I'm currently in a major Dem stronghold hanging out with insane lefties. The city has recently attempted to reinstate a mask mandate, and nobody even noticed. When I crack jokes about the absurdity of coof, carefully crafted to not directly insult the branch covidians, the former mask police laugh.

Most of the people I know don't wear masks anymore, and don't mention COVID. Around town, I still see some people in stores wearing a mask, probably fewer than 10%. Occasionally I'll see a lost cause walking down an empty sidewalk wearing a mask.

I know a few people, though, who are completely broken and probably not coming back. The wife of a friend has probably left the house less than six times in the last year. She met up with a mutual friend and asked her to stand farther away when they were walking outside. This was long after peak COVID.

It pains me to realize that the people who perpetrated this psychologically damaging campaign of fear will never be held accountable for their actions.

As for when it ends? It never will. There are people who STILL insist on doing things that have been proven beyond reasonable doubt to be useless, if not themselves harmful (like masking), and while that's their personal freedom to do that if they so wish, so long as there are enough people like that and they make enough noise, the government (regardless of which "side" is in power) will use it as an excuse to continue to hold onto power.

Thankfully I gave up on TV and radio a long time ago. I still get exposed every now and then. I would say that I couldn't imagine your brain on that shit all the time, but I can, because we clearly see the result of round the clock propaganda and what it does to people.

It stopped in Ireland largely because of Ukrainians. Only a few weeks before they started arriving en-mass I was barred from public life, not allowed in pubs or restaurants because I was a great threat to society. Then we had to take in all these unvaxxed Ukrainians and suddenly the unvaxxed weren't a problem. It's beyond disgusting to treat people like dogs, yet never expect them to bite back.

One the places I get sent to work still has a mask mandate, and I thought only healthcare facilities were still that retarded. I only follow it when they enforce it and they're really inconsistent about it.

People who live in the real world where I live, live in the real world. Those that don't, don't. Which seems self-evident, but what it boils down to is: People who work in real jobs for a living, don't mask. People who work in fake jobs, or don't work, always mask.

You can generally tell if someone is an actively contributing member of society by whether or not they've got a mask on. Of course, some of those are retired people, but that still isn't contributing. Workers with masks on are generally "influencers", HR workers, or "inclusion" consultants.

Only people I see wearing masks are the odd person now and then who could be big lefties (It's great i can identify the brainwashed lefties and how many there are, thankfully far and few between) and employees at supermarkets which it seems is optional

On the west coast of canada, and I'd say it's about 10% afraid and 90% not with the majority of that 10% being white people. There are still people who wear masks constantly even while driving, or have freak-outs in walmarts demanding others put on masks/show their shot status (I had one come after me and even have her boyfriend threaten to slash my tires, only for me to record the incident/send it to the police and have them issue her a ticket for disrupting the peace). Parts of here have moved on, but there are some who refuse to let go. While the covid debacle may have polarized people, it made it easier to identify the mentally unhinged and avoid them at all costs.

I live in the midwest and even the few people here who ever gave a shit about Covid have stopped. Yet despite this, every time you walk around a grocery store there's an ad every 2-3 minutes for "Get your updated COVID-19 booster shots at the pharmacy!" The last time I saw anyone wearing a mask it was in the Emergency Room line back in August, when some old lady came in to "get covid tested." She was wearing the mask in her car alone when she pulled up. Plainly neurotic. I can't imagine whole cities half full of those people - they get roundly mocked here.

I think there might be some cause for concern regarding long-term impact, just because the thing can be a nasty piece of work in terms of what kind of effects it can leave behind, but I think the "official" course of action has been just as damaging (if not more) and incredibly foolish to boot.

There needs to be far more emphasis on looking into actual, non-pharmaceutical treatments and solutions to help the body heal and recover itself. Sadly this isn't likely to happen because of what an idiotic, corrupt, and greedy clusterfuck the world's medical and pharmaceutical industries are.

And then of course government officials and politicians, who are all in favor of employing tyrannical tools, have no interest in letting go of such a lucrative option.

Here in the UK we've reached the point where the populace largely can't be bothered with it any more - with exceptions, quite a few Oriental types ("Asian" means something slightly different in Britain) do seem to wear masks when out, if you're going to hospital for some reason then, yes, mask, but other than that, no. It's no longer required on public transport, for instance; it takes quite a bit to get Brits marching in the street - though that's happened over this as well - you're far more likely to find quiet noncompliance once people have reached the point of just being done with it.

Just before Thanksgiving a memo was posted where I work saying they are monitoring the 'case levels' of our state and if they go up to some arbitrary number they'll reinstate a mask mandate for the plant. This is in reaction to several of the front office staff getting runny noses.

There used to be test centers everywhere, e.g. in shops that went out of business or in containers they set up in busy areas). Those seem to be all gone now.

I am living in a blue city in a red state. I barely see masks or covid stuff around, as the only people I see wearing them are the odd asian.
