This seems to be a common thought. It's wrong, but I think he believes it. I'm not even sure there was any Nuremburg defendants who were tortured. None of the higher echelon ones were tortured, for sure. We have their statements, and their physical health in public as testaments to that. Not to mention there were a number of acquittals for people whom were clearly not involved in any of the charges, whether Holocaust related or starting-the-war related.
