We've known Bank of America is cartoonishly evil for years now. Anyone dumb enough to keep using them kind of deserves it at this point. "I didn't think Darth Vader would force choke me!" only works if you haven't already seen him do it a hundred times already.

They're experts at squeezing blood from the Stone of Oppression no matter how much power they have. Despite the fact that the federal government and just about every state government officially endorses state sponsored homosexuality, they managed to convince themselves that Florida making it illegal to groom children under a certain age is LITERALLY Hitler LITERALLY taking over the entire country and LITERALLY turning America into a fascist state. Literally.

The only way they'll ever believe they're not the scrappy underdogs is when there is nobody left to disagree with them, no matter how politely.

It has the makings of a great story, but it's too involved for a fable yet too short for a story. Some of the "metaphors" are also incredibly ham fisted and nearly none of them have anything to do with the primary peril of the story: the cold.

I do think the analogy of the ship heading north while the passengers are solely concerned with their immediate comfort is brilliant though.

It would have been better if it was just one group who kept demanding more blankets. As the ship got colder, they'd use this to justify the need for more blankets, until it got so cold they froze to death despite being wrapped in so many blankets you could no longer see them. That would be a great fable.

Exactly. First comes jacking up the bill to $5000 a month. Then comes "incentives" and "rebates" designed to coerce you into swearing fealty to the regime. Don't cooperate? Hope you can afford electricity at a rate ten times what your neighbors are paying.

So there I was, innocently driving around high as fuck on pain meds, swerving around, endangering everyone around me. When suddenly, the racist cops start hassling me for no reason! I am The Punisher, and I think le bigotry is le 0 wholesome chungus, fellow redditors. This is my story...of driving while black.

In 2008, the Simpsons had an episode that takes place in the 90s where Marge has an anti-white male feminist professor who teaches revisionist history.

It may not have been literally omnipresent like it is today, but academia has been infected since at least the early 90s.

My issue is that "assigned by God" can't even be used as a pronoun. If you're going to troll, at least put some effort into it. How about "God's Assigned Programmer"? That'd work as a pronoun if treated as an honorific.

I live in an area that's absolutely infested with brainless true believer NPCs, but even among their number, the only ones who seriously believe that Trump is definitely and uniquely guilty of everything the establishment says are boomers who have been guzzling CNN for fifty years and are literally not capable of critical thought any more.

Gen Z doesn't care about him at all, millennials are just tired of hearing about him, gen X has taken a "fool me 15,000 times, shame on me" approach to stories about the walls closing in. All that's left is sad old people who've been lobotomized by da teevee.

You don't start fires using explosives. You use accelerants. Explosives are loud, bulky, and not designed to start a fire unless they're incendiary devices, but there would be no reason to build an incendiary bomb to set a bunch of dry wood on fire. The result would be less efficient and more conspicuous.

You know how, despite a paint job and renovations, you can still tell a building used to be a Pizza Hut?...

Holy hell. A top level Imp comment about misandry and it has zero downvotes. Either the fan club is slipping or even the staunchest m'lady defenders can't bring themselves to deny this one.

Being gay wasn't political until they made it political. Not coincidentally, I had no problem with the gay community until fairly recently.

I wonder, when the pendulum swings back, will they even realize how much of the pushback is their own fault? Just kidding. I know the answer is "no".

Technically speaking, a clone of a man with XX Male Syndrome could have the erroneously crossed over SRY gene knocked out, resulting in a female that is genetically identical in every way except for the bit of code that activates "male mode". I think most people would consider that close enough.

That ruling is literally "trannies good, Florida bad, therefore I side with trannies". Maybe the worst ruling in the history of the country. The supreme court is absolutely going to side with Florida on this one, assuming the FBI doesn't threaten to kill them if they do.

I don't know who any of these people are, but I do know how to spot the standard issue all lower case, no punctuation, irony-poisoned Twitter NPC model when I see one. So whatever he's talking about, he's wrong.

The right hates it because it's pandering at best, grooming at worst.

Most gays hate it because they perceive it as a hollow gesture designed to make money.

Non-whites hate it because white people are, on average, the only people on earth who approve of homosexuality.

The only people who like it are trenders and leftist women who are too stupid to know better.

It was doomed from the start.

"You can't be mad about hatred against you today if someone who looked kind of like you was mean long before you were born" is the rallying cry of the useful idiot.

They're incentivizing and rewarding sociopathic behavior, then getting mad that sociopathy is on the rise. But then, that's pretty much the MO of the leftist woman. Demand bad things, then act shocked when you get bad things. To call it childish would be an insult to children.

It's funny (in a horrifying way) that they put "gay men" as a sexuality - even though it's a combination of a sexuality and a sex - just so they could put themselves in the coveted Oppressed Class. You'd think having the Men Bad slice would be enough for them, but it's never enough, is it?

>using MAGA as a collective noun

Is there any greater indicator of an establishment propagandist?

So-called "non binary" fashion is just that-- a fad that allows adolescents to be edgy without having to commit to surgery, much like the public declarations of homo- and bisexuality that do not reflect their actual sex habits. Heteros--especially teenage boys-- can't get off on homosex. Girls can more easily pretend because they need not have any penetration or even cunnilingus--they can play at lesbianism without a serious emotional or physical.commitment.

When I was a kid, we all insisted we were bisexual, because straightness is boring. Were we? No, of course not. We just said we were for the social clout. We'd proudly declare "I'm straight but not narrow" and then continue being as hetero as possible.

In college a lot of the girls would take it a step farther and kiss each other at parties - secretly purely as a show for the boys, of course - and declare themselves bisexual or lesbian. But by then the boys had all outgrown the need to apply trendy labels to themselves so the girls mostly stopped by junior year.

Tl;Dr every generation does this and it's 99% performative because kids are stupid
