Also that's the way I feel about Made in Abyss. The concept, art, and villains/creatures are just phenomenal. I truly just want to get lost in exploring the background elements and pages of landscapes of it. The artist is legit one of the best in the market on pure talent.
But then you get to the main characters and what they get into and the obvious problem arises. Makes it hard to enjoy and even harder to recommend to anyone.
Surely someone who thinks like that must want a separate space to exist where all these assholes they don't like can congregate to do their own thing, away from the decent spaces where good upstanding adults spend their leisure time... right?

A handful of the characters are serviceable, but with a granny rapper, male characters designed to confuse people (Geeta, Grusha and Rika), a toddler-sized Elite Four member claiming to be 9, various hairstyles and appearances that put the craziness of SwSh to shame (especially the Team Star Squad bosses), it's a whole lot of NOPE.The series is probably fully compromised at this point.
