beauty inspires greatness.

And why wouldn't it?

When you look upon baroque/renaissance masterpieces, palaces, castles, etc., what do you think? I see greatness, a will to do more than the bare minimum, a symbol of cultural strength. When I look at the art deco buildings in NYC, I see the same will to do more than what was necessary. I see the boring rectangular minimalist monoliths next to them and feel nothing but contempt and sadness.

Look at Rome. Thousands of years since those structures were built and yet they still stand proudly, reminding the world of the men who built them, of their strength and determination. When I see the quaint houses in Tuscany, or the canals of Venice, I see a monument to history, to the people that lived there.

When I see a modern strip mall, or a minimalist McWendy King, I am reminded of the brutalist structures of the USSR. Devoid of personality, no beauty, just a utilitarian, bland box. There is no statement made, no inspiration, no evidence of a distinguishable culture. Only an eternal present, no past, no future.

Beauty is the enemy of evil, because beauty inspires men to be more than simple animals. It motivates us to achieve greatness, like building the Sistine Chapel, or going to the moon, or composing Clair de Lune.

Anyone that attempts to remove, erase, or replace beauty with inferiority and dullness is ontologically evil, for they seek to destroy the light within humanity itself.

Yes that's exactly what the queer movement is. Everyone must identify as some fucked up sexuality. Straight is treated as a tiny dot on the rainbow flag, if it even gets that. They want you to be the abnormal one.

That's the most faggish awkward way to phrase it but I want to point out how everyone is gushing about how hot female comic book characters used to be (Rogue, Shulk, Catwoman, etc). Don't forget what they took away from us, brothers ✊

Looks at black cat, also rembers 90s Xmen and where I developed a thing for women with a southern accent...

The 90s was really the apex of ALL western media wasn't it?

Xmen is responsible for both men and women thinking those are Southern accents, when the only people who speak like that are 60+ and usually black.

Which if that's your thing good on ya, but Gambit and the rest are literally just NYC/Hollywood faking a culture they hate.

I've been to New Orleans a few times and never heard a single person speak with a French accent.

I get that the area has strong French roots, and maybe there used to be a prominent French minority there, but now it's mostly just blacks.

Our "French" accent is harsh and grating, the exact opposite of that smooth, silky bullshit that Xmen peddles. Ironically the best representation of how everyone in Louisiana talks is the "you like to see homos naked?" guy from Joe Dirt. People like that did exist, but there is a reason why its only seen in the elderly.

Because no one speaks Cajun French anymore to begin with. We all learn a handful of common words we still use, and then just speak English peppered with them. Its a dead language (thanks to the American Government), and its accent was taken with it.

And people wonder why the Quebecois have tongue troopers.

But they're too stupid to realize that they're not importing people who speak Quebecois French specifically (which is known for some particularly blasphemous swears.)

I think the closest you'll get to French is those Cajun thick accents. The words that are extra mumbly could be French.

You're not going to find people speaking french in New Orleans.

You gotta go over to the Acadiana parishes and the backwater trawlers/fishermen - those are places where french is the second language and you've got families where the grandparents refuse to speak english.

Also, there are germans. Somehow. I don't fucking know.

Being a kids show, it was probably just easier to make everyone a grossly exaggerated caricature to make the characters more distinguishable and their backstories stand out more.

It was also the 90’s, when caricatures were something lighthearted and fun, and not treated as Mein Kampf like they are today

I don't recall Wolverine going around "its aboot time I kill ya bub eh?" despite being Canadian. So clearly there were options about the level of caricature. Throw some "cher" and "couyon" in his dialogue and you'd have a genuine Cajun stereotype on its own.

Also the 90s was just as filled with "the South is nothing but drooling retards, the scum of America, look at how backwoods they are!" on every channel. This was one of the few times it wasn't purely malicious.

I should say, this sounds a lot more angry/offended than I am about it. Its a huge nothingburger. Its just been 30+ years of people who "just love Southern accents" and then are referring to an accent that was basically made up on TV.

Fair enough, I’m one of those people who love Southern accents but always imagines women who sound like Rogue and men who sound like Stone Cold Steve Austin. In my defence though, I’m a South African living in New Zealand, so my ears are hopelessly out of tune with American accents. Even my own sounds kinda fucked up to me sometimes, lol.

I appreciated the stereotypes as a child, even the ones about redneck backwoods and dumb hicks etc. It’s the same constant put downs my small farming town Afrikaaner family and I constantly had in South Africa, so it actually made me LOVE the rednecks. Made me root for them.

And for the record I would pay a PREMIUM to watch a series featuring a super-Canadian Wolverine.

Jesus that would be hilarious 😆😆😆

Don't accept the premise that "sexuality" is real. There are normal behaviors and there is degeneracy.

Pretending that degeneracy is an identity and not a choice opens the door for all kinds of poorly reasoned conclusions like degenerates shouldn't be excluded from normal society.

I've said this before but the modern conception of sexuality is preposterous nonsense:

  1. Everyone has a "sexuality" that is either straight, gay, or some flavor of both.

  2. Sexuality is innate and immutable. It's a core part of who you are, and can't be changed by yourself or anyone else.

  3. Sexuality is also deeply mysterious and unknowable, and must be constantly questioned and tested.

  4. It is believed that there are legions of straight people walking around who are secretly gay and unaware of it. This is attributed to societal brainwashing, despite claiming this is impossible.

  5. For this reason exposing oneself to gay media is considered especially important and virtuous.

  6. It is not believed that there are gay people walking around who are secretly straight. Brainwashing can only go one way, it is impossible to convince a straight person to be gay. To even suggest such a thing is a hate crime.

  7. Changes to sexuality are impossible. So when they happen, they are retroactive backwards through time. A straight person with an opposite gender spouse, years of straight relationships, biological children, interest in straight porn and erotic content, etc, etc, who then switches to gay will be described as always having been gay, forever. Sexuality didn't change, it was "discovered."

  8. Changing from straight to gay is always considered a good and positive move, no matter how many lives it ruins, children estranged, families torn apart, etc.

  9. Changing from gay to straight is always considered a bad thing, even if it patches up families, mends fences, or results in a more stable life. In fact converts of this sort will be labeled as in denial or malicious fakers out to get the LGBT&7^Z3 community.

It's an insane cult, pure and simple. All the contradictions run in the same direction: straight bad, homo good.

Being such a coomer that you’re willing to borrow friction from just about anyone or anything doesn’t mean you have a special and legitimate identity. You’re just a hypersexualized degenerate acting on all of your most fucked up impulses, most of which were planted in you by childhood trauma and/or overconsumption of pornography.

If anyone types that they've, " Deeply questioned their sexuality" they're too far gone. They're surrounded themselves with pronoun people who have told them, " deep down inside" so many times they have had to fight to be straight in their own minds.

Pronoun people always try to make those around them into pronoun people. It's sickening.

If you read accounts from transwidows, they all go through the form of abuse which is the trans attempting to mind fucking them into also being trans with them. I as nky aware until I learned of this term that this is why, " straight with extra steps" couples are so common.

They want to drag everyone around them down with them.

Before the internet it was perfectly possible to think you were alone (and weird) about something (especially when you were young) until you stumbled across that one book, person, or group (that hopefully isn't a cult of some sort.)

But I can't see that being so much the case today ...
