Seriously, I got 4 and don't like it that much. 3 is where it's at, get the base game and just unlock all the DLC or if you wanna go whole hog just pirate the game(it's easier than ever). Sims 4 can go fuck itself IMHO, even the mods aren't that great for it.
Even ignoring the degeneracy there was only so much they could have done with the engine. They originally designed it for mobile (multiplayer as well IIRC), which is why they scrapped the open world. Not even mods can make up the deficit.

I'm glad the only sim game I played was Sim City 4 deluxe which still have the physical copy of.
Plus that had a killer soundtrack, Oasis and Metropolis were the best tracks.
