Nothing says I don’t like a character more than is sexuality being it’s defining feature. It’s lazy writing on top of sad pandering that makes a one dimensional character with no future development.
It's one thing if there were a legitimate story reason for it and it were part of, say, an M or maybe T rated game, but Crash Bandicoot has always been targeted toward all ages.
That's why I don't think this is a good idea.
It's going to feel very forced and amount to blatant propaganda where this character will likely be a Rey or She-Hulk 2022 Tumblr-esque self-insert for an SJW writer.
I have difficulty seeing anything beyond a robot or perhaps an amorphous blob. Both in which gender wouldn't really exist anyway so it could lean back and forth.

N.Sane sold incredibly well, and Crash 4 had actually revitalized the franchise enough for them to capitalize on it.
So the remade CTR with enough microtransactions to tank its popularity, a shitty cash grab mobile game and now this. Just so they could kill it again instantly.
At this point it feels like a challenge to rule 34 artists. Let them figure it out. If the clear political angle wasn't a thing, I'd consider it a hilarious troll.
Congrats to Crash of the Titans, Twinsanity and The Wrath of Cortex. The PS2 titles not made by Naughty Dog will no longer be the black sheep of the crash games.
