I’m shocked a movie set armorer is a mentally deranged woman/thing, oh wait, it’s 2021

NotAGlowy 26 points ago +26 / -0

We need to hire some more -merit- and some less -diversity-.

If She claims she got nasty tweets then she will be hailed as a hero.

NataliePortmanteau 32 points ago +32 / -0

EXEC 1: The movie armory business is too male dominated! We need more women!!

EXEC 2: Uhh...there are almost no women in this industry. There's one woman whose father was a well-known movie armorer..."

EXEC 2: Well... she's only 23 and has only done one movie before this that didn't have nearly as many intense firearms scenes...and she seems kind of nervous around guns despite being raised around them..

EXEC 1: (checking her Instagram) She's perfect.

borga 7 points ago +7 / -0

I really feel that this was the exact conversation, word by word with probably a couple different.

quantumwannabe 18 points ago +18 / -0

This wasn’t just diversity, it was nepotism. Her father is a very well known competitive shooter who was part of the same group as Jeff Cooper. There’s an interview she did with some old guys who knew (of?) her dad, and she sounds incompetent but they don’t notice because they are projecting their image of her father onto her. There is a zero percent chance her father would have made a mistake like this, but he probably thought his little girl actually listened to him and wasn’t a leftist thot. Judging by her hyphenated last name, she likely grew up in a broken home.

BlueDrache 8 points ago +8 / -0

She probably hit the casting couch ... willingly ...

lapalapa 8 points ago +8 / -0

Everyone on that couch chooses it willingly.

Baron_Bubbles 6 points ago +6 / -0

Jokes on you. The couch became sentient in that moment so it wouldn't have her sitting on it.

TentElephant 6 points ago +6 / -0

Found the interview here. They know she is full of shit, but they are too polite to destroy a woman on a friendly interview and are trying to build up her confidence. Although, one dude does goes full white knight.

borga 7 points ago +7 / -0

She sounds what you expect of a 23 year mindless woman that "did some modelling". She doesn't sound as someone you want to take care of your guns

HikingPatriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Judging by her hyphenated last name, she likely grew up in a broken home.

Her maiden name appears to be Hispanic and it's not uncommon for Hispanic women to keep their maiden names and hyphenate with the last name of the new husband.

toxicbiofacts 16 points ago +16 / -0

oh wait, it’s current year + 7

lapalapa 3 points ago +3 / -0

+6 you mean.

SupremeReader 41 points ago +41 / -0

She's not even good looking, in her own pictures.

Ahaus667 29 points ago +29 / -0

overrun 11 points ago +11 / -0

Also a published alternative model!

Was it wrong to translate as onlyfans soyjak grifter?

yvaN_ehT_nioJ 24 points ago +24 / -0

Lose weight, drop the short hair, kick the hair dye, dress in flattering clothes (which, tbf tougher to do when you're fat lol) and she'd probably jump up a few points easy. That she's apparently a "model" shows men in general have absolutely 0 standards.

PizzaExpressInWoking 24 points ago +24 / -0

Even if she were to do everything you mentioned, she'd still look like a trashy, inked up hoe. All of those tattoos means she's permanently ruined.

yvaN_ehT_nioJ 15 points ago +15 / -0

I knew someone would mention the tats! 🤣 I would've said get the tattoos removed but fat chance of getting someone that inked up to do that. 💯% they look like absolute trash.

MargarineMongoose 13 points ago +15 / -2

That she's apparently a "model" shows men in general have absolutely 0 standards.

This is a pretty insidious problem that we need to collectively address. Shame your bros for their bad taste.

SparkMandrill83 13 points ago +13 / -0

Is it even about taste, tho? I bet its more desperation to get your dick wet than anything else.

MargarineMongoose 13 points ago +13 / -0

Whatever it is, it needs to be viciously shamed.

anonymous570861 7 points ago +7 / -0

I bet its more desperation to get your dick wet than anything else.

Legalized prostitution would solve so many social problems between men & women. Men would be alot less desperate and women would have to offer something besides pussy in relationships.

yvaN_ehT_nioJ 11 points ago +11 / -0

I'm skeptical it would. From what I understand the guys in countries with legalized prostitution have the same issues the ones in the US and other Western countries have. There's been a lot of discussion about that in the pill subs(*and manosphere in general) since the problems extend past just simply not being able to have the sex with a gril

nankingRoastie 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, the problem has been the feminist push to trend maleness as both evil and undesirable, yet you should get yourself some of that hottest man dick.

And thne women all pile onto one man, the hottest in the room, he gets multiples of them pregnant or stds, they complain he uses them for sex, and that he leaves them [because he has options so why wouldnt he], and they repeat the process because that experience with men with options translates to all men, so if you're going to be abused and used up, you might as well be abused and used up by the hottest guys available, rather than "settle".

Women are highly sensitive to disgust, and feminism has has a 100 year long campaign to paint men, male's bodies, and their behavior, as innately disgusting. Only an attractive face and body overrides this programming.

anon12 7 points ago +7 / -0

any woman can call themselves a model on IG tbf tho

Baldwin shot and killed Halyna Hutchins, whose husband Matthew Hutchins just happens to be an attorney for DC powerhouse law firm Latham & Watkins - a law firm that represented the Clintons.

bamboozler1 8 points ago +8 / -0

Ok, so I looked at those, and imma say she… Used to be kind of hot. Which… Is rather sad, but also shows how much of a difference (in a bad way) overeating, putting on weight, and getting a nose ring makes… And the hair, as pointed out above. 😳

blyat56 32 points ago +32 / -0

Frankly as soon as I heard a 20-something woman was in charge of firearms safety, I knew whose fault this would end up being.

What kind of a fucking retard puts a brain damaged instathot in charge of...anything?

Satanic_Panic_Room 25 points ago +25 / -0

He still should have checked the gun and practiced firearms safety. She contributed, but Alec should be the one facing charges. He won't of course.

ernsithe 21 points ago +21 / -0

I hope I'm wrong about this but you have:

  1. The wealthy high-profile Democrat mouth piece who pulled the trigger and is the producer.
  2. The 20-something instathot armorer who prepared the gun.
  3. The random white male assistant director who picked the gun she prepared and handed it to Baldwin.

It I was guy #3 I would be getting a very good lawyer right now because you know they going to try protect the other two.

blyat56 -10 points ago +9 / -19

If somebody hands you a Nerf gun and says "this is a Nerf gun, it's safe", do you grab a screwdriver and open it up to see if there's a real barrel and a real cartridge hidden inside? No, because it's a Nerf gun, and it's expected to be safe just like every other Nerf gun you've used for 40 years.

Archie78 29 points ago +30 / -1

are you functionally fucking retarded? there's a huge difference between nerf gun and to all intents and purposes a fully funtional firearm, rule 0 check its clear, rule 1 never point the fucking thing at something you do not wish to kill, rule 2 clear your fucking weapon, rule 3 treat it like it's fucking loaded with live rounds at all fucking times, rule 4 clear your fucking weapon, i'm a brit and i know this shit how could a yank, even a retarded lefty like baldwin not?

IfThatIsWhatYouThink 10 points ago +10 / -0

i'm a brit and i know this shit how could a yank, even a retarded lefty like baldwin not?

For some reason most anti gun rights people seem to be willfully ignorant on how firearms work and are handled. Look up "The thing that goes up" if you want to see a politician make a fool of herself.

M1919A2 20 points ago +20 / -0

He wasn't handed a gun made of plastic. He was handed a functional firearm and it should have been treated as such and checked by him. Just about all of the 12 golden rules of firearms safety were violated in this situation. Had they been followed everyone today.

Always treat the gun as loaded.

Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.

Always keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.

Always keep the gun unloaded until you are ready to use it.

Never point the gun at anything you don't intend to destroy.

Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

Learn the mechanical and handling characteristics of the gun you are using.

Always use proper Ammunition.

Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions before loading and shooting.

If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled, hold your shooting position for several seconds; then with the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, carefully unload the gun.

Don't rely on the gun's safety to keep it from firing.

Be aware of your surroundings when handling guns so you don't trip or lose your balance and accidentally point and/or fire the gun at anyone or anything.

blyat56 4 points ago +6 / -2

Actors are specifically instructed NOT to manipulate prop guns beyond the needs of the scene. They are not to load, unload, disassemble, check, or otherwise fiddle with them. Armorers do EVERYTHING for them then instruct them on exactly what to do for that shot.

Diaboli-Sem 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is correct.

Imagine the opportunities for fuck-ups that would happen if every ignorant, bonehead actor who was given a gun on set said, "Hold everything while I disassemble this MP-5 to check the barrel for obstructions, and unload every mag to verify that there are only blank rounds in it!"

Actors should definitely receive basic firearms safety training if they're going to be using guns on set, and they should have the understanding that even blanks can kill.

But it is definitely not their job to be gunsmiths.

Also, imagine a movie where all the real firearm safety rules were enforced.

Director: Okay, in this scene, you point your gun at the bad guy and say, "Freeze, asshole!"

Actor: But I must never point a gun at anything I do not intend to destroy! How about I don't pull my gun, and I say "Freeze, asshole, or I will pull my gun out and point it at you!"

Hey, better to be safe, right?

blyat56 1 point ago +1 / -0

You are allowed to break gun safety on a movie set because of all the upstream efforts that go into sanitizing the set, checking and maintaining the equipment, and planning out the scene in order to enable you to break gun safety. A failure of that system is not the actor's fault, nor is the actor the quality control agent tasked with preventing those failures.

The attention needs to be on who the fuck brought live ammo onto the set and loaded it into a gun.

M1919A2 2 points ago +2 / -0

Which is why this happened. Hollywood thinks they are "special" and above the rules that apply to everyone else handling a firearm whether it taking it out of the safe to clean it, at a store, at the range, or on duty. The point is they are not above the rules. Had they followed the 12 golden rules we wouldn't be having this discussion.

That means actors and anyone handling a firearm are given training on the mechanical function of the guns, how to load/unload, and do a safety check.

Something that is driven home in every defensive shooting class, every CCW class, every hunters ed class is that ultimately the person who pulls the trigger is the person who bears responsibility for what comes out of the barrel.

Assassin47 13 points ago +14 / -1

You're probably not aware of the facts. Everyone knew it was a real gun. The media calling it a "prop gun" is a distraction. But that would be funny if that's his lawyers' defense. "SHE SAID IT WAS A NERF GUN!"

blyat56 4 points ago +4 / -0

No, I know full well what the facts are. He was handed, probably, an off the shelf Uberti or Pietta SAA by a prop attendant and did with it exactly what he was instructed to do for the scene. Those instructions do NOT include actors manipulating, checking, loading, unloading, or otherwise touching the gun in any way outside of the specific instructions of the scene. Safety is not his job, in fact he's going to be screamed at if he pulls the gun out and starts fucking around with it.

The gun is delivered into the actors hands in a safe condition and they have no duty of care to prove it otherwise. There are ENTIRE people on set whose ENTIRE job is handling that.

Assassin47 4 points ago +4 / -0

Then I don't know why you think he was told it's a Nerf gun. (or figuratively, a non-working prop) I wasn't there but that doesn't sound reasonable. I agree it's not his job to make sure the barrel is clear, but I would not be surprised if he didn't do exactly as told. (knowing him, people are probably afraid to scream at him about safety)

blyat56 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's literally not his job to make the gun safe. There is an entire chain of people whose job it is to make sure the gun is safe. It's like blaming me if I put my card into an ATM and the ATM explodes. I have no reason to expect the ATM will explode. There is a whole world of ATM technicians whose job it is to make sure they don't explode. I have no duty or responsibility to open up the ATM and check it for bombs before I use it.

GrugHungry 7 points ago +8 / -1

Haha keep defending Alec Baldwin, dude. He will definitely do the same for you.

Satanic_Panic_Room 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Prop" guns on movie sets are rarely ever actually prop guns, just real guns loaded with blanks.

Ricky_CIA 6 points ago +6 / -0

Well... Bang Bang Baldwin was the producer of the film soooooo...

yvaN_ehT_nioJ 26 points ago +26 / -0

How to say "Dad's not around" without actually saying it.

NataliePortmanteau 17 points ago +17 / -0

If dad was around, that person probably wouldn't be dead. Because he would have plugged the blanks correctly.

Idiot daughter syndrome then? Or maybe a fluke accident, dunno if a report has come out.

NihilistCaregiver 15 points ago +15 / -0

I see problem glasses.

TechParadox 15 points ago +15 / -0

From the Daily Mail article about this waste of carbon atoms:

She also admitted in the podcast interview that she found loading blanks into a gun to be 'the scariest' thing because she did not know how to do it and had sought help from her father, legendary gunsmith Thell Reed, to get over the fear.

Seriously? Loading blanks into a gun was scary because she didn't know how to do it? Unless you machined the blanks yourself, exactly what the fuck is there to be afraid of, especially if you've loaded guns before?

It's not rocket science to avoid accidents like this. Baldwin broke every rule of gun safety in the book when he discharged the weapon. This thot broke every rule of gun safety when she didn't double-check the gun before she handed it to him and called that it was a "cold gun". Both of them should be up on manslaughter charges for this, at a minimum.

PostyMcGee 11 points ago +11 / -0

She's cultured though, Van Gogh exhibit, eats spaghetti-o's, has a tongue ring. Honestly don't know if it was incompetence yet. Last article I read they hadn't confirmed what was in the gun, blanks, whatever, so, could be an accident. but from these pictures I suspect, maybe not..

Lurker404 [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

I seriously doubt it was a blank. In one article they reported that it was a single shot that went through one person (killing her) and still hit another.

redguards_are_nwahs 10 points ago +10 / -0

I've been saying this a lot: God damn she's fuck ugly

bamboozler1 4 points ago +4 / -0

Now, yes. Look at the 4Chan thread tho… She really wasn’t always like that. Which is… Unfortunate…

Satanic_Panic_Room 9 points ago +9 / -0

This is just Warwick Davis in drag

MargarineMongoose 8 points ago +8 / -0

Fat and ugly.

Honeypot02 8 points ago +8 / -0

It’s possible this is what you have to do to be allowed to work on Hollywood sets (like she knows if she put up a Gadsden flag and dressed respectfully she’d be refused a job), but realistically that’s probably not what happened. They probably hired someone based on politics instead of more qualified individuals because of “diversity” and now are suffering the consequences.

MagnumLife 7 points ago +7 / -0

Colour me surprised. This is where diversity hiring gets you.

bamboozler1 1 point ago +2 / -1

C’mon, guys… Even 4Chan isn’t being this harsh on her, and is saying this is just scapegoating… I’m not sure what that says about “us”…

And re her appearance, she genuinely used to be hit, before obviously going all lazy and woke-whore-ish…

Again, see the 4Chan thread. Attacking her appearance in this case = not really helping the case…

Lurker404 [S] 10 points ago +10 / -0

Being an Instagram/Twitch/etc thot isn't about appearance. It's about behavior.

It's also pretty damning for the people who hired her. They were desperate for diversity at any cost.

bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I know, I know… And I have people I know who, do exactly this…

I just don’t think it’s entirely appropriate to blame this entire situation on some dumb young girl, as people here are doing, when, as others have pointed out, Baldwin was the one who shot the fucking thing, while seemingly waving it around like a fucking moron… 😑

This deflects blame from the actor AND PRODUCER who is really responsible (in all likelihood), and that is exactly what they WANT to happen - to take the heat off him…

This is a) a tragic accident, due to negligence all round, or b) someone’s malice. I don’t think we can really… Ascribe much blame, to the broader crew, beyond that.

toxicbiofacts 4 points ago +4 / -0

Even 4Chan isn’t being this harsh on her

Implying 4chan isn't full of tradcucks.

bamboozler1 1 point ago +1 / -0
