According to court documents, the two men were strangers who pulled out guns and began firing within seconds of starting an argument.

Are you telling me that they had a "moment?"

Wow. I guess they did win the Space Race after all.

C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien sure were lucky to live in a era without war and the threat of nuclear disaster. /s

This is the fundamental difference between the wise man who builds his spiritual foundation on rock and the fool builds his spiritual foundation on sand.

I think the problem is that we have lost the concept of "duty" as a society. We have forgotten that we have moral and spiritual obligations, even if there is no legal consequence for breaking them.

This concept isn't even unique to Western society; the Hindu concept of dharma is similar.

Got to share this relevant Family Guy clip.

LeVar Burton's been unhinged on political issues for a long time. It's a shame; I loved him in Star Trek and Reading Rainbow.

Team Fortress 2 is still pretty active on community servers, and I'm sure that the annual Halloween event brought players out. Bots are still very much a problem in the official casual servers, though.

For those of you who are not aware, Fables was fairly popular series published by DC Comics about fairy tale creatures living in modern America. It led to several spin-off series and video game, The Wolf Among Us.

Legally per the terms of his contract with DC, Willingham retained full rights to the Fables story and characters as his intellectual property. DC kept going behind his back with releases and stories, and Willingham lacked the resources to mount a full-scale legal battle.

Thus, because he has the right to give ownership of Fables to whoever he chooses, and because of his own philosophy on the copyright system, Willingham released his work into the public domain. Now anyone can create works with those characters and stories; DC no longer has a monopoly.

What an absolute Chad.

Governors across the country suspended the 1st amendment (freedom of assembly) over Covid. The only reason why this isn't flying is because she marched out of time. You have to make a play like this with the rest of the herd.

Combine that with the fact that men drink way too much in our culture, already. I cannot, for the life of me, understand what the appeal is of getting so drunk that you don't remember the night before, and that you vomit. That sounds awful. There are about a million things I would rather do than that.

Getting a little tipsy and goofing off with friends? Sure I get the appeal of that. I haven't really done that since shortly after my college days, but I understand it. Blackout drunk or ending the night over a toilet? That sucks.

Even then, the N in N95 stands for "not resistant to oil." What is the outside shell of the Covid virus made of? Oil.

You'd need a P100 respirator to really stand a chance of doing something.

Yet somehow, I don't think that his book will wind up on libraries' "Read Banned Books" displays.

Technically speaking, this referendum was about the procedure for changing the Ohio Constitution. The abortion vote comes in November. This vote was to raise the threshold for a constitutional amendment from a simple majority to 60%.

The conservative vote was split because many conservatives just wanted to keep the status quo.

This is the fundamental difference between classic heroes and the new "heroes" the woke activists push. True heroism means self-sacrifice for a greater good. None of the activists understand that; instead they're like spoiled children who can only think of what makes themselves feel good.

That is of course assuming that ot is genetic, which it may be. There is also the distinct possibility that it is due to exposure to some environmental toxin. It may be combination of both. In which case, removing said toxin from human consumption would be how it would be stopped.

Something went wrong in these peoples' lives or in the wiring of their brains. For some reason, they fundamentally don't understand the difference between children and adults. Thus, they project their adult interests and desires on these children. It's a fairly common phenomenon with other, more traditional, pedophiles.

All of this obsession with self-identity is so adolescent, and it boggles to the mind to see so many grown adults obsessing over ridiculous stuff, like what gender they feel inside.

Remember when Disney refused to remake Snow White, or make any sequels to it, because of its special status as the first feature-length animated film?

This is hilarious. This is going to bomb so badly. This isn't even going to nostalgia-bait millennials. I hope that they are spending an obscene amount of money on this. Clearly they spared no expense; they even got the director of the wildly successful Amazing Spider-man movies to helm this one!

It's a political spiritual attack against our culture, in this case using Star Wars as a weapon.

This goes beyond politics and even culture. The Sequel Trilogy is an attack on heroism itself. It's not just a subversion of Star Wars; it's a subversion of the Hero's Journey itself. The destruction of these cultural icons is an attack on heroism itself. It's their way of striking out against Goodness and the God that is the source of all Goodness.

Until people realize that this is an extension of the same spiritual war that has been going on since the Fall, I don't think that we're going to make any real progress in fighting this.

It's probably connected to the fujoshi (rotten girl) phenomenon, as it's called in Japan. They're girls who are obsessed with Yaoi to the point where they are ruined for normal relationships.

Simulation theory is nothing more than a bunch of atheists inventing God, but with extra steps.

The BBC version of The Silver Chair, is an accurate adaptation, though it has a cheesy, children's theater quality that isn't for everyone. There are BBC adaptations of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardobe, Prince Caspian, and Voyage of the Dawn Treader too.
