Is it just "boomercon" politics that does that? I see similar issues with politics in general. Like the rural/urban cultural split, but rural areas are expected to obey laws put forward by urbanites. Also more obviously, legislation pushed forward by lunatics that's intended to manipulate sane humans. There's always a message that it's for everyone's own good, but it rarely is.

lmao who would do this to their child. "Isreal is my middle name". Probably grew up with a lawyer on speed dial.

Videos featuring actual gameplay. Just kidding, no one does that anymore, so I don't bother watching these things.

Not asking it to explicitly list all the basic human rights so you can dismantle most of its future arguments? Would probably give an interesting answer since most people can't answer it.

I remember the crocodile being a metaphor for Captain Hook's fear of death, so I don't really think it fits because the children (who should be the ones afraid of trannies) aren't that scared of it.

Besides, the fairies make perfect trannies because they literally die if you say you don't believe in them. (but the process can be countered with enough affirmations, just like how trannies can avoid suicide by feeding off of e-support)

Jesus, Gravitas was involved? I learned pretty fast that anything with their name attached is hot garbage.

The other .win communities don't even load for me because I'm using an old browser. For some reason, tech support was only granted here, so I can't even check on the others.

Missing context: japanese men were happy about it because it meant they can relax a little from not needing to worry about false allegations. What they would really like is men-only sections, but it'd be "sexist" to ask for that.

The problem would be better solved by criminalizing false and frivolous charges.

"stfu and gbtw" is basically "pull yourself up by the bootstraps". There's not a lot to say here. Some people don't have the internal reference to understand that there are problems you can't solve that way. There's no point explaining it, you can't give someone that internal reference with words.

Congratulations, you are not taking the words of e-celebs at face value.

Wasn't he a furry..? Or maybe he just worked with furries. Can't remember the details, but it wouldn't be much of a surprise to promote faggotry from there.

We already have training for voting. It is public school. Which now also features some training on how to have gay sex safely.

Pointless for me, I own the original. Never had a desire for any changes in it, so the promise of changes only serves to repulse me. Played through it like 10 times, good game. I hated the QTE stuff at first, but I quickly realized it made the game funnier.

This isn't nostalgia though. Nostalgia is a feeling and the only feeling informing me here is satisfaction based on existing media and its identifiable merits. I do wish "nostalgia" wasn't thrown around so much. If you only like something because of nostalgia, it implies you are focusing on past memories when you enjoy it, rather than it having any qualities you can enjoy on their own.

You bring up a good point. Personally, I would put the line at taking all that hormone shit. This is because stuff like gender dysphoria is a real treatable condition. It's kinda nutty, sure, but all that's needed is for that therapist to be trying to help them not have gender dysphoria anymore. Telling them it's okay to transition is just awful and I would like to see all such therapists fired if they are harming their patients like that.

A lot of these troons become crazy and terrible, but I think most of them were just confused and could have been saved. So I do pity who they once were.

Like no shit you're fucking depressed, your life sucks. Stop treating the warning sign your body is giving you to get it together and instead just fucking get it together.

Would you say that such people require some philosophy?

I wasn't all that different in the past. What really helped me turn some things around (not that my life is great right now) was adding philosophy to all the psychology and talk therapy.

I tell kids now, when I see them struggling with depression, that it's basically just a signal that they are failing to move towards their life goals and deep personal values. They act a little surprised sometimes, because kids don't even know their life goals. So I try to explain that they wouldn't be able to have that depression if there wasn't something they really wanted and were failing to move towards. Like depression is some conscious sequence - no, it starts in the dark with all the things you weren't paying attention to.

Of course, there's some crap philosophies out there, so I try to push the core of logic and introspection.

I think I remember you speaking about how psychology and therapy were geared towards women. Perhaps it excludes philosophy because women aren't exactly deep thinkers.

You shouldn't pay a person for something if a different person would be fine providing the same thing for free.

Become a Prompt Engineer today!

No...please no. I have already seen people on art sites acting like this is a real artistic skill. Now they're going to get paid? They're insufferable already and giving them money will add to the ego inflation.

They would chuckle and shake their heads because they know you weren't enlightened by the 20,000 dollar powerpoint slideshow they paid for a few years ago, which explained how important the untapped market of lgbt gamers is.

I don't see any benefit in believing Jesus was ugly. I'm not even gonna address ethnicity. I don't like ugly people, how about that?

Alright, I'll take your word for it, but I just can't get into some of the matches I've seen in the past few years. I miss 90s wrestling, they weren't so scared of doing dumb dangerous stuff in the ring.
