I'll start, even though it's more like a rant than an answer.
After boycotting Fortnite over celebrating women's day, I've just been going from game to game through Game Pass, not really finding anything that holds my attention. I tried PUBG, but it doesn't feel the same. I saw F1 22 is coming out, hopefully someone trades theirs in fast so I can get it without funding EA.
I watched State of Play, just to see how the other side of the "console war" lives. What a waste of time that was, a fucking cat simulator? GT7 got three new cars, but none of them are very interesting. Still, it's a little tempting to get a PS4 just to try it.
12 June is Microsoft's Definitely Not E3™ show. Anyone else watching it? I'm expecting FH5's first expansion and Forza Motorsport 2021 2022 2023? to finally get a release date.
God, why do you keep outing yourself as a cringe ass normie? Fucking Edge browsing, Fortnite playing naynay baby.
Well, his whole behaviour is the epitome of "normie". He's basically someone who got red-pilled about the nature of women, and rather than this just being the first step of a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement, which is what many men end up doing when they get red-pilled, he started whining in the expectation that if he told enough people about these "problems", some how these "problems" would be fixed.
It's a classic symptom of the feminisation of society - learned helplessness, refusal to take responsibility, and being unwilling to self-reflect and take charge one's own emotions.
That’s a fantastic insight. I think you’ve summed up MGTOW very well.
I don't need to improve myself. I can already get women.
You're thinking of PUAs.
If you think half the population considering the other half as worthy of being punished purely for existing is not a problem...
Putting the ability to get women as the only metric of value. Thereby treating women's approval as the only thing that matters.
Surprisingly pro-female of you my guy, if that's your only idea of "improving" yourself.
You're telling me the guy who blames women for all the problems in the world doesn't have a single ounce of introspection in his body?
I just knew what he meant.
No you didn't. You just wanted to brag that you could still get women. Because you still put value in their opinion of you and your ability to get them.
My brother in crusade, you are still beholden to their ownership.
Oh come on, everyone who talks about self-improvement is making the same argument.
No they aren't. One of the best self improvement lessons I learned was learning to enjoy your solitude to the point where it is irrelevant if you are alone or not, which was stoked in creating hobbies that often have no value or appreciation from women.
There are in fact things that enrich your soul that women do not love.
I'm actually shocked by this response of yours. I actually thought you understood women enough to realise that "getting women" wasn't a useful criterion for any man to strive for, yet I was mistaken.
Seriously, you should go further down the MGTOW path. You are well and truly stuck in the "red pill rage" stage (no MGTOW further along the path would possibly mistake me saying "self-improvement" for "getting women"). I'm not MGTOW but I understand the importance of the MGTOW principle of not being beholden to women. For all your supposed hatred of women, you will never be free of them until you simply move on.
I know what the person meant. I don't need to recalibrate myself. That's just what I believe they meant.
Your mom doesn't count, Chris.
That was needlessly hostile.
Say the one who blows a gasket at women existing.
If you're going to blame everything wrong on the world on one half of the population, maybe don't base your self-worth on your approve from them.
You telegraphed what you meant so obviously there. You obviously wanted to imply I couldn't get women, so I answered.
XD
Finished the Destroy All Humans remake, nice nostalgia trip. Also finished the current raid tier in FFXIV
Got the itch to play DOTA2 again after nearly 2 years boycotting after they MeToo'd GrandGrant and TobiWan. Watching the pro scene still feels wrong
Also picked Stardew Valley back up, very comfy
Valve backed MeToo? That shouldn't surprise me, but it does somehow.
No, the reddit dota community canceled them. AFAIK there wasn't a call down from Valve, unlike with James/2GD. Was tourney orgs and teams
To be honest it wasn't the teams or orgs, it was a handful of players speaking out, and both casters just backed out essentially instantly. I think they were just super spooked, Grant said literally nothing in defense, Tobi's defense got shit on by reddit + (some) BTS team members so be disappeared right after.
I think it was an absolute shame to lose them both, and put a sour taste in my mouth for any sort of pro scene content for a long while.
Umineko no Naku Koro ni
Patrician taste.
oh there's a fan video of this game that i watched a long time ago . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CflnR50WL0&ab_channel=Ilparazzo
Was that... was that a giant fish impaling a woman?
Started a new Renegade playthrough of Mass Effect 1 with mods. Always feels good going for the Renegade prompt with the corrupt news reporter.
Still playing Dragonball FighterZ.
I also been playing Naruto Shinobi Striker.
Since it was free from Epic store I started borderlands 3, but this time I turned off all of the spoken dialogue and I'm skipping every cutscene.
The gameplay is a lot of fun and the game is highly polished. They did a good job of making the guns from different manufacturers play really differently from each other. It is sad the developer's work was destroyed by garbage, message-pushing writing.
Other than that I'm attempting to learn Unreal Engine.
Well, free is about what that absolute shit is worth.
Planning on applying for a job at Epic?
A significant number of studios use Unreal and prior to Fortnite’s battle royale version being successful licensing unreal engine is what was keeping the lights on at epic
The guy who has been simping for Epic all along on grounds of the faggotry that is Fortnite now takes issue with someone learning a skill because said faggotry included a woman's day event. Yeah, seems on brand.
Until that day, they were the only major Western game company to have not shit out a women's day propaganda post.
Before someone says Valve, they haven't made a game in years.
Fuck celebrating hateful people who have contributed nothing but misery to this world.
But you didn't take issue with the "Rainbow Royale" LGBBQ celebration, the "We the People" BLM extravaganza or any number of endorsements of leftist ideology targeted directly at a disproportionately juvenile audience? No, it was women's day that was a bridge too far.
I actually have to ask whether or not you're referring to half of the global population. Ignoring the continued existence of our species, and the fact that even you have likely had enough positive interactions with women to invalidate such absolutes, answer me this. Has BLM contributed something other than misery to this world? What will the LGBT...'s lasting legacy be?
You're entitled to your opinions; But shitting on someone for learning a skill and developing a hobby that might actually make a positive contribution, however small, to an industry most of us care about is a bad look, even for you.
Those were optional. You didn't have to partake. The Rainbow Royale was to appease staff after Epic refused to deplatform a kid's support a creator code for tweeting shit against gays, and the BLM thing was because the employees were threatening to unionize if they didn't, which they already delayed the new season twice for. If you check their website for past events, it's not even listed at all.
Having a giant fucking monument to women in the sky in game was too much for me. It's an insult to all the male players who kept the fucking lights on at Epic HQ when Fortnite was just another free to play throwaway game. They got too big and forgot that when the game had nothing, it was male content creators, male players that kept it from ending up as dead as H1Z1. I never even heard a woman's voice in squads until after Season X, 3 years after the game came out. They jumped on the bandwagon when it was the most popular thing in the world and get treated like they did a service to Epic for doing it, when in reality, their involvement is starting the slow death. I'm just waiting for Collision Course to happen (today? I haven't played. Don't know when it is. I got a message from a friend asking me to play it with them, but I'm fucking done.) , I bet they change the entire plot of the season events to make women the heroes instead of the villains.
It's difficult to communicate how I feel, as a Day 1 player, without breaking R16. I'd rather see the Chinese flag flying from every building like people kept joking would happen because of Tencent than a giant pink fuck you in the sky from the people who turned everything I grew up with into feminist propaganda, the people who constantly act to dehumanize me and who will not let me have anything without their fucking cult leeching in.
I wonder how many friends I've lost because of cutting down my hobbies to not fund their genocidal march.
And who leads it again? All roads lead back to the More Feminine Way.
The importance of shutting down your organizations after you achieve your goals rather than leaving them dormant and ending up letting lesbian women use them to push their castration fetish.
I'm not. I just asked if he wanted to work for Epic.
Neverwinter Nights EE. 3e rules, and the Waterdeep server is decidedly non-woke. Very challenging to stay alive so you have to form a group, but worth it.
I used to love NWN 1 and 2. Probably the best combat system of any RPG and the ridiculous amount of great mods was amazing. Gotta be two of my most played games ever.
Never touched the new EE stuff though because Beamdog seems to be woke.
Beamdog are indeed woke, but crucially, they updated and expanded the functions of the editor. The NWN modding community is almost as active as the Doom modding community, and in regards to multiplayer, I would say it is easily twice as active as Doom. Really impressive for a 20 year old game.
Is NWN:EE worth getting? I owned NWN back in the day but never played it much.
I did play a good bit of BG/BG2/ToB and own the EEs as well.
Kind of in between games. I've been playing a few games lately but they all fizzled out.
Starbound: it's 2D No Man's Sky. Pretty fun with a lot of variety but it does get a bit repetitive if you've already played a bunch of these types of building/mining/crafting/survival games, which I have.
Vaporum: An RPG like Legend of Grimrock. Fun at first but gets a bit reptitive.
Far Cry 4: Meh. Looks still nice but the writing is absolutely atrocious and despite its age it's full of woke bits and pieces. I'm about 2/3 through the game but lost interest because I couldn't stand the unskippable cutscenes anymore. Bonus points for kinda being able to side with the bad guy who's the only remotely likable character (which ends the game in 20 minutes unfortunately).
Got a bunch of games which I'm planning on trying next (Creeper World 4, Graveyard Keeper, Mordheim and Mutant Year Zero).
Went back and started playing Victoria 2 because the wait for Vicky 3 is tearing me up.
Other than that, I have been playing some Snowrunner (since that is a usual backup).
I have started playing through Cyberpunk 2077. Having played it a little at release (on PC) and playing it now, it has been improved significantly from what I remember. I will absolutely not miss it feeling like I was driving on ice skates, and weapons actually feel like they have some punch behind them now unless an enemy is super overleveled compared to you.
I have also been playing Mechwarrior Online with my buddies. We usually have a pretty well coordinated Lance, and how well we do usually depends on our own team. I am the heavy in the Lance, with my mains being Thunderbolt that I retuned for close range (SRM's instead of LRM's, extra armor, swapped out to HMG's on the arm), a Jagermech I have dubbed "The Pom-Pom" (gave it quad AC2s, and used the saved weight to give it extra ammo, armor, and an AMS system), a Battlemaster also retuned for close range, and if we are running heavy and its my turn to play ankle-bitter patrol, a Shadow Hawk that has been heavily customized (Rotary AC5, an extra M Laser, an AMS system, and maxed out armor, after very expensive upgrade to the engine and chassis cut down a lot of weight).
EDIT: also, if anyone is a fellow Vicky player, I am all ears for what would be the best mods for it. Because I never really played it modded but I hear it is a massive improvement over vanilla Vicky 2.
Been revisiting Dragons Dogma.
For those not familiar with it, it's a western-themed action RPG, directed by the guy who directed the (majority of the) Devil May Cry franchise. Capcom cut the budget mid-production, and a sizeable portion of the game was left on the cutting room floor resulting in a pretty shaky launch.
Despite that, it has a strong cult following and tried a number of really interesting things. A ton of rather unique mechanics and little subtleties. Prior to Elden Ring, it probably has the best combat in an open world game IMO.
V Rising & Old World are my latest purchases. V rising has some potential for multiplayer, though, so I'm waiting on actually playing it. Old world is basically "what if your immortal civ leader was a dynasty instead?" so it borrows from CK3.
Speaking of which, CK3's Battle for Iberia just dropped, (the last piece of the Royal Edition I bought a long time ago.) I've been having a blast being a Viking interloper, ruining the lives of Andalusians and Asturians alike.
There's also a modded minecraft world I've been fiddling with-- but that's on life support. Can't maintain interest in it.
Isn't the company that makes CK3 woke?
CK3 itself is woke. CK3 took out 'Deus Vult' because they hate the IRL people who say it. CK3 added in same sex marriages to the middle ages. CK3 was made by such cucks that they launched the game where more than half of children popped out were from cuckoldry and thought it was fine.
Paradox? They're Swedish. You have to vet them project by project on that front.
They earned a reprieve by axing the Bloodlines 2 team, but they're still questionable-- even to me, with my raging Grand Strategy boner making me less hesitant.
If anything, leaving Paradox alone on principle because of their DLC policy would make sense, but I'm hardly rational about my map staring games.
I couldn't do something like that, I have to boycott every company that crosses me and never waver, otherwise I feel like complete shit.
Maybe I take it too far, but honestly, I'd probably feel worse if I didn't...like a traitor to my own cause.
That game still exists? I swear it was cancelled. Maybe I'm going crazy.
What's so bad about their DLC policy? It's not my kind of game so I don't follow it.
Paradox DLC is basically as monetized as you get without microtransactions.
Their current model is to launch a game, and then ~7-10 20 buck DLCs, with supporting 7 buck content packs that are associated with them, and 10 buck 'flavor packs' that bridge between the major DLCs-- all of which launch in parallel with a free patch that supports the system changes in the DLC.
It's cancer, but it funds their studio's continuous development.
You get things like this: CK II.
The game itself is free, but the 'full experience' will run you 300 dollars, and buying in after the game has launched requires a strategy guide for which DLC you need to buy and which are optional.
That's confusing just to think about. EA would be proud of that level of mindfuckery to get extra money.
Can't imagine there's many new players then, really.
I started with Trails in the Sky, gone through all of the first and most of the second. Despite the total look of the game I gave it a shot. For whatever unexplained reason I'll get hooked on it for hours at a time. I'll probably start Cold Steel series later this year, they are much more modern in presentation. There's something about Falcom games that I've gotten in to in that they are like comfort food for me, they aren't necessarily lookers but I always have fun.
If you end up liking Trails, you might try one of the newer Ys games, very under-appreciated series. I never know with a From Software fan though, they are much more button spam hack and slash than the slower Souls combat.
I only played Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but its probably one of the best battle systems I've seen in a JRPG in a long time. Sans the Gacha and some instances of voice acting its overall really solid.
Its in that pit with FFX2 where they hide some of the best gameplay possible in a game a lot of people might cringe over otherwise. Well worth playing after the original, which I'm told is also fantastic.
Trails of Cold Steel is a guilty pleasure of mine. Typical anime romp with a fun battle system and a story where you have to suspend your disbelief and not think about too much. The characters are really the draw, although by the end of the fourth game there are a laughable number of characters that you're expected to remember and care about. I remember one scene where they're all lined up on the bridge of a ship and I actually burst out laughing at how many of them there were.
Loving Elden Ring - I made it to the capital city. Leyendale? Something like that. Still trying to find the next bonfire in there heh.
I just keep playing Vampire Survivors, which is proof of how easy it is to make a fun game, even if you have to steal sprites to do it. Best 3$ I've spent in a while.
Forza Horizon 5 a lot in the last week. I planned to skip it, but I've been playing it with a cousin who lives in another state and I put building family relationships over political disgruntlement with a game. He's still a kid too so it's more about having fun and being a good influence over pushing politics like the other side does. I still have Xbox and game pass paid up, so not like it cost me anything either. I actually like it more than I expected though, particularly the Mexico scenery and don't feel like I'm constantly being asked to buy a DLC (yet).
Otherwise, Persona 5 Strikers, Ys VII, and SMT III mostly. But less so in the last few weeks as I haven't been home as much.
Potato Flowers in Full Bloom

I'm going to try V Rising, otherwise I'm actively looking for a good game to play.
You have to pick your poison and as I already use Microsoft everything else, it's pretty obvious for me.
The only two games I've played over the past 8 years are tagpro.gg and agar.io
Tagpro is legit the best game of all time, the community moderators are complete faggots, but it's only got a couple hundred active.players, and is the best game of all time. I get banned pretty often because i call them niggers and faggots, and when i do, i Play agario with the username nigger.
No Man's Sky's latest expedition is fun and frustrating as fuck in equal measure. Kept me entertained for a while.
Emulating Demons Souls (PS3) on my PC.
Also playing modded matches of Killing Floor 2. It's not as good as Killing Floor 1, all those 100 player matches and Resident Evil mansion mods were legendary. KF2 is still decent though.
Neverwinter Nights EE. 3e DnD rules, and a plethora of servers out there. Recommend the Waterdeep server. Its decidedly non-woke and while difficult, still has great role play elements.
https://discord.gg/cbkjKfB2
I haven't played any new games recently. I'm currently playing Gothic2, in preparation for The Chronicles of Myrtana, hopefully that is not woke as it came out last year. I think I'll play Destroy all humans next.
World of Warships.
One of the most freemium games out there. Apparently they don't want my money because they don't let you buy Optimus Prime as a captain anymore.
On the 360: Halo 2 eh, it's okay;
On the DSi: SM64 eh, it's okay, definitely overrated;
On the PC: same as always, TF2, AoE 3, occasionally some Rust or BF4
Mostly been Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Even with a more powerful PC, it still crashes occasionally. And despite the ham-fisted and poorly thought out "muh BLM analogy" narrative, the gameplay is actually pretty decent. Hopefully Embracer does something with the IP and it isn't terrible (but it probably will be).
Other than that, been playing a bit of Nimbatus for something a bit more chill. Dipped into a couple games of They Are Billions, but haven't really gone back at the moment. And finished Eiyuden Chronicles Rising about 2 weeks ago (long review short: It wasn't terrible, but there are serious flaws. It's also practically Fetch Quest The Game, since that's what all quests are, including the main story quests).
I recently finished Dark Souls for the second time after I cleared it for the first time almost a decade ago. The gameplay holds up, but the performance issues were annoying (Blighttown).
I play Valorant because it's the only game I can consistently play with my RL friends. Since I am pretty good at the game, I can fool around with meme strats and throw shit at randoms.
On the weekends I've been playing Brutal King Rance (鬼畜王ランス) and Beat Blades Haruka (超昂閃忍ハルカ) in Japanese to mine sentences and acquire new words. Brutal King Rance is incredibly fun and has some very amusing side stories. Beat Blades Haruka is not nearly as fun and is too centered on the sex scenes which is somewhat off-putting. On the plus side, I get to listen to 風音様's sweet, sweet voice, which outweighs any issues I have with the game.
I know it's unpopular to suggest it, but Star Citizen. For $45 bucks that game is immensely addictive. I've already found myself absolutely hooked.
There is no player character scaling here, you just have to literally learn to get good, and at anything. There is no hand-holding here and everything in the game is either physicalized or becoming physicalized (including the process of manually having to load all the cargo onto your ship yourself).
I mostly stick with bounty hunting because it's easy'ish with my HOSAS setup, but even then the learning curve is steep given that the physics change depending on the atmosphere of the planet (or if you're in space).
Everything has a massively steep learning curve, from mining and cargo hauls, to dogfighting and bounty tracking.
Also a lot of the non-noob missions can involve other players, either teaming up or working against you. Like one mission might have you acquiring an item from a crash site before others get to the crash site, and an NPC might task you with returning the item to them, meanwhile a rival NPC might put out a call for players to acquire the same item and bring it to them instead. So there's an emergent PVP element involved with some the tasks.
I think one of the most useless things in the game right now is probably being a space pirate, just because of the amount of work and skill required to be a successful pirate. You also need a crew with you because you can't really vandalize/steal ships by yourself. You need one ship that's designed specifically to neutralize other ships, but you'll need a separate dropship for boarding (if you have multiple people in your party).
I'm still just learning the basics, but man is it addictive. If you like true-blue sim-sims, Star Citizen is definitely worth checking out.
Recently put down World of Final Fantasy. Was interesting enough, as the design is very similar to pokemon. Serious attempts to fix Pokemon's combat system are rare.
Slowly going through the challenges in Defense Grid while I think about what game to play next. Still feeling like too much of a retard to get serious with Baba Is You.
Penguin Wars for the game boy. It was a simpler time, but those classics are timeless today.
That's what did it for you? Aight.
Anyway, I've always enjoyed tactics, and recently I've been playing Rebel Cops, as well as Othercide. Gonna throw in some Surviving the Aftermath as well.
I have pretty obvious red lines.
I finished the new Kirby game. It was fun.
Borderlands 2
