This whole thing is rooted in the No Child Left Behind act bullshit. Schools became about getting standardized tests scores high rather than making sure students learned stuff, when students couldn't pass they just lowered the bars, when shitty students failed they just passed them anyway to keep the 'graduation rate' high.
Parents wealthy enough to move to a better district or to homeschool their kid meant less money for the school district, making it harder for any kid who actually wanted to learn, which led to more students leaving. Since the vast majority of families that could afford to do this were white, this got branded as White Flight.
Instead of course-correcting the rot NCLB has done, they've decided the reason kids aren't thriving is racism. Kids have no discipline at school, and of course their parents don't give a crap either and think it's the school's job to raise their kids.
AMC's "The Walking Dead"
They're Walkers, not zombies. I can't believe the stupid avoidance of the word "zombie" is actually beneficial here. She can't call 95% of pop culture zombies as such because they aren't called zombies they're the Infected or Reanimated or some other term.
the sorcerer-for-hire who practices the Vodou faith for both good and evil, depending on client request – must keep them away from the elements that would restore their humanity: salted food, drink, the sight of their home as they're being marched from their grave or tomb.
I had a bit of a laugh with this because home, beer, and pizza is enough to restore anyone's humanity.
Whether it's Sweet Baby Inc. themselves or the companies that hired them, nobody is stepping forward to clarify exactly what SBI got hired for, what their input was, and what changes the game companies made if any. And for good reasons because there are a few possibilities we are looking at, with more than one possibly being true:
-
Sweet Baby Inc. is afraid of people finding out that their grift is making shitty changes to games.
-
Sweet Baby Inc. is afraid of people finding out that their grift is making almost no changes and they get paid to do very little work.
-
The game companies are afraid of people finding out because then it will reveal just how deep the rot is in gaming companies already before Sweet Baby Inc. gets their stinky diaper-encrusted fingers all over the game.
Currently game journalists and some game devs are attempting to double down on defending Sweet Baby Inc. but considering how both the curator group and the harassment campaign against it have brought massive amounts of attention to it, it's possible that game companies might try to throw Sweet Baby Inc. under the bus, or at least distance themselves. The curator group will probably his 250k followers by tomorrow, the news has spread throughout all the reactionary channels on Youtube, etc.
Whipping out hit piece articles might not be enough. Don't be surprised if the usual suspects try to slither away and start a new company under another name and try it all over again. Without transparency, we are left to speculate just to what degree has Sweet Baby Inc. changed games. It's like someone caught red-handed but he's stubbornly keeping his hands behind his back and hoping that we spontaneously forget that we are looking into the face of a criminal.
Fuck. Looks like complications of a head injury? What a shame. He's a legend for anime and manga. Not to mention his character designs for the Dragon Quest franchise.
Sand Land, another game that uses his character designs, is coming out next month.
Fallout 3 is fine and all but its main story is pretty weak. And without getting into spoilers, the ending involves some bullshit because development schedule was so crunched for time that they weren't able to take into account certain companions you might have access to. And originally the player was railroaded into a bullshit ending until the DLC fixed it.
I would recommend playing it before New Vegas.
And some others might be able to clarify but apparently Fallout 3 does not gel well with the lore setup that 1+2 provide. 3 was the first game made by Bethesda after the original developers.
They "finished" it with like Season 10, and it's a good stopping spot. But then GOTTA MAKE MORE and they turned it into a zombie. So it's officially never ended but there is a noticeable point where it was meant to end and you can stop there and ignore what comes after.
Fuck, Blowey Zoey works for SWI too?
I know she'd written a game (Solar Ash) but I haven't been keeping tabs on her. She laid low after her #MeToo attempt backfired and Alec Holowka committed suicide from her harassment.
Indian men are some of the rapiest on the planet and there's a good reason why not even Indian women want to be involved with an Indian man if they're not being forced into marriage by their parents. If all tourist dried up in India due to the animals unable to control themselves, the Indian government would be forced to do something but since tourism won't stop there is no incentive to care.
I would be interested in finding out exactly who was fired.
Because it's one thing to lose obvious dead weight, but it's another thing when your company is making cushy profits and you still decide bam 1 in 20 people are now fired. Could also be some shareholder bullshit since this is EA we're talking about.
It's frustrating because sometimes there is nuance to language that doesn't have a direct 1:1 translation, or to convey the same meaning you need to change it or else the audience isn't going to understand.
But modern localists use this as springboard to justify their adlibs and fanfiction they are inserting into what is otherwise perfectly fine dialogue, so fuck.
One might argue that it's necessary to have a human appointed for translation and localization, but they have burned through all good will and gone mask off on how SPITEFUL they are about the projects handed to them.
Yeah who is that streamer that publicly said he never wanted to work with a female co-streamer? Ninja? Because it's just way too much of a liability.
Like it or not, Taylor Swift is a billionaire and an insanely popular music star. That means a lot of people could potentially stalk her/her boyfriend, either as a mad fan or someone who just wants to stir shit up. Even if you're rich, you don't want to deal with some sexual scandal and/or a lawsuit.
