Disagree, the first game was really good for its time. The second game refined the gameplay model well and the original Dragon Keep DLC main story was actually decent video game writing (side quests had inserted feminism though).
Pre-Sequal was where the corner was turned. There was literally not a single memorable quest or character and they had to beat you over the head with "inclusivity" right from the get go.
The third game is where everything flipped and "THE MESSAGE" became more important than any other consideration. The gameplay was still good but the story and characters were so cringe that it demotivated you from finishing because every cutscene and scory beat was a penalty. Then they had a whole DLC which focused on a fag wedding it pushed from barely playable to irredeemable.
i played the first game with friends and they basically had to drag me to play it. i noped out the second we were done with the main story. god i hated that game.
