They’re also changing the menu and the entire store section. This is after the current and last CEO (both women) drove sales into the ground, so they are now “renovating” by removing the only parts of Cracker Barrel that were unique to it. Hope y’all are excited for the new “modernized” Cracker Barrel!

Last time I went to a Cracker Barrel it was horrible. Tough as leather pancakes, brother's burger actually burned, biscuits as flavorless salt bombs that were only vehicles to eat butter.
The place being half-empty on a Sunday should have been all the warning to walk out. On the other hand, the nearest place for breakfast would have been Waffle House and this particular one probably hasn't had a white person enter it in the last 5 years.

Old logo wasn't very good, but new one is too simple and forgettable. Should at least have kept the brown border, and preferably some other indications that shape is supposed to be a barrel

It doesn't look like a barrel at all. The old one didn't either, but it wasn't trying to: The barrel was in the picture beside the nameplate. But that's what it looks like, a name-plate. Barrels don't have pointed middles. That would let stuff get stuck in there and cause problems.
