Even with all the training, parts, and encouragement in the world, Empire of Dust proved that Africans are entirely incapable of maintenance as an idea. It's an abstract concept beyond their ken. If they cannot properly conceive of the future as a direction to move towards with an end-state they want to acheive, then keeping a machine from breaking down makes no more sense than keeping a mountain from eroding, or a river from flowing.
-BEEP- I'm not sure ab-BEEP-out that. I don't think they'll do mai-BEEP-ntenance on something if it only takes minutes -BEEP- and could save their -BEEP- life.
Obviously, but given 100 wells, someone traveling to all of them, fixing them, in a matter of days/weeks and then reporting back, not exactly a big issue. Additionally the locals should be maintaining them, and do it gratefully rather than complaining. Reminds me of people asking me to fix their PC, only to blame me for the next issue, even if it happens over a year later.
a well doesn't break in a year. let's see it after 10, or 20.
you know, living in one of the poorer countries that still makes up a non-developing western countries (Romania), it really makes me sick seeing these nigger lovers spend dozens of millions on a bunch of tribals who won't even appreciate it. you guys seen that pic of him with all the niggers behind him? a few look like they want to murder him literally just as he's finished installing a well for them.
Most here are unhappy that Mr Beast is doing propaganda for likely useless African charity, but it is important to note that the initial claim that the wells failed was a bust and just a couple of people wishcasting on a podcast, which was then boosted by social media.
The news cycle moves really fast these days, but we should try not to repeat hearsay.
This is an excellent point to consider, but it begs the “yet” argument.
It’s like if I told my kid to not jump off living room furniture because he might sprain or break something. He then says “it didn’t happen the last time I did it.” But we both know it will happen given enough chances.
Africans do not do this. Me. Beast will have to send somebody forever.
He did it to make money from his brand. Also personal charity is a Christian value. Do you have an issue with that or do you think his money belongs to you or the government
Sorry that i don't support White idiots sending money to Africa just to virtue signal, when there's so much problems back home in the West as it is(why isn't he helping people in his own country?) , just so Africans will have a population boom and then those same Africans will end up moving to the West.
You are the one who is an idiot if you don't see what the problems with this is. Or you're just a subverter.
Feeding the poor to virtue signal still feeds the poor.
Charity is part of the code and creed assigned to us by Christ. If someone brags or profits off of it is really irrelevant if the impoverished still get the alms and aids they need.
I had a well for 22 years and replaced one part one time. These parts last a long, long, long time even without any maintenance at all as long as they aren't being actively sabotaged or abused.
22 years ago, every single part wasn't made in a sweat shop in China. We went 25 on the first, tank, and controller board. When we put in the new one 6 years ago, the frequency had to be tuned several times the first few months so the motor wouldn't burn up. Should the pumps have been installed by professionals? You'd like to think so. I can't imagine Africa has too many well specialist since before this they didn't have wells. But hey it's not my money for once
To be honest, given this is Africa, I wouldn't be surprised if this is true and the wells were claimed or made to look inoperable so that they could go 'your scheme didn't work, give us more money to support local projects WE control'
Basically the type of projects only 10% ACTUALLY goes where it's wanted and the rest is siphoned off for bribes, slush funds etc. At this point just cut off ALL aid to Africa, even China is looking to go that way, let them survive on their own and you'll get your population decrease globalists!

Not only will they fail to maintain, they will actively destroy what is working to salvage the parts.
They see more value in short term gain than long term results. I’m not even sure they can conceptualize long term results.
Give the 3rd world a well and they dismantle it for scrap metal.
Teach the 3rd world to build a well and they forget in a day and never build a proper one in the first place.
Doesn't this prove otherwise?
No. They will eventually destroy the wells.
2 more weeks!
Is that the one where the Chinese man talks smack about African culture to some black guy's face?
The very same. It's also the origin of the "It's all so tiresome" man.
Doesn't this prove that they are capable of maintenance?
No, it just proves that the wells are working right now.
Right which goes against your theories
This could be corrected out of a population in a generation.
But you'd need to seize control over education and media and the legal system, so it'd basically be colonization but done right.
And is what worth it? No, that's why everyone just comes in and pillages and funds the warlord who will give them the most shit.
Can't educate a population with room temperature IQs.
Creative culling.
> Send someone to the well
> Perform the 15 minutes of maintenance the people haven't been doing
> Take a picture
"It was working the whole time! Checkmate, liars!!"
This could also be so. My first thought was manufactured drama. Aka advertising, in case you forgot or didn't know he built those wells.
If it took 15 min of maintenance, then the locals should be doing it. Especially if their lives depend on it.
-BEEP- I'm not sure ab-BEEP-out that. I don't think they'll do mai-BEEP-ntenance on something if it only takes minutes -BEEP- and could save their -BEEP- life.
It's a big if. The 15 minutes of maintenance is a completely made up figure by the user you responded to

Who said anything about fixing them?
Who said anything about complaining?
Where are you getting all this fanfic?
Let me ask you a question. How would you feel if you hadn't eaten breakfast this morning?
Hungry
Well then. you can probably ascertain from the original post why:
people were bringing up broken wells
shaming the guy who built them
and why he had to prove to them they were still working
a well doesn't break in a year. let's see it after 10, or 20.

Reminder Mr Beast defended that pedo tranny Chris Tyson
IIRC, "news cycle" is too charitable.
It was some clickbait video making unsubstantiated claims.
This is an excellent point to consider, but it begs the “yet” argument.

There's a post here about the initial claim/video: https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/19BGhZAHKR/charity-to-africa-from-mr-beast-/c/
Indeed. It was juicy and very believable, so no one had seconds thoughts. Unfortunately it was just wrong.
Nigger lover.
What a weird response. If he's telling the truth then you should be bothered by yet more media lies being propagated
He shouldn't have been building those stupid wells just to virtue signal , in the first place.
He didn't do it to signal virtue. He did it do advance his career.
He did it to make money from his brand. Also personal charity is a Christian value. Do you have an issue with that or do you think his money belongs to you or the government
He's a weird guy, and his IQ is as low as you're probably thinking.

Theyve been operating for what a few months? Parts will break in a year or two.

Reading is hard huh?
It says over a year.
its been a year. Has he provided any evidence that they are still working and that parts haven't broken or been stolen in the past few months?
Wow reading is REALLY hard for you
I don't have X to view the video link. Care to report back one all 100 snippets?
Uh huh

I wouldn't be surprised if someone came in and stole all the parts and sold em on the black market
...do you read any of it at all?
It's far worse than that. His wells will be criminalized in these countries so that they don't provide water independent of the government.
I bet most of his wells don't work any more, any metal would have been cut off for scrap.
As if Mr Beast isn't desperate for ad money.
The same Mr. Beast that edited the videos to fake building houses...
This looks like manufactured drama to my eyes.
