Up next: a pun about Jungle Love and how it can be used to troll the devs into adding what they think is a topical DEI checklist to a group that simply aren't.
There was three layers of acceptance to it, too, to help it along:
First, in Fate/Stay, you don't learn Saber's identity until like 5 hours into the game. You're invested, that's like a full season worth of an anime, and that's in Saber's story-focused arc (and mandatory first arc). You learn to love "Saber", and then "Saber" simply gains a second name. There is no attempted theft or coattail-riding of an IP's protagonist. This buys a LOT of goodwill.
Second, multiverse theory is multiverse fact: There IS a male version. You meet him a couple times in the expanded universe. Saber isn't erasing the male hero-king, she's just another iteration.
And third, Saber does suffer narrative penalty for being R63'd: Iskander disrespects her for slacking in personal strength, Gilgamesh tries to own her (both in-character for their heroic eras of the past with women). One of her masters literally never spoke to her except to use command spells, because she was supposed to be male in-universe too.
Easy fix, have the new OC be added part way through the game and then make the titular character actually evil and the big bad at the end you now have to kill because he was infected by faraltrightmemes for reasons and now needs replacedrepatriated liberated by his internalised evil.
Done with all the nuance and subtlety of multiple bricks through a window, of course 🙄
People are exhausted with black male protagonists, too. Put a badass white/Asian dude or a hot chick in your game, or suffer the financial consequences of ignoring your primary audience.
agreed, but could we at least temper the whole hot chick part so we don't go from DEI propaganda to pornography? feels like it's just two sides of the same coin.
sure, but once you've got close-ups of the character's ass in Stellar Blade posted online with the title "look, they put a heart where her clitoris would be on her fat cameltoe" the line starts blurring.
Something I also brought up in the past is that it's contradictory to shame whores and slobber over lascivious fictional content. People are always going to take cues from popular characters so if skimpy waifus get a lot of love then cosplayers start dressing up as them, and how do you object to that?

Hahah the main character's name is Sargon. Was it an attempt to troll Carl Benjamin? Best I know Persians didn't use the name Sargon, it was Mesopotamian, I would dig and see what's the in game story reason behind the name but I don't fucking care.
Is it officially cancelled now? I had heard that the problem was the studio that had the remake originally had no idea how to make a game by themselves so they got it taken from their team and it was put on the back burner until a compentent (lol) team could handle it.
This seems of minimal importance. Teams often get disbanded after a game is done is my understanding. If the game flopped then there's no need to keep the creative team together in the hopes of cranking out a sequel or additional garbage monetization schemes(read: DLC).
Honestly, the game was surprisingly pretty good. It has this weird feeling about it, like the regular Ubisoft overreachers had zero input in its development. It's a shame they had such little confidence in it, because it had little to no real advertising, which really hurt its selling potential. You can play a demo of it on the Switch if you don't believe me. Though, I would have preferred it if it had its own identity rather than parasitised the PoP franchise. That did it no favors.
Yeah, a lot of people saying "Wait, the game that was actually well made and enjoyable is the one getting its dev team shut down, not all the other shit?"
I mean, even as far as normie attitudes go, it's certainly a step forward.
Didn't even consider buying this, for the undercut alone. But the gameplay trailer had me surprised they dared to ask for 40 bucks. It looked like mobile game shovel ware.
Maybe if they made him gay and sassy it would sell better
The Artist Formerly Known as Prince of Persia.
With a day 1 DLC pack: Purple Reign.
I would play that
Up next: a pun about Jungle Love and how it can be used to troll the devs into adding what they think is a topical DEI checklist to a group that simply aren't.
Oh we oh we oh!
So long as I can play basketball as Prince, I'm in.
Game, blouses.
I got a YouTube ban for calling him the Fresh Prince of Persia 😆
Fags.
They would have made it a black girl with an afro if "Prince" wasn't part of the title. I'm surprised they didn't do it anyway.
They did have a whole movie about a "woman king".
The only fiction that ever made that work was Fate/Stay Night, and that was partly due to making her beautiful.
Badass, too.
"Thing, Japan" is a cheat code for finding exceptions to the rule.

Afaik this isn't even the titular prince, but some dude who's got to save him. But it's been a while, since I saw the trailer.
The outfit and hairstyle already makes him look like a faggot.
And purple

Stellar Blade was an hit in part because it had a hot female lead and no niggers.
Even Squarenix didnt dare to uglyfy the female leads in the FF7 remakes cause they know the game would bomb hard.
Morale story: no one wants niggers nor ugly chics in their games.

As chaos increases the market lurches to extremes, but fundamentally hot chicks are not the same as porn.

Lol wow.

Don't look to coomers or your own inner coomer for moral guidance.
Hot videogame women made for the enjoyment of straight men is the same as DEI propaganda? Lol.
feminism is a control mechanism designed to make men useless.
pornography is a control mechanism designed to make men useless.
Hot women aren't pornography.
Pornography is pornography.
sure, but once you've got close-ups of the character's ass in Stellar Blade posted online with the title "look, they put a heart where her clitoris would be on her fat cameltoe" the line starts blurring.
That's just funny.
Still not pornography.
I like my women the way I like my mole rats, naked.
Gayeeeee!!!
It's funny how the lefties always screech about representation but it only works in one direction somehow.
Well, I personally do not feel "represented" by another Tarantula-headed, random African. So, I do not buy those products.
Off topic...but what a lazy-ass editor.
Don't forget linking to REEEsetera users...

Pretty sure it's just lazy historical research.
The funny thing is that they cancelled "The Sands of Time" remake for this.
Thank God. That was one of the best games of that generation. I'd hate to see what they did to it today.
The Prince would probably die half-way through so Farah could finish the game.
There are times I consider going and buying the Sands collection, but that'd still be supporting Ubisoft.
buy it second hand?
Is it officially cancelled now? I had heard that the problem was the studio that had the remake originally had no idea how to make a game by themselves so they got it taken from their team and it was put on the back burner until a compentent (lol) team could handle it.
We wuz developerz.
For once at least even as much as the past tense is justified.
This came out? Never heard of it.
For a second I thought it said ‘Lost Clown Team’

Is this the game featuring no prince and no Persia
Game wasn't bad beyond the DEI faggotry. An actually solid game drowned by Ubislop trash

I know this guy has the DEI haircut but this game wasn't half bad. Fun level design and combat
Zero tolerance.
There's plenty of other stuff to play and do. Don't give your money and attention to people who hate you.
I mean if you can watch 300 with the dumbass drag Xerxes the persian, then this persian isn't bad.
Gameplay loop was definitely fun. Needed a good metroidvania that was more action than maze.
And with the vaporware that Silksong has become, will take anything half decent.
Also don't forget the rum and the yo ho ho, since the team is fired, and Ubi just needs to be buried.
Drag Xerxes was the antagonist. His degeneracy is presented as a bad thing.
But muh ubishit
