those are literally communist strike cartoons

Precisely. I'd recognize that Mickey Mouse picture anywhere.

The Cartoonists Union was striking against Walt Disney, while operating in affiliation with Herb Sorrell's "Conference of Studio Unions", which was explicit receiving funds from the Soviet Union to push Communist AgitProp.

Notice that Mickey Mouse is wearing an "AFL" badge too. That's a badge represents the American Federation of Labor, which would become: the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).

You know what else the AFL-CIO is famous for? I'll quote Time:

There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans. The pact was formalized in a terse, little-noticed joint statement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO published on Election Day. Both sides would come to see it as a sort of implicit bargain–inspired by the summer’s massive, sometimes destructive racial-justice protests–in which the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital to keep the peace and oppose Trump’s assault on democracy.

Communists never change, they just wear someone else's skin.

Well, since they invented vanguard communism, communism is something you do to the oppressed, not for the oppressed.

The tactics of Marxist-Leninism (Vanguard Communism) haven't change simply because they are effective. I'm still saying that the Marxist-Hegelian Dialectic (and the and implications of thereof) don't change.

It's why I did a double take at the picture.

Just a note about the old-school cartoonists strike that hit Walt.

That was back when unions used to hit EVERY fucking shop, not just the one(s) that were being sonsofbitches. That 1930s strike was actually aimed at other studios, such as Warner or AAP or some such (can't really remember which, but I think it was actually AAP that was pissing them off - the Popeye guys.) But when one shop struck, they ALL had to.

Walt took that personally, and he never really recovered his trust of his "family" after that. He was in fact mid-west and a bit naive when it came to how his workers viewed him, and he had one hell of a memory - even when people left during the war to come back later, he could still rattle off some minor in-betweener's entire family's names, including their pets.

And he wasn't a fucking anti-Semite, he had jews working for him. Oh, he didn't kiss their fucking asses and worship at their feet? No one did ...until the holocaust supposedly happened. Fucking convenient that.

And that whole "shut all the shops, even the good ones" didn't stop until AFTER the Canadian contingent of the UAW got sick of having to strike for American grievances that had fuck-all to do with us, but the Americans would never strike when our side had issues. It's the whole reason the CAW exists.

That wasn't an accident, and it wasn't about worshiping jews. The "Hollywood Anti-Fascist League", an explicit Communist group, created the allegation that he was an anti-semite as a useful smear against him. This was long after many of the Hollywood Communists supported Adolf Hitler explicitly due to Joseph Stalin's alliance with him via the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

Like always, "anti-semetic" smears had nothing to do with any actual jews or treatment to such. The only thing it had to do with was whether or not it served the purpose of a Leftist.

What I really hate is when I see scenes from Der Fuhrer's Face taken out of context, or the ending removed.

And I really fail to understand why Education for Death is considered "banned" - do they really think Walt was promoting what is in that?

Same as the Bugs Bunny wartime cartoons. Why is the one with the Nazi inner circle "banned"? It's not like Bugs is joining them ...

Nazis are bad, thus you can't expose kids to bad things. Also why you shouldn't allow kids to see Trump speeches.

But by all means, take them to sexually charged "pride" parades. Yeah, that sounds par for their logic.

Hi Jonathan, you're 100% correct about the reporting about the strike.

Now do politics.

Also, I'm way ahead of you on the Disney boycott. Been on it since the late '90s. It has nothing to do with your stupid strike though. If I didn't hate both sides so much and Disney actually produced anything worthwhile, I'd probably find some way to give them money out of spite for your entitled ass.

The Communists have always been after Disney, ever since Walt stood up to them and their thug enforcers It's also the root of all of the Walt Disney= Nazi sympathizer rumors.

The Disney of today has little to do with the Disney of old. The communists have taken over mainstream entertainment long ago.

They should keep striking, for absolutely as long as possible, hopefully until the industry collapses.

The longer we go without them churning out activist propaganda, the better it will be for the rest of us.

The sport of jai alai was very popular in Florida, even having a professional league running that sold out all its seats for many games.

And then the players went on strike.

For THREE WHOLE YEARS.

The sport never recovered.

It’s fair advice to consider where the chain of command goes behind any source or outlet, when gauging how credible the story presented is. But honestly? Even if this was the worst possible thing, a cynical propaganda story put out with a distinct purpose of harming the station-owner’s enemies, I’m not sure it’s even necessary. Hardly anyone is on the writers/actors side in this debate. Normal people are just watching stuff on our streaming platforms and not giving a fuck for a bunch of entitled assholes who don’t do real work for a living, just because they’re up against some other entitled assholes who don’t do real work for a living. Sure, I occasionally see some Very Online lefties claiming solidarity, but I’d bet 90 percent of Americans are in the range between mild disinterest to outright apathy to “fuck em all!”
