What kind of people listen to these government propagandists?

EVERYONE knew Russia would win this from the start.

EVERYONE knew Russia would win this from the start.

I have been under the impression since almost week 1 of the invasion that Russia had already basically achieved its goals and most of what has happened since then is impotent tantrum-throwing by globohomo.

You could watch the switch in real time, and not just on this board. "What time is it in Tel Aviv?" could be asked all around.

I'm pro Ukraine, because being attacked by another nation is shit. I know some Ukrainian people and they're nice and just everyday people like I and every other white European.
I'm anti Zelensky, and I don't think he has the best of the Ukrainian people in mind.
I don't think Ukraine has (ever had) a chance of winning the war. The only option was if NATO would've entered the war fully with soldiers & full weapon support. Since that's not on the table (and I don't call for that) it's a war of attrition killing thousands of Ukrainians for nothing.
There should be peace with Ukraine losing some territories (Crimea, Donbass, ...). After that I personally wish that Ukraine would get NATO protection, but I don't know if that is feasible. Again that's a personal wish, not a logical step.
Ukraine should not be part of the EU, corruption is way too deeply rooted in it atm (see Zelensky).

There were thousands of deliberate "Fuck You" violations of the Minsk Accords, including artillery shelling of Russian oil drilling operations in the Donbass.

At this point the Ukrainians should present the Russians with the bodies of their unelected leadership and beg for mercy. Instead they get a chance to be an example.

What did you think was going to happen?

Sounds like a perfect fit for the EU then.

Ethnically Russian areas are not interested in being ruled by the Ukrainians and their cross dressing gay jew actor president.

It's the same logic we used to bomb Serbia until they gave up Kosovo despite Kosovo being both the ancestral serbian homeland as well as a integral part of Modern Serbia.

Still around.

Those who think Putin is benevolent have never lived in Russia.

Ukraine is far from perfect, but the invasion by Muslim chechens raping and pillaging white Ukrainians is abhorrent.

So now a false dichotomy?

You can think that Putin is a prick and still not support violation of the Minsk Accords, money laundering or an unelected puppet government.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– Slav4U 3 points 2 years ago +3 / -0

And the solution of that is invasion and rape of the ordinary people who live there?

Edit: everyone in the west is living under a "corrupt puppet government". When an outside power invaded, rapes your children, and destroys your city, you will know how the average Ukrainian feels.

Ukraine will run out of people faster than Russia. Ukraine needs to look for peace even if that means they lose land. Lets be honest, they no longer have the population for those lands anyways.
The lives of Ukrainian people are more important than the land and Zelensky's megalomaniac larp. Alternatively he can get his ass on the front and fight like he wants everyone else to do.

– Slav4U 3 points 2 years ago +3 / -0

That's only true if Ukraine keeps trying stupid "counter offensives". Slow coordinated retreats and guerilla tactics would be more effective.

That or assaulting Russian territory weak points, which nato has forbidden them to do.

Frankly I think they would have been better rejecting western support and fighting dirty from the start.

Eh, there has always been a bit of a split, though its actually been more in favor of Russia than Ukraine. Only a few exceptionally vocal accounts have been pro Ukraine, and they have been more or less chased off because they keep getting called out....plus at least one of them tends to glow a lot (constantly trying to drive a knife into populist movements, and create schisms).

I pointed this out to someone recently. If you look at the news Ukraine is always winning, winning, winning; Russia is always losing, losing losing.

However, I pointed out that Russia is always "losing" at a new town every month or so, and those towns they keep "losing" are always moving westward...

This. The shocker to the world was that Russia didn't blow through the Ukraine like Germany blew through France in 1940.

Instead, they're winning the only way Russia seems to know how- keep both sides dying until the other side runs out of soldiers.

Russia has de-facto annexed Crimea, breezed-through large parts of Eastern provinces, and the Ukrainian army with the whole financial, strategic and weapon shipments backing of Europe and the USA, has been unable to push the Russian forces out.

"For the first time it looks like Russia could win."

~Presstitutes who lied about everything.

It's not the fist time Russia has de-facto annexed russified parts of its neighbours. All the West does is send strongly-worded letters. Russia knows the USA and Europe are weak.

it wasn't even a war.

all the territories taken were 90%+ russian already. elon suggested the UN hold a referendum for each territory, requiring 90%+ vote to have it switch to russia, and they tried to cancel him for it... because anyone who actually checked the facts knows these people wanted it. the "resistance" wasn't even locals. they were outsiders from elsewhere who wanted to keep more tax slaves.

That whole part of the war where tens of thousands of soldiers drove towards Kiev, basically just parked on the road for weeks, nobody shot artillery or dropped bombs on them, and they just turned around and drove back to Belarus was really weird.

I lost track of what it would mean to “win.” When this started, the media assured me that if Putin didn’t conquer all of Ukraine within a couple of days it would be a unmitigated disaster for him and prove how meaningless he and his army were. So how can he win when he apparently already lost? The media wasn’t feeding me bullshit, were they? :o

Apparently they're alerting their MSM useful idiots.

Israel won the war for him. They get slapped around by sand people, the US drops whatever war-profiteering is going on and shifts over to that. Zelenski's yachts are headline news and the NPCs have already been issued their patch update to shift their attention elsewhere.

He now has his land bridge to Crimea and of course Crimea.

That land bridge is actually in jeopardy. It will not really take much to bring it into artillery range. They have already breached one of those anti-tank barriers. But the winter might slow things down.

Zelensky’s rule is in jeopardy.

He was elected because he ran on reinstating the Minsk peace accords. As soon as he was elected he did the exact opposite.

Now he has banned elections and arrests journalists.

Who isn't broke as fuck? Literally every nation on earth has enough debt to last the next 100 years. I'll put bets on russia who actually harvest carbon energy sources which are the source of all industrial wealth.

Meanwhile the collective west doubles down on climate change as a way to off ramp even more energy supplies.
