Holy hell. Every fucking day I lose a bit more respect for teachers. It wasn't THAT long ago that this stuff was unheard of in schools--at least in the sane parts of the country--but now it's a damned plague of perverseness.

...so you're saying that black and brown people regularly steal stuff? Is that really the message you want to put out there?

This is almost as tone deaf as the whole "migrants are trash" headline.

I honestly wonder about the psychology behind that. Do they look at them as novelties or "peak specimens"? It's honestly interesting.

Ehhh....kinda. It had more to do with her not being able to bring herself to kill the prince, which she had to do if she wanted to live and become a mermaid once more. She chose to die instead, which rewarded her with a chance to get into heaven.

Manhattan is basically a cautionary tale about mankind losing its collective humanity due to technology

Huh. Remember when we kept hearing about how schools being closed was meant to keep kids safe? Guess that means that Republicans were the ones trying to keep kids safe.

Not terribly shocking. Ranked voting all but guaranteed a Republican loss, as there were multiple Republican choices.

I wouldn't say horror is dying, you just need to dig for good movies/books. The Color Out of Space is a great horror flick, and The Fisherman is a personal favorite book.

...a mecha game or show inspired by LOTR might be pretty cool actually

I found it very enjoyable and well made. Very brutal and unforgiving but there's just a touch of levity when needed most so it isn't a total slog.

In universe, yes, the events of the ending would contribute to his legend. The problem is that we, the audience, aren't in universe. We can see it through the lens of viewers and it doesn't work the same way for us.
