Once you’ve triggered a person’s foe distinction, it’s almost impossible to reverse it. It doesn’t really matter if time proves you right. They will never get over the negative emotions they felt when you “betrayed” them.
I was hoping with his wife out of the picture (she was far more antagonistic and clearly was the one pushing him around) he would be more willing to associate with wrongthinkers. Looks like I was wrong.
He was a beta bux, and having to come to terms with that is one of the hardest things for Liberal men to do, because it means EVERYTHING he did in life was all for a lie.
Having to come to terms with that and accept that your old life was a sham is oftentimes too hard for indoctrinated people to accept.
There is no need to. If someone doesn't actually want to change it is impossible to help them. You cannot force people to change. That's a universal rule. Doesn't matter if it involves politics or anything else.
No point in wasting your time with it. The only thing you can do is wait until they might become willing to change and then you can always try again to help them.
It doesn't matter what specifically triggered it, either. Once you're tagged as enemy, they will argue that dirt isn't dirty for the rest of their lives if you say it is. It's hard for guys like us who can do second order thinking and have decency in our hearts to accept that kind of thing, or at least it was a lesson that took me a long time to internalize.
American right-wingers really are the best friends someone can wish for. The guy is an obvious and absolute douche, even ignoring politics, yet 95% of comments here are sincerely pitying and concerned for him with no ulterior motive.
That’s because most of the right wingers here have seen what happens to a lifelong leftist first hand. I would argue a good portion are disillusioned former leftists themselves.
das me. I was a center-leftist when GamerGate started, and now I'm a right populist. I haven't hard 180'd on some positions, but I've hard 180'd on quite a few:
anti gun to pro gun
"some speech can be moderated" to "allow all speech as long as it is not direct calls to violence"
Pro abortion to the 90s stance (last resort, do everything in power to keep the baby, give it up for adoption, encourage the mother to realize the baby is an actual human life, stigmatize abortion so people don't see as an easy way out, can ONLY abort within the first trimester, or earlier if possible).
Pro LGBTBBQ to tepid for LGB but make a separate designation for "LGB marriages". Marriages are reserved as a religious privilege and its original purpose is for one man and one woman, period. LGB "marriages" should remain civil unions. Also remove the state incentives that attach marriages and civil unions to tax benefits and other benefits that married couples get. The government should not be involved in what is considered a pillar of religious institution.
T's are a fucking nuisance that needs to be dealt with separately.
Kick out all illegals. Heavily restrict migration and make it more difficult with a vetting process. No criminals with records allowed. NO chain migration. Must swear allegiance to the US Constitution and the Pledge of Allegiance. PREFERENCE FOR WHITE-ONLY countries (i.e. Western Europe). Hard discrimination against Arabs and Mudslims.
From "maybe these minority groups need help" to re-direct funding used for DEI faggotry and welfare to help white males, defund any pro-female programs. Help veterans because ffs everyone keeps fucking ignoring them while they send mostly the white men of the US to war only to return fucked up as hell.
From "we are one race: the human race" to "races are phenotypes, and there are distinct physical differences between the races. Asians are superior IQ wise, but tend to bias towards skinnier, lankier bodytypes. Blacks are stronger bigger, taller, and faster, but the nature of their original environments results in them being low IQ and needing to trust their primal inner ape to survive, which makes them very prone to violence and unable to control their impulses.
yadda yadda yadda. If the me from 10 years ago met the me from now he'd probably flip the fuck out kek
Well it's mostly because the dude is a guy. Most of us are males - don't think we have any women here so it's a literal sausagefest, and we are all sympathetic to the plight of men because of what the tradcon and far left has done to us.
I'm not religious, and I think OP is a better guy than I am to even try it again, and that's commendable he even tried.
It's commendable. I'm just surprised, as many people here always claim "leftists want us dead". And yet (nearly) everyone in this thread is sincerely concerned about a leftist who isn't even one of the more tolerable specimens.
It seems that wokies are nasty people pretending to be nice, and right-wingers are nice people pretending to be nasty.
You've been here for a long time, why are you surprised?
You saw the heat chart right? Conservatives are more likely to care about the things "around" them. Kitchen table issues, community, family, etc. OP felt a sense of duty (or possibly sadness) that he lost a close friend to far left retardation, and hence why he tried.
The reason why conservatives are nasty to leftists is because they're the ones who shot first. Conservatives became nasty as a self-defense response to the leftists who demonized them with their idpol crap. We'd much rather prefer being nice and living our lives but we keep having these fucktards on the left fucking with us.
If you're a leftist and go "what the fuck, that guy who killed Charlie is a giant piece of shit and I'm ashamed he is even on the same side of me" - that shows self-awareness and a potential to realize your follies. I mean, you are well aware conservatives are capable of forgiveness, but only if you admit you're wrong on your beliefs and you have a potential path to redemption.
I forgot who I watched, I think it was someone talking about Bill Maher's meeting with Trump, but his experience with Trump matched what many people's experience with Trump IRL - Maher learned he's a REALLY nice guy. He seems like an asshole in television, but he's the opposite IRL. Most people who voted for him understand what he does on screen is to be a showman and to purposefully piss the left off. But if you talk to him one on one, he will be kind to you.
You've been here for a long time, why are you surprised?
Because I have friends who are on the left, and who aren't nearly as bad as this weirdo (for example, they hate Trump and believe climate change is catastrophic, but they also oppose immigration and they are willing to listen to any opinion that I offer without fearing any response).
But people here assured me "they want you dead" and "they want white people exterminated" etc.
So I got the impression that they thought you shouldn't be friends with anyone who disagrees with you.
The reason why conservatives are nasty to leftists is because they're the ones who shot first. Conservatives became nasty as a self-defense response to the leftists who demonized them with their idpol crap. We'd much rather prefer being nice and living our lives but we keep having these fucktards on the left fucking with us.
I'm all for being nasty when it serves a purpose. Sometimes it's self-defeating. But in some conservative circles, cosplaying as nasty and racist seems to be admired.
I don't think a leftist would have to abandon his views on say health care, because other leftists act terribly. We're all often embarrassed by the people who are on 'our side'. I didn't like how the right came up with 1000 excuses for the attack on Pelosi's husband, like the preposterous suggestion that it was a gay date gone wrong, but that doesn't mean that I have to now support transgenderism.
I think his supporters don't see his nasty side, and opponents don't see his charming and humerous side. I mean, one of the first times I found him really obnoxious is when he started insulting people who wanted the Epstein Files. So I thought: ah, to leftists he must be like this all the time.
The only worrying part is kids often adopt the opposite ideology of their parents as a form of rebellion.
Even if the parents are proper "religious" "far right" people. You will sometimes result in a kid or two or three that will outright reject you, and the more extreme you are, the higher chances the kids are of rejecting you.
It's pretty depressing how the left preys on these kids by offering a kind of salvation from their "abusive" religious parents (and by abusive, they usually mean my parents forced me to not be a lazy piece of shit).
Also, you do have a lot of us who were ex-leftists that escaped this as well. So yes, while you do have predictable outcomes, you have to keep in mind you have people like me, and even fags like Dave Rubin who can be converted back, and often it's because it's a self-realization we figure out because somehow we also were inoculated against that society being mad.
Or perhaps those of us who were able to reverse course already had that ability to stick to our principles, and that ability to not "lose your soul" to the hedonism and dredges of left wing degeneracy is how we were able to resist.
I saw a meme the other day that was a right-winger using an alt account with a burner phone paid for in cash to post a mildly edgy or controversial opinion online. The left-winger uses fullname and the same username on every site and posts hateful shit, and is shocked when it blows back.
If you're going to be degenerate enough to not only browse reddit porn subs but to COMMENT in them, use a fucking alt account you moron. I just don't get it. Who does that?
Someone who's AFK life has utterly atrophied. He has retreated into fantasy and and his new normal is porn subs, and ignoring the growing pile of bills that he can't afford to pay.
He can't go out because he doesn't even have money for gas, let alone anything else.
He doesn't have any friends left, because his wife took them all with the divorce. She will have painted him as a child molester (or something) to everyone she knows to justify her shitty behavior.
Well, a lot of people are also bad at opsec. This isn't a left vs right issue, I think, it's normies vs. people who understand Internet culture and why anonymity is essential. Why do you think so many people get their accounts "hacked"? How many people in this site know not to use the same password everywhere, and to not use the same username everywhere? Can I look up your username and find you all over the place?
There's tons of normie conservatives that use their full name and have their full profile out there available and think sharing their life photos is great because they get to show off how tradcon and Christian-piled they are. You even got idiots like Jordan Peterson saying anonymity needs to be removed because he doesn't fucking understand how the Internet works.
So yeah, I don't think this is a left vs right thing - Being a leftist gives you a bigger leeway, yes, but I do think this is mostly normies being really fucking bad at opsec.
I think you're right. It's amazing to me, but normies gonna normie.
FWIW, I've never used this name before (not even on original KiA/KiA2), and I'll never use it anywhere else. Random passwords, etc. I do my best to avoid personally identifying information, but yeah, if KiA2 got hacked, I could probably get doxed.
Off now to go like and respond to some ethots "Mm, tasty!" / "Wish I had some of that!!"
That's because everyone on the right saw people with similar opinions to their own get cancelled. People on the left didn't see that until recently and not nearly as much.
Mate you at least tried, if you want to commit, send him a consistent email every birthday (if you know his) or some anniversary like the first time you play D&D.
A lot of people in a dark place need a constant reminder that SOMEONE is thinking about them. Unless they block you which signals they're rejecting any help, just be consistent and they'll eventually open up.
Friendly reminder to be cautious with putting information out there that could be used for dox.
Beyond that, how typical--dude moans online about he goes to such great efforts to make and keep friends, and yet when someone else, ypu, actually tries to be a friend to him, he ghosts you. But, he does get to keep wallowing in self pity, so there's that.
It's always amazing to me how people like this never connect the dots in their life choices and outcomes together.
I knew a guy in similar boat, wife went hardcore left, dyked out, left him for other women, took the kids, trooning them as we speak. His fb timeline? All anti Trump, anti men, anti right, etc. Pathetic.
I agree with this, too. I know someone who antagonizes anyone who gets close to her, is incredibly narcissistic, and has zero self reflection. By all accounts she is falling apart, is a financial wreck, has no friends, doesn't go outside, is depressed. If anyone reaches out to her, she thinks they are lonely and talks "at" them for half an hour
There's a good chance he's lying about how bad his situation is and is just fishing for sympathy posts. Leftists treat the online world as their hugbox because they're just that pathetic and effeminate.
Honestly, from my experiences, if the relationship is worth it, I'd send him another message along the lines of:
"I don't know if you're getting this, but I saw your reddit post, and I just want you to know that you can call me up at any time, for any reason. Doors open, no judgement"
My guess is that he's gonna have some deep shame with how things have turned out and he has no idea what to do with himself. If you want to try and set him in the right direction, you can. But you're gonna need a bit of patience and empathy, Mr. Rogers style.
You don't have to, you've got to take care of your own life, family, and friends first.
I have similar people in my D&D group, and similar family members, and we just tend to avoid politics because, truth is, I know they're never gonna do anything stupid and I'd rather help who I can.
Only if people here start harassing him. Honestly, I was hoping some of you who are still on reddit for whatever reason would post some words of encouragement there, telling him to mend bridges with anyone who tries reaching out to him.
You said his account is associated with porn and you haven't described him as the most resilient. I can see a perceived privacy issue even if he wasn't weak-willed. It also sounds like there's some lingering level of hostility toward you, so even if he didn't feel like his privacy was invaded he may still use that as an excuse to one-up you.
I'm not sure what you want. You said in your post you think you can wash your hands of this person, and I think for your own well-being you're probably right. So "us" reaching out to him comes across as a contradiction... we're not your personal army, brother, and posters here speaking to him because you want them to is not washing your hands. I think I understand why you sympathise with him, but he comes across as a leftist in a tailspin still clutching at "owning the chuds." Unfortunately, it sounds like he thinks you're one of them.
Edit: I also want to add that any Reddit posts that would bring up mending old relationships out of the blue would come across as extremely transparent. I think a lot of people would be pretty suspicious of the timing. I feel for you, man.
It was a hail mary, if you don't want to get involved, you don't have to. I just saw this whole this as a tragic case study on how leftistm can force people into prisons, where they'll bite the hand of someone who reaches out to help if it isn't wrapped in a bow of unconditional affirmation. I don't hate him, I'm just very disappointed. But if he changes his mind, yeah I'll talk to him.
I mean even if no-one else interacted with the post and you brought it up, it might still make him defensive. Some of these terminal lefties treat Reddit like their personal diary and knowing the "enemy" has been rifling through their diary would probably put some of them in fight or flight before they even recognize the helping hand being offered. If he's along for Charlie's death, he's almost definitely going to consider you an enemy still.
Plus at this point, after you've already text him to check in, any fresh engagement on that post would be super weird if he isn't retarded. Which, y'know, he might be, but in which case you can probably do better than that in a bro.
He ruined your friendship, he ruined his life, at this point the only thing he seems capable of doing is ruining your day/week/month too if you let him. Entropy rolls ever onwards and some things are just lost forever. But new things are unveiled too, like not needy, disloyal trainwrecks for friends. Look around and offer them your friendship instead. At the very least stick to one who understands bros before hoes better.
The way the leftist cult turns on, betrays, and ultimately destroys everyone who chooses it over their friends and family is very Luciferian. Your turn yourself into a goblin for them and the promised rewards never materialize.
I'm sorry, Covid wiped out his ENTIRE lineage? I fucking got it twice and I'm still here. First time sucked significantly more than the second, but that's irrelevant. Not vaxxed. Ironically, my vaxxed mom is the person that gave the damn thing to me the first time.
Yeah man, there’s no getting our friends back who went in that direction, I wish there was but they got brainwashed by a J’ish mind virus and it’s buried so deeply in their brain’s there’s no possible way for them to examine those views rationally, which is part of how the virus was designed intentionally so anyone who steps out of line is automatically labelled a Nazi no matter how moderate they are. I lost my best friend who I grew up with since ithe 1980’s, we literally grew up together since we were both babies because our parents were super close friends back then, it sucks but it isn’t my fault. Just remember, don’t ever blame yourself, WE are rational Americans, our ancestors would agree with us on every view we have, and if they didn’t, it would be because we aren’t going far enough right to satisfy them. Our ancestors built a highly functional nation from scratch, I put way more faith in their views than progressives and commies, fuck everything about the left, I’ll try to be forgiving if they ever come around but until then, I have no room for tolerating anything they stand for,
You are better off. There usually is no was to reason with them. You could have the best points and they will just say that you must have got that from right wing media. Life is too short to hang around these co**shuckers that leech off of everyone elses work.
Once you’ve triggered a person’s foe distinction, it’s almost impossible to reverse it. It doesn’t really matter if time proves you right. They will never get over the negative emotions they felt when you “betrayed” them.

Never underestimate how simpy beta males are.

Having to come to terms with that and accept that your old life was a sham is oftentimes too hard for indoctrinated people to accept.
Excellent analysis. Happened to me last year with a lib friend exactly how you described.
Even if you apologize or grovel to them, they will still view you as a foe. This is why we cannot reconcile with these people.
There is no need to. If someone doesn't actually want to change it is impossible to help them. You cannot force people to change. That's a universal rule. Doesn't matter if it involves politics or anything else.

Leftism does seem to age very poorly. They're happy being superior but in time their lives seem to break down to horrible levels.
I honestly think he needs help but clearly you can't reach him. He chose reddit "advice" over actual help.

He's in the attention whore stage, so not super close.
He's fully embraced the degenerate faggot leftist lifestyle though
Well, a lot of people are also bad at opsec. This isn't a left vs right issue, I think, it's normies vs. people who understand Internet culture and why anonymity is essential. Yeah. He says Wuhan killed his entire family and a close friend. Press X to doubt.
Mm-hm. The most deadly ender of lives in the leftist playbook. I'd have an easier time buying that all his family members were killed by meteors.
Nah, climate change is the greatest killer according to them
You're right. And the second greatest killer is actually racism (or rather, all isms). Covid is #3.
Sounds like Karma to me. Tell him I'm having a good laugh at his expense. Fuck the left.
Liberals. Leftists. Cultists. They cannot escape the prison of their mind. They cannot be saved.

You don't have to, you've got to take care of your own life, family, and friends first.
I have similar people in my D&D group, and similar family members, and we just tend to avoid politics because, truth is, I know they're never gonna do anything stupid and I'd rather help who I can.
Discussing his Reddit account might make him defensive or feel like his privacy has been violated somehow.
Understood, I hear you.
By the way, Tony made a good point (copied here): "Isn't he worried that this 'friend' of his will connect his username with his real identity?"
Something to think about.
AgnosticTemplar has me blocked, so maybe someone else can ask/warn him.
Isn't he worried that this 'friend' of his will connect his username with his real identity?
Agree that's a potential concern. I commented with that question copied.
You did way more than most. Clear conscience.
He's using blocking /ghosting you to feel better about himself.
You went above and beyond.
Gotta hand it to AgnosticTemplar, he's a very good friend.
Imagine dumping someone who actually wishes you well because the wife who cheats on you didn't like that he pointed out some facts.
The way the leftist cult turns on, betrays, and ultimately destroys everyone who chooses it over their friends and family is very Luciferian. Your turn yourself into a goblin for them and the promised rewards never materialize.
Oh well.
Sucks to suck. I have no sympathy
Probably died with covid. Also, he's 46, so his parents probably were pushing 70.
If someone's absence brings you peace, then you haven't lost anything.
Our ancestors built a highly functional nation from scratch, I put way more faith in their views than progressives and commies, fuck everything about the left, I’ll try to be forgiving if they ever come around but until then, I have no room for tolerating anything they stand for,
He made his affairs public by putting them on reddit himself, you faggot.
You are better off. There usually is no was to reason with them. You could have the best points and they will just say that you must have got that from right wing media. Life is too short to hang around these co**shuckers that leech off of everyone elses work.
They're from California bro. Did you honestly expect them to change their opinion? I mean, good on you for trying.
