BL 3 was already horrible enough for me. The entire cast of the the game that does anything of importance are a bunch of girlbosses. The male characters are either black, gay, or both. New characters that are introduced are the worst stereotypes of SJW writing.
I slogged through the game dreading the cutscenes and dialogue hoping that the game mechanics and the fact I was playing co-op to carry my enjoyment.
The worst part is I knew exactly how it was going to be before starting. One of the characters having they/them pronouns and IRL people getting banned for "mis-gendering" a videogame character was the biggest red flag in the history of video games.
I bought the presequel in a massive sale. Suffice to say, I could not finish it. It was that bad. So I couldn't bother with borderlands 3 nor am I even remotely interested in this new one.

I have a very strange relationship overall with Borderlands. I actually thought OG Borderlands was the forgettable one. I still remember the personalities and a lot of the side characters who would become big names in the series, but honestly? I literally couldnt tell you what the story was. Everything between the start and the fight with The Vault is a blur.
Meanwhile, Borderlands 2 is still one of my favorite games, Jack is one of my favorite villains, and I can give an beat by beat synopsis of the general plot.
The Pre-sequel was something that I also just kind of stumbled through, but I still did enjoy seeing more of Jack before he went crazy, so there is that.
Borderlands 3 I had a weird love/hate relationship with. I loved the player characters (especially Zane and Moze), I enjoyed most of the side characters, and I liked the gameplay more than the previous games......but any time the actual story came up the Twins reminded me how much I wanted to just ignore it all, and I wanted to yeet Ava from an airlock.
But that was the last Borderlands for me, because nothing about Tinas game really caught my attention. And now that its actually out, sounds like I am not the only one. What a shame how the mighty have fallen.

For Pre-sequel I wanted to shoot that mechanic, engineer or whatever woke SJW character that you had to talk at the beginning of the game, and then moved to the hub. I don't remember her name, but she was one of the most annoying characters out there, she made me stop playing.

The first game was highly original and pretty great, the second game was a marked improvement in several areas with a decent uptick in wokeness, and the third game was full-on radfem propaganda overshadowing any developments in gameplay.
Borderlands 1: A soulless slog that introduced RPG mechanics into a shooter to make the worst of both worlds. A shooter with bad, boring shooting mechanics & an RPG with a shallow uninteresting mechanical backend.
All tied together with a narrative so boring and cliche that even playing in multiplayer, you are bound to fall asleep multiple times.

Then they had a whole DLC which focused on a fag wedding it pushed from barely playable to irredeemable.

To be honest, after BL2 (started getting bored 75% in) and the presequel (quit at about 20% in), the only thing I remember fondly from BL is claptrap.
