Dialogue-wise it is suspiciously on-the-nose, but I’m not sure that the character itself is faked. That’s my concern. I’m just pointing IF this character or another character appears that wouldn’t make sense for the time period, then I won’t buy the game.
Pics from 4chan came out a few days ago where a man from Mali introduces himself as a medical physician and an explorer. Problem is that there is no reason why a Sub-Saharan man from Mali would travel all the way to land-locked Kutna Hora.
The dialogue is way too cringe to be real (I would hope), but the fact that not even terminally online Daniel Vavra has commented on this makes me think that this is more legitimate than not, particularly when people are bombarding his Twitter with this. I’m remaining cautious of purchasing this game until I get confirmation that this game doesn’t include sub-saharan people. If it does include them, then Daniel Vavra loses any right to call himself “based” and I will never buy this game or any other game Warhorse Studios makes.
Even with other children, the father has to realize that this threat will always exist for his other children no matter what he does to protect them within the limits of the law. The other men and fathers in the community should have realized this too. That their community can only be protected by taking actions the Government refuses to do.
The truth is probably that it was never intended to fill hard to recruit positions. The disasters of today were put in motion by the “Greatest Generation” and the “Silent Generation” along with the boomers. I think we have to accept the fact that there were never good intentions, merely ways to exploit the populace.
The police and the government suppressed and protected this sex trafficking ring, and the people merely looked on and shrugged. The parents shrugged as their children had their lives destroyed, because they were convinced that having a job and a stable income were more important than pursuing justice.
What breaks a man when the torture of their children leaves them unfazed? What breaks a people when they merely sigh at their future being savagely stolen from them?
Sorry, my original post was me being retarded.
I still advocate not buying products as a knee-jerk reaction to this culture war stuff, because I guarantee you that the vast majority of the developers can’t handle the heat and will capitulate shortly after the controversy begins, or were already left-leaning and are willing to give in to seem “reasonable.” If you want to support a creator after a controversy, wait 2-3 months afterwards to make sure your support isn’t wasted.
Agreed, the more I think about it, the more I see the ankle thing as a very autistic reaction by Matt. Though to be fair, it was probably just the straw that broke the camel’s back, but that was partially on him for letting things get this bad rather than talking to Blonde about her laziness (in nicer terms than “laziness”). I think Blonde is going become more unstable and have more woman moments that will eventually lead her to dropping off the internet altogether.
Yeah, there were definitely multiple moments throughout her appearances on the show where she appeared very unstable and did not even show any sense of remorse for her unhinged actions (the ghosting of one of her boyfriends was pretty damn insane). She admits that she is guilty of being a woman, but just gives in to those feminine tendencies that she claims to despise rather then try to overcome them.
Mansa’s pilgrimage didn’t take him through Kutna Hora, and he died in 1337, about 66 years prior to when the game takes place.
