I suspect that many people in Revolutionary France cheered the execution of others the day before they faced the guillotine themselves.

I would like to be treated like god-emperor of the world. Anyone who shoots me it breaking the terms of service.

I read a book a while back called Color: A Natural History. The author mentions one of the pigments used for skin tones by certain artists darkens over time. Note how the highlights are too light to match the rest of her face. This is closer to her original skin color. It's understandable why someone would think that she's black at first glance, but its based on ignorance.

Based on what I've seen lately, their position is now that "woman" is a meaningless label that only indicates membership to a set. Therefore, claiming to be a woman is literally the only thing needed to be a woman.

I don't think they can screw with it too much. Maybe I'm wrong, but its been my impression that Narnia fans skew heavily toward Christianity. They're not going to tolerate trans Aslan.

I believe the Narnia Code wasn't written when the Disney movies were made. It might be interesting to see what they come up with when they incorporate the planetary themes into the films.

I think it comes from growing up in a world of participation trophies and hug boxes. It leads to the idea that the only way to valid way to respond to a work is praise.

Conversely, it follows that if the government can require you to undergo a procedure, it can bar you from undergoing a procedure.

With the current state of things, it's probably better to assume everything is woke and search for signs that it's not.

The advice used to be "Never meet your heroes". Social media's made it impossible not to.

If parents don't get a say in what the local public school teaches, they should be able to take the tax money allocated for their child's education to another school.

'In other words, I felt being immunised twice would bolster the numbers [NSW's vaccination rate] and erase one anti-vaxxer from the statistics,' Mr Bouchet told Daily Mail Australia.

That's just cooking the books. If he was really worried about the virus, he'd worry about the number of people who've actually gotten vaccinated.

I don't know. Is this targeted to women? This seems like the cover for a game about a guy having women check him out at the beach.

It wouldn't matter. They invented the field of "science studies" in order to appoint themselves arbiters of what's acceptable in science anyway.

I'd say its ok for classrooms where they teach geography too.

That chart isn't the best way to present their argument, which is "Climate change is a good thing because it leads to fewer temperature related deaths." They should show use a bar chart instead.

However, if you're going to make the argument that climate change is saving lives, you shouldn't constrain yourself to temperature related deaths. To make that argument, you'd have to account for all causes of death related to climate change.

Hey, didn't they just make a federal holiday a few months ago celebrating the end of slavery in the US that wasn't the date of the Emancipation Proclamation?

No taxation without representation.

There's a difference. The colonists were disenfranchised by their own country and being targeted with heavy taxes. Non-citizen workers consented to a certain amount of taxes when they got their work visa, or they're here illegally and have no right to complain.
