They basically did a speedrun of modernity. After the Korean war, they industrialized, moved most of the population to the capital and began to immediately adopt whatever the western elites were into like feminism, satanism, living in a pod, antinatalism, etc.

At this point, it's the country with the lowest Total Fertility Rate, the "developed" country with the highest suicide rate, the country with the craziest feminists.

South Korea is like an experiment jammed into a hyperbolic time chamber.

I've been replaying XCOM for the past few weeks after getting all the achievements in Ready or Not. Still a great game with bullshit moments.

I'm glad you're enjoying newer games, tbh.

Lmao nijiniggers get fucked yet again. The funniest thing about this was the futile attempt at fighting back by the Nijisanji Defense Force staffed with JP simps, who have no clue how to deal with terminally online westerners. JP Twitter users are like 3 tech levels below westerners when it comes to pointless internet discussions.

There's more than 30 years worth of Japanese videogames to play, and the older titles have their own charm. If you're looking for untainted new stuff, many eroge makers are still releasing games that have avoided lolcowlizers and ESG. I don't know if that will last for long as the industry has been in decline for over a decade, but it has enough soul for its heart to keep beating.

I've been learning Japanese on my own for 5 years while working full-time and I just passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2 with a great score. So speaking from experience, it's both worth it and doable.

I began to play some games in Japanese when I was like 1 year in, and I started to really enjoy them after struggling for a year or so. Now I'm at a level where I can pick up any Japanese game, manga or anime and enjoy it without much trouble.

If you decide to start learning, you are in luck, as the greatest apps, sources, books, etc. are all in English, and since you know Spanish the pronunciation side of things is going to be a lot easier.

In case you're interested, watch this video. Let me know if you want to know about the specific things I did, as everyone goes through a different journey with unique tools that may just work for you.

Thank you for the new word. I will use Chinkansen from now on. Not that China will last another 15 years, though.

The bottom set seems to be from a completely different video. The text has no relation to what the characters are saying.

The ones at the top are pretty accurate, though.

The PS5 has no exclusives, though. All the games are remakes, HD ports, etc. They all get ported to PC after a while, anyways. There is absolutely no reason to buy one.

It's not a spinoff, behind the 戦国ランス title it says Rance VII. The only ones you could consider to be Rance spinoffs would be Brutal King Rance, another fantastic game, and Slash Thrust Burn, which does not even feature him.

LEAST likeable or moral protagonist

I can agree with the least moral part, but I don't think he's unlikeable. Especially in Sengoku. He's a lot more brutal in other games.

As for the recommendation itself, I endorse it. It's in my top 10 games ever and one of the best strategy games I have ever played.

It's literally Fallout 4 + space + even more ZOG influence.

Never heard of transmaxxing? Low status, damaged, retarded males figured out that they can get attention and validation if they troon out. It's the modern version of a Faustian bargain.

Rance, hands down. Uses his party members as meat shields, sends people on suicide missions or as hostages, pushes allies off cliffs, sneak attacks bosses, lies in order to sleep with women, rapes women while they're tied up instead of rescuing them, personally tortures people in order to gain information, abuses his authority whenever he gets to a position of power, uses voice changers and blindfolds to cuck other men, kills people that get in his way or looked at him funny, publicly rapes women in order to humiliate their allies, among other heinous acts.

On the good side, he literally saves the world, he's always there to protect his women, he kills rapists, child abusers, gays, and uglies, he's ripped with Olympic-tier athletic abilities, he pulls the women around him out of depression, he likes to preserve the innocence of young girls, and he's also surprisingly delicate when dealing with abused women.

These lists are not exhaustive, with more than 30 years of history he's had a long career. I once read a rumor that said that popularity polls in adult game mags had to be changed to exclude male characters because he would win 1st place every time otherwise.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about that. You could send all the essential NPCs to a single settlement, never open new ones, and kill all the randos.

General: F4SE, Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch, AWKCR, Achievement Enabler

Gameplay: Scrap Everything, Real throwing weapons

Visual: Darker nights, True Storms, Vivid Fallout

UI: Looks Menu, MCM, Valdacils Item Sorting, Full Dialogue Interface

The core gameplay loop is not that bad, just don't go in expecting old school Fallout.

I remember playing it on the Xbox 360 and then on the PS3. It's not as smooth on the Xbox because of the pressure-sensitive controls, just as you say, but you can play it alright, I cleared MGS2 several times on both consoles. Some say the Xbox 360 version is better because of the graphics, but the PS controls feel better.

I finished Super Metroid a week ago and I loved it. I've been a fan of the Metroid series since Metroid Prime 2 came out almost 20 years ago, and I now understand why this one was so influential. The gameplay and the bosses were great, and the soundtrack was sublime. I'm embarrassed to say that I just found out that my favorite tracks from Metroid Prime were remixes. I just started playing Metroid: Zero Mission, because I don't feel like re-playing the original Metroid, that one was way too tedious the first time.

I also started playing Fallout 4 for the second time. I played it the first time back when it came out on the Xbox, but I found it so boring and ugly that I dropped it halfway. Now that I have a nice computer, I added all the mods I wanted to make it a little bit better. It's still a shitty game when compared to all the other Fallouts, but since it was a gift, I might as well show some appreciation.

On the spicy side of things, I'm currently "playing" through Amakano [アマカノ], which I bought because my favorite VA has one of the main roles, and the other VAs are quite likable. I actually find it quite boring, since it's just a Visual Novel with no real gameplay, but it's good Japanese practice. It's just a lovey-dovey story in a winter town designed to melt your heart.

The other one I'm playing through is Rance IX: The Helman Revolution. Unlike the other entries in the series, this one is a tactical RPG and a lot more linear. If one plays through Mamatoto (1999), one can see all the similarities in the story and the gameplay. The gameplay itself is pretty easy for an experienced gamer like me, and the story so far is decent. The best girls get a ton of scenes and a fair amount of development. The true best girl (Rance) is a bit softer this time, and the most awful shit is optional and you get a warning, which I like as I really don't want to see my girls get gangraped, tortured, killed, etc. I'm playing it in Japanese, just like all the others, because I refuse to give attention or money to the tranny localizers in charge of most translations. Besides, St*iner is a faggot and he can go fuck himself.

Rance 02 is more of a remaster than a remake, meaning that the puzzles and the gameplay are quite dated. There’s no new content other than the BGM. Don’t skip it, because a ton of recurring characters get introduced in it. If you get stuck, look at a walkthrough, the game isn’t long at all when compared to the third one.

I’ll look into Full Metal Daemon. I prefer actual games over VNs, but if the story is good I’ll buy it (after trying it out, of course 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️).

As for Sekiro, thanks for the tip. I noticed that relying on one thing like blocking or dodging would get me nowhere, but I hadn’t seen the perks of being so aggressive.

I just upgraded my computer, now I can play some of the newer games. I was on 10 year old hardware, and I was starting to get tired of all the shitty graphics. Along with the new parts I bought Elden Ring, Sekiro, Ready or Not, Killer7 and the Yakuza trilogy.

Throughout the whole year I've been playing through the Rance Series to improve my Japanese. 03, 4, 4.1, 4.2, Kichikuou, 5D, 6, Sengoku and finally Quest. Kichikuou Rance and Sengoku Rance were supremely enjoyable, mainly because I'm weak against strategy games, but I also love me some keks and it is one of the funniest series I have ever played, and I now understand why Sengoku is considered a "God Game". Rance 03 and 6 were pretty enjoyable as RPGs, and I'm still playing through Quest. 5D is one of the weirdest games ever. My Japanese skills now let me read even novels, and I cannot thank these games enough. A warning to those wanting to play them: You must have a really strong stomach for some games, Sengoku in particular.

Other hehoge I played were Beat Blades Haruka (Way too stimulating for me, I cannot play that shit), Toushin Toshi (Pretty fun for a 30 year old game, too bad it runs like dogshit) and Mamatoto (The gameplay and the hero's scenes were good, the villain is really interesting).

I finally finished Dark Souls, my personal game of the year. I also played Dark Souls II, my disappointment of the year, which was a pain in the ass due to the artificial difficulty. I didn't actually finish it because I thought it had cloud saves, but I discovered that it didn’t after formatting my hard drive. I was like 80% in, and I refuse to go through that slog again. I recently started Sekiro, all in Japanese, and I like it so far.

As for multiplayer games, Valorant and COD: Warzone 2 were the main ones. I've been playing Valorant less time each session because I only play it with my friends, and the sweatier ones don't play as much as before. We win a lot on Warzone 2, so it's still fun. I played Lost Ark for a couple weeks, but gave up because I don't have time to grind through such a boring game, I feel like my friend scammed me when I downloaded that garbage. We also played Fall Guys, Ready or Not, and Project Winter.

I also have a message for those who play Japanese games: Remember that you are getting an inferior product 90% of the time if you play the translated versions. It's never too late to start learning the moonrunes, but the sooner the better. Globohomo is putting a ton of pressure on the far east, and I fear they will crack within the next 10 years.

Happy New Year to all!

I agree, but the sentence is referring to the output of the facility. Is it no longer an energy storage system if you don’t mention the capacity? If I say I have a 5 kW battery, and I am referring to its power, is my sentence incorrect?
