Sheik will be one of the biggest disasters for the Zelda franchise because of troons latching onto yet another crossdressing character and demanding it be considered trans rather than otherwise.
In Ocarina of Time, she wasn't as shapely as in Melee, though. It helped the surprise reveal, although it might have just been related to limitations of the N64. Also, in-game characters called Sheik "he", like princess Ruto, even if that was obviously only to support Zelda's disguise while she was hiding from Ganon.
But troons will latch on to any justification to "claim" a character as one of their own, in their endless narcissistic quest to validate their delusions, so I really wouldn't be surprised if they attempted it here too.
I neither said that, nor is it actually the point.
Zelda was crossdressing in order to hide from Ganondorf in the FutureWorld of OoT since she had one of the three parts to the Triforce, namely the Triforce of Wisdom, while Link has the Triforce of Courage, and Ganon the Triforce or Power.
Sheik doesn't actually exist, the whole thing is a deception to prevent the end of the world from happening while waiting for Link to return.

Cross dressing implies that she was dressed as a male. She dressed at best androgynously, and had a clear chest binding/wrapping even in the N64 model.
I don't know about you guys, but Sheik always looked obviously female when I was playing it back in the day and it wasn't until I was an adult on the internet that I found out that it was supposed to be a "he" via pronouns apparently used in the game.
They already argue captain Li Shang was gay because Mulan crosdressed as a man.
You don't even need to put in your own effort to reason the situation, use their own retarded logic and ask why they assume Mulan is a man just because she dressed up as one. Maybe she considered herself non-binary or any other of their stupid terms and therefore Shang wouldn't be gay.
But that isn't what they do here, because yet again despite all their gnashing of teething and wailing about the subjects they default to stereotypes faster than most.
Yeah, this reeks of desperate tranny astroturfing. The producers would be fucking insane to even consider casting a dude as Zelda. It’s a choice that could easily cost them half a billion dollars at the box office.
If it costs the COMPANY half a billion dollars at the box office, but Blackrock bribes the DIRECTOR directly for ten million dollars, it's net profit to the director to do it.
I'll pass. Not sure I'd like a Zelda movie anyway. I loved most of the games I've played, but never because of the story. It's fine for a video game, "help I'm kidnapped by evil thing save me!"
The legend of Zelda really doesn't work as a movie, even less so than mario. Mario at least makes a good cartoon, but the legend of Zelda is primarily about dungeons and one man badass stuff. dialogue is secondary, overarching plot is secondary. any movie that calls itself Zelda without having these elements would not feel right.
A Metroid movie in the style of Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal (a show with next to no dialogue) would actually be really cool. The problem is they would absolutely never do something like that because the average viewer's brain is addled with ADD and needs dialogue to remain interested in watching something.
It would also fail because they would need to remind you that Samus is a girl every 2 minutes, meaning the entire movie would be built around contrived reasons for her to remove her suit over and over or pull the Other M route of "need to talk about my feelings, my baby, and my unresolved daddy issues towards my commander."
other m might as well have been an attempt, given how cinematic they tried to make it. other m was also awful and nothing like Metroid other than having the main character named Samus.
You could make the exact same franchise gender-swapped, and her criticism would have been: "Did you know that even though Zelda does all the work, Link gets his name in the title?" One of the most nakedly disgusting hacks out there. No way to please her.
To be fair; actors have always been fags. Movies, tv, plays, and musicals have always been gay. Men have historically played women in roles for a longer time period than women played women. Stop watching tv, stop watching movies, stop going to plays, stop going to musicals.
Is this the thread where we pretend that zelda doesn't have multiple cross dressing instances and japan isn't totally into that from all angles and all media?

Sheik wasn’t a crossdresser, even in SSB she clearly has tits, they were just wrapped up.

OOT Zelda didn't have much of a chest either tbf.
I neither said that, nor is it actually the point.

in the original Ocarina of Time, Shiek was known as a man. Not because of troonery, but because it further enhanced the disguise.
I don't know about you guys, but Sheik always looked obviously female when I was playing it back in the day and it wasn't until I was an adult on the internet that I found out that it was supposed to be a "he" via pronouns apparently used in the game.
Same here, I always figured it was some blonde chick pretending to be a ninja
Either that or censoring the most iconic character in the franchise to date: Morshu.
How long before homosexual Mulan?
They already argue captain Li Shang was gay because Mulan crosdressed as a man.
From my point of view, Li subconsciously knew Ping was a woman, so biological essentialism wins or something

Dude looks like an elf he should be playing link who is a boy that looks like a woman.
They keep spreading this rumor

He should 41℅ himself.
In Minecraft of course.
"No, in real life"
-Sam Hyde
They should practice in Minecraft to make sure they can get the job done, then in reality.
Or ragdoll himself off a roof in Garry's Mod.
Welp. I’m not taking my kids to see a movie with a tranny
I'll pass. Not sure I'd like a Zelda movie anyway. I loved most of the games I've played, but never because of the story. It's fine for a video game, "help I'm kidnapped by evil thing save me!"
We all know they'll grrlboss the shit out of Zelda, well beyond her established badassery in the lore. The Mario movie shows this
Quite frankly, thats a retarded take on the Mario movie. The hero of the Mario movie is FIRMLY Mario. And ultimately actually Luigi as it should be.
One of the few games to perfectly capture Zelda kicking ass while still being feminine was, oddly enough, Hyrule Warriors.
The legend of Zelda really doesn't work as a movie, even less so than mario. Genndy may be the last creator to understand the power of silence.
Also a major reason I loved Evangelion.

Does Other M count?
other m might as well have been an attempt, given how cinematic they tried to make it. other m was also awful and nothing like Metroid other than having the main character named Samus.
Well excuuuuuuse me, "princess."
Eww
Disgusting.

Stop playing video games, stop surfing the web, stop posting in forums, stop reading books, stop woodworking, stop painting, stop cooking, stop walking dogs, stop.....
And before hollywood and movie "stars", actors were always seen as equivalent to whores.
Men started assuming the roles of female characters when the Romans had enough of the actresses prostituting themselves after the shows were done.
This is just a rumor started by ONE person on X. It's BS.
Don’t believe until they officially announce it. These websites will lie to show their rainbow support.
The bigger issue is the “Girl Boss” bull that the Super Mario movie had will be ramped up to 11 for this one.
There was zero girl bossing in the Mario movie.

nintendo won't allow the title character to be a tranny
Is this the thread where we pretend that zelda doesn't have multiple cross dressing instances and japan isn't totally into that from all angles and all media?
Why troons think she using magic to disguise herself is the same as pooning out?
Does that mean Link is secretly a furry because he turned into a wolf that one time?
No, but you shouldn't be surprised when furries latch on to this. Especially since Link's wolf form has fursona like design cues.
On a scale of 0 to troon, how would you rank these images:
