from free thought to obedience and boot licking corporations for “vaccines”?

I love this quote. It explains why groups were wrong about EVERY aspect of covid.
losers would prefer a random lottery to competition. they would enter a death lottery rather than compete at life. they know they have 0% chance of winning an open competition. but if they could survive a death lottery that might take out more competent people, their chances of winning might be > 0%.
never trust a loser. never listen to a loser. never ever allow a loser/beta/commie near levers of power. never show them mercy or compassion.
Even moreso terms like “patriarchy” and “structural violence” are shame terms to put down inherent physical superiority.
That's why they all loved Thanos. In a "purely random 50%" chance most of them had a decent go at living and most of those they hated had a decent go at not.
You could see the acceptable politics switch like a pure binary switch had been thrown the day Hillary got the nomination. /r/politics instantly, with absolutely no warmup, morphed into what it is today, and as a forum's politics board goes, so goes everything else.
Member when Hillary collapsed and was dragged into a van by her staff?
Media : "Nothing happened. Everyone passes out in 80F breezy weather. This is normal."
Definitely after Aaron Swartz sold it but can't say how long after till it started to rot..
Reddit was always rotting - the scoring is the original sin - but at the start new, still sane users outpaced the infection.
If you want an inflection point it was when they removed up/down vote scores and made only the final tally visible. This was 2014, a year and a half after Swartz offed himself, but I think that's a coincidence and he had no power to stop it.
When you read a comment has 500 upvotes and 400 downvotes you think okay that's a slight majority but when you see +100 votes you think everybody super agrees. Same with downvotes. This drives a hivemind and you only need to tweak a few scores here and there to make it believe anything you want.
I always used relay for reddit, and I always saw those. Same with sorting by new, downvotes never hid anything. That's why they push their app so hard. Not just datamining, they control the environment.
They added algos to obscure voting shortly after creating subs. So, nothing inherently wrong with voting, until they made cheating easier, by claiming to make cheating harder.
The tipping point was when they banned coontown and fatpeoplehate
What if hating fat people encourages them to get healthy and lose weight?
But fat enablers end up killing them (and themselves)
How many people do fat activists kill by preventing people from hearing alternative views :

Improving yourself is right-coded. Wallowing in self-pity and blaming everyone else is left-coded.
I think it was a bit earlier, although I'm still trying to identify exactly what it was. Chairman Pao is the one who nuked coontown and fatpeoplehate, but the rot predated her or she never would have been installed in the first place.
Newfag here. Was countdown a mod or ?
That was autocorrect making me retarded, it should have been "coontown"
It had been sliding towards that shit for a while in individual subreddits, but it was really about the time Clinton ran that it ramped up in terms of site wide bullshit.
Remember the day she collapsed in public and had to be carried into a car? The immediate 24 hours was back to old reddit and not retarded, because the shills had no talking points or anything to push onto the rest of us.
The night of the 2016 Dem primary. It was like a light switch.
When they banned imgoingtohellforthis because slightly edgy memes was just too much.
Been downhill ever since.
Probably when Reddit began to become it's own thought police.
Get enough of they/them or (((them))) controlling the boards, and suddenly, you have no free expression if they don't like what you say, regardless of the subreddit rules. They will gather together to stamp you out.
Remember: Gislaine Maxwell was a mod of dozens of subreddits. Her account went dark the second she was in jail.
Ellen Pao said she knew Gislaine was at tightly controlled guest list event/party she got invited to, and knew of the child sex operation, but was more concerned about not being photographed with her.
If Digg didn't fuck up, then Digg would've become exactly what Reddit is today.
Y'see the sentence before that? Where they became their own thought police. Yeah, that one. For awhile, you could say things that some found offensive. But not anymore. And not for at least ten years.
Personally, I think it was when they let SRS and their Fempire basically dictate the entire site, having to invent (and not enforce) flimsy rules about brigading and other nonsense to try and curb their influence in scaring away people and causing trouble. Eventually metastasizing into "if you agree with the admins politics you can do whatever, anyone else will be punished."
Its really something how little SRS gets brought up when talking about our current state of things, considering its the single handed cancer that would convert reddit into the Leftist propaganda machine it is today.
I think it was a victim of its own success. It died once they had taken over the site and the focus moved to purging the few subs that they hadn't managed to infest. They all moved to AHS and everyone forgot about SRS. IIRC they pioneered AHS's tactic of spamming CP on subs they don't like to get them banned.
I think it only died because it had become too big to deny its power and influence, so reddit couldn't deny the rules coming on them any longer.
But like any good elite, rather than just getting thrown in jail, they were given plenty warning and ability to walk away into dozens of smaller "unaffiliated" subs to continue doing the same thing, like AHS and BPT.
SRS?
Shit Reddit Says. Was meant to be a basic "look at this idiot saying something out loud" point and laugh place, but quickly grew into a literally roaming mob of cancel hungry psychos who'd mass brigade, report, and bully anyone who said something out of lockstop with their politics. And they were huge.
And since it was big around the advent of Intersectionality, it wasn't just about its main cause (feminism) but also anyone not part of their proto-Woke politics about race and gays too.
It started in earnest around 2014 - 2015 in the run-up to the elections. At this point the DNC had already used the internet (Facebook) to get Obama elected and they started to have 'understandings' with the various other major social media sites in curbing/undermining/muzzling the opposition.
The DNC is in reality a coalition of mutually antagonistic elements and it requires a massive propaganda machine in order to keep all these factions together.
2015 ish, when they had a communist whore serve push a lot of communist bullshit and then serve as a scape goat while keeping the policies in place

She was a pretty talented singer though…
Chairman Pao was the earliest sign that there was a problem, but the fact that she got hired/promoted in the first place is proof that the rot predates her tenure.
It was around the same time the "Atheism+" (aka atheism plus globohomo feminist faggotry) started catching on.
When did the 'power mod' thing begin to take effect?
Get the reddit enhancement suite browser extension. Start tagging all the people that wet themselves on anything having to do with resistance to taking their coof "vaccine" or any mention of injury.
Then you'll start noticing that these same accounts are freaking out anytime someone mentions the dangers of taking birth control.
Sock puppet accounts. All of them.
Wish .win had this kind of functionality because I'm kind of seeing an NPC influx.
its a pity there isn’t a conservative version of masstagger
When Swartz was no longer the one running the site. He was the reason it was freedom oriented to begin with. Then he got arrested and supposedly committed suicide, and from there it was smooth sailing to shift one of the largest forums that were overwhelmingly libertarian oriented towards being the biggest bootlickers imaginable with as little resistance as possible.
I feel sorry when people's legacies are actively and openly twisted into the very opposite of what they stood for. Swartz didn't want Reddit to be like what it is today. And yeah, he wasn't right-wing, but at least at the time he was consistent in his stances and firmly stood against the state.
r/all was already largely shit when I joined in 2011. Such is the way of any platform that doesn't undertake exclusionary measures to curtail groupthink and other human maladies.
When they purged all the disobedient mods after the mod protest.
I mean even that guy's name sounds like a villain in a stan lee comic.
He's an Agent of Chaos. He's also correct.
The leftists are trained well.
All the media has to do to get them to believe something (or do something) is tell them MAGA trumpers are saying (or doing) the exact opposite, even if that's not true at all.
Around 2015, the signs were there. This was back when r/thedonald (or was it the_donald) was getting their content on r/all by simply upvoting things. No cheating, no "rigging", just playing by the rules of the game. Since the butthurt left can't tolerate that, the jannies contaminated their own algorithm with exception-logic to make sure only MESSAGE-APPROVED content got to the NPCs.
Eventually, they took thedonald down for (((reasons))), as with anything else to the right of Karl Marx. You'll get banned for bringing right-leaning views into their safe spaces, but it's funny how the r/conservative sub is constantly brigaded and infected with leftists that get voted to the top, while the mods there do diddly-fuck-all about it other than banning someone that goes too far right.
After the "election" in 2020, there was a unified movement across all Big Tech to censor wrongthink, and reddit happily obliged. After all, we can't have the people sharing notes after this shit now can we. Now all that remains beyond leftist no-go zones are some smaller tech-subs that are too complicated for normies to inject wokeness in just yet.
I'm not very familiar with Preddit's history, but is it possible that Preddit was always majorly regressive and just hyped up "free thought" for internet culture, video games, atheism and anti-war (see: Ron Paul) stuff that just wasn't well represented in the mainstream in earlier times? Or perhaps the rot began to seep in after stuff like Occupy Wall Street?
Man, I miss cringeanarchy
I didn't notice it until the Axo drama.
Reddit was all about unquestioning obedience to Fauci and masking. You could get a permanent ban for questioning if 3 months testing was long enough to declare a vaccine safe for pregnancy…
One of the first things they censored about the vax was that virologists knew up front that you can't vaccinate against a respiratory virus, and therefore it was known even before the vax was released that it would be ineffective, and that it would require boosters every few months for even the slight effect that it might have. Nobody today seems to remember that particular detail, which tells me they caught on to it when it was just starting to get talked about.
One of the greatest feats of the regressive movement has been convincing people that they're the counterculture as they march in lockstep with the party that has been in control for the last 12 out of 16 years (and arguably the other 4 as well).
There's only one Party: the Jewish Party.
Obviously if you have nothing to lose you can't be easily controlled, but he said low status, not lowest status. The easiest groups of people to control are the status insecure, people with something to lose but nothing to spare.
Such as college-educated millennials who found out the hard way that they were lied to about a college degree being a guarantee of a safe and comfortable life. Not to mention the tension between the bean counter class and the oligarchs that wanna replace them with AI. A lot of millennials have been conditioned to associate freedom with chaos and to blame the uncertainty of their future on the mythical "free market" (since they don't know the difference between crony capitalism and actual free markets).
A more humorous example are the tranny jannies who've been sold the lie that they can climb one level above incels by putting on lipstick and a wig. Or the blue hair landwhales who think the fact that there are guys desperate enough to bone them makes them less pathetic than incels.
