I watched Dopesick - the "true" story of miners being injured and needing painkillers. Of course we can't be expected to care about white working class men who are injured supporting their families these days! So the mine worker who was injured was a LESBIAN TEENAGE GIRL. (her family couldn't accept her being a lesbian, because we need to see how bigoted working class people are!)
And in the same "true" story on Netflix (Painkiller) the hero of the story was of course played by an imaginary Angry Black Woman (no word on her sexuality or disability status)
That's interesting. I wish it was broken down per capita too. Those numbers are higher than I would have expected.
Let's look at New Mexico. I'll write it as Demographics (% of Abortions). Latino: 48% (58%), Black: 2% (6%), White 37% (26%.) Similar stories in places like Arizona and Texas, where Blacks are around triple, Whites are underrepresented, and Latinos are overrepresented. If my numbers are correct, Connecticut is an interesting case, where Latinos are having abortions at twice their percentage of the population. Also, Texas is an outlier, where Latinos are very slightly below their percentage, likely due to all the Cubans being more conservative.
Yeah, I had serious trouble believing hispanics abort more than whites, no offense. Hispanics tend to be closer to Christian values. But I also agree that those statistics could be anything.
The ones at the border DNGAF. They're no more Christian than your average white. Their values are McDonalds and shopping malls, too.
They may even abort at a lower rate, but they also have more children, with one of the most common reasons being having too many children. There's a whole system for getting this done without telling the men -- in many cases the husband and father of the woman's other children. Some of this is done by obfuscation. The procedure for an abortion isn't appreciably different to a layman than the procedure for evacuating a dead fetus. So if the doctor says Mom needs to go away for a procedure, even if that procedure includes a hysterectomy which it often does*, few people are going to question that. Arabs more than Hispanics.
*It's basically SOP to perform a hysterectomy for any kind of "down there" problems post-child-bearing. As far as I can tell. The whole system is a PITA, and if it's not necessary any more most women would just as well not have it. It's the only thing that (is presumed to) solves everything, and the downside is just basically the impact of having such a major procedure, which providers tend to downplay.
