In most sci fi and dystopia themed media. Games, movies, TV, books, whatever... The default state of the world at the beginning of all these stories is already in the dystopia state. We rarely see how the transition plays out from start to finish. It just "is".

That's part of the problem too. Subtly programming us to think that the default state is to be living in that kind of a world, and that it's ok. Granted throughout these stories there are efforts to change that default state but that is irrelevant. The characters and the audience begin the journey in a fucked up world and they must navigate through it

Haven't seen it but read here and there and basically got the plot. It's subversive on all fronts

Not even considering the anti patriarchy messaging, something that affects everyone is the idea of the system status quo.

Barbie world or whatever -- ie. the current world order -- is a great place for the priveleged class at the top. Then there's an isekai trip and instead of the inspiration to change for the better, change is depicted as evil and the system must be maintained. The system itself originally is arguably evil and change would be welcome.

So another take on this movie is, patriarchy aside, it's going to program young girls and young boys into loving the current model of order, and programming them into supporting it/fighting for it/lashing out at revolutionaries, anyone who criticises it

They don't need the common man. Very clear that the financial system is fake. They can print up money and rescue Hollywood at a convenient time. If people rise up and revolt in response to that, they can print up money and feed it to military for crowd control

I've been told a lot of Africans coming here in Australia. where I am I've yet to see more than usual. But am seeing swathes of Nepalese coming here. They've basically dominated most of the regular services. You see them working all the restaurants, cafes, deliveries, retail shops, service desks, hotels, hospitals, etc.

I've already noticed a distinct decline in quality of goods & services. No one else there really has noticed. I'm certain there'll be a breaking point here soon. They wanna immigrate like 600k more Nepalese in the coming years

Typical of ND to kill their ips now. Uncharted 4 was great for the multiplayer, and after 2 years of blue balling and false promises since it's release killed that. Now I don't give a shit about uncharted

(Also why I knew way in advance to avoid tlou2)

I heard it plays on 30fps, not 60fps. That's make or break for me

And when those people get into some power or good money they think they're superior to all the others that came off the same production line

You would think they'd have more important things to worry about ... Being at "war" and all that

I think for me it became quite clear quickly that he was a shill for products and not really being genuinely informative

Yep what those items in the op pic are complaining about isn't real capitalism. It's a socialist-capitalism abomination in disguise

these comments... bitching about diversity and race when the real issue is that the Fast movies are going full on sci-fi to normalise all the technocratic shit coming our way. namely the surveillance and cyber warfare shit

I thought these people loved super heroes and the ideas of cleaning up a society that has succumbed to so much corruption and decay?

Then when they finally enter the world they fantasized about suddenly it's "Nooo!! You can't just take vigilante justice into your own hands!!!" ??

Yeah this could be an average figure or something. My first year working i Japan I was taxed 20% on all income. The from the 2nd year onwards it went down to like 1%

Granted I was making about $15-$20k a year back then

Half taken in tax. Then half taken out of the remaining by living costs and pay-to-use public goods

Good you figured it out. I'm still surrounded by people who claim the DW and all its speakers as "the most objective and therefore most intelligent information"

I'll agree with that statement if can see bolsanaro was backed by Zionist Jews

So read through all the comments and I have to say

That even though you feel you're at the breaking point, just know that there are people (at least here on these boards) that don't want to see you give up and do want to see you pull through. We're wishing the best for you

Like you I'm in Aus and most of my circles are similar to yours. I've just come to accept that whatever happens happens and I'm trying to spend as much time with them as I can, even if they are oblivious to or are going along with the decline.

But I've also recently found some people who are working to resist the authoritarianism via parallel society-type efforts so we'll see how that goes

I guess just don't give up because you never know one day you might inspire others or open their eyes to reality. One day maybe.

You know what's wrong and you know what you need to do to overcome it. We can only just hope you do

I played only the first kingdom hearts when I was a kid. Didn't play any others.

Just finished this one and you're right about the story, it didn't wrap up nicely. Felt like a patchwork job to close up a bunch of plot points from other games which I only got the jist of. But coming into it with knowing nothing of all the games between KH1 - KH3 it wasn't that difficult to follow the story.

I can only say that from my perspective is been mostly good because of the wholesome nature and absence of modern day degeneracy/woke insertion.

Likewise for the gameplay, I can only really compare this to other action RPGs and not past kingdom hearts games. Combat was probably my favourite part of KH3. And I liked that the maps weren't massive. Linear and short but open enough to explore a bit.

But yeah tldr I've only played KH1 a long time ago and now this game
