Honestly how many recidivists that go through the revolving door of the prison system would hang up their life of crime if instead of housing and food they were instead faced with the prospect of 30 lashes in the town square?
Most, we've unfortunately gone a bit backwards with how we punish criminals.
If we re enacted medieval punishment barring straight up death and dismemberment (for non pedos and serial killers) we'd greatly reduce reoffending rates as they focused more on humiliation of the culprit in a very public setting.
We went backwards because we decided that a handful of innocent men being tortured and put to death was no longer just an unfortunate part of the business when it came to punishment, but a real problem.
Like, that's why all the brutal and rough things people want stopped being common. Because we recognized that the law wasn't perfect or divine, so therefore it shouldn't have limitless power to hurt us.
And the daily abuses by police still as well as cancel culture's lynch mob powers should make us all glad it went that way.
And that works in a civilization populated by rational humans. However, we live in one where 6% of the population might as well be wild animals and commits 55% of violent crime. You can't give an animal "time-out", you put it down.
And the mistake you are making is thinking you won't be labelled an "animal" by the current power structure defining such by things like "misinformation agent" and "hate speaker."
I have no care for protecting niggers or Muslims. I simply know that any weapon we try to use on them will be turned on us tenfold before we even begin to make a difference.
Realistically, probably not many, as the real punishment is the public humiliation of it for normal people. If you're committing crimes then the physical pain is the only potential punishment and not committing crimes will then open you up to charges of "being scared"
the lashes in Singapore rip up skin. You will literally need medical treatment after getting it. Sometimes we don't even serve up all the lashes at the same time because the guy needs to recover first after taking the first few
Even Singaporean TV broadcasters have many programs in English, including news bulletins, if you have a Singaporean IP you can stream it for free in mewatch.sg there is a good line up of Japanese Anime subtitled in English.
His post wasn't even informative though. "Wikipedia claims it is lingua franca in Singapore", which suggests that Wikipedia might be incorrect about this fact.
Punishment for physical assault is severe. So they resort to other ways to fight things out. Spitting is apparently not assault in China so you get this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ect_AcFcrJs
If someone insults me and I kick his ass is that me unvoluntarily causing hurt since he was the one who forced me to act against my will by insulting me?
Unless their equivalent of a felony follows you forever like US, the only other lifetime regret is that they are likely to beat the ass of whomever beat someone's ass in Singapore.
It says "Voluntarily causing hurt", but the "up to 2 years imprisonment" doesn't sound like a "lifetime of regret", it sounds more like 2 years of regret.
Employment and travel will be hampered with a criminal record.
Singapore is a city-state, so leaving the city means travelling to another country, the closest country being Malaysia, which you cannot enter if you're a convicted criminal.
That only works with a civilised population...
That or you're gonna need lots of jails.
Bring back corporal punishment.

The mistake was viewing everyone as a human or being granted the status of citizen. Much of the population are just animals that can speak.

Singapore already has that.
Bring it back to the West
Why not shallow Graves?
A civilised population doesn't need signs like this, nor do they allow their government to treat them like cattle like this.
I was going to ask why the sign is in English, but Wikipedia claims English is lingua franca for government in Singapore.
yeah, it is.
Even Singaporean TV broadcasters have many programs in English, including news bulletins, if you have a Singaporean IP you can stream it for free in mewatch.sg there is a good line up of Japanese Anime subtitled in English.
But you still embarrassed yourself by showing you know nothing about Singapore and yet still feel fit to post a pointless comment.
My guess is he was posting in case anyone else was wondering the same thing.
English being the primary language in an Asian city is unusual, especially if you don't know Singapore's history.
His post wasn't even informative though. "Wikipedia claims it is lingua franca in Singapore", which suggests that Wikipedia might be incorrect about this fact.
Neither were both of your replies, and yet that didn't stop you opening your mouth like an obese redditor and spewing clown takes.
Everybody should name their source when they make a claim, and Wikipedia contains mistakes too.
someone jack off in your corn flakes?
Reminds me of spit fights in China.
Punishment for physical assault is severe. So they resort to other ways to fight things out. Spitting is apparently not assault in China so you get this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ect_AcFcrJs
I was waiting for the ground beneath them to collapse any moment...
And they use two black characters fighting- that would be banned in the West too!
We would have to have two white characters fighting. Because the anti-white racism of our elites.

Singapore just doesn’t appreciate scholars it seems.
You have to be white to post here.
Depends on if he called you a nigga. If so and you're black you're allowed to chimp out.
If you fight at all, you're going to be charged. Even if you fight back
Sounds like a shithole police state.
It is what it is
A female wrote this law.
People randomly losing it is a direct side effect of living in sardine cans and termite mounds.
They are getting softer.
Unless their equivalent of a felony follows you forever like US, the only other lifetime regret is that they are likely to beat the ass of whomever beat someone's ass in Singapore.
That'll stick with you!
prison records are pretty accessible in singapore. Everything is digital and employers can easily find out

Plus a lifetime criminal record, which no doubt is something Singaporeans don't look lightly upon.
too bad the police here are so damn lazy and incompetent
