Regardless of whether or not you think he's guilty, there is one thing that should be inarguable, and that's that he didn't get a fair trial. There is no way that man could have gotten a fair trial with all the media attention and rioters threatening the outcome.

I hope one day he can get a real trial. You’ll never convince me that there wasn’t pressure on the juror and the city to convict

Some of the jurors were part of the Burn Loot Murder riots. Two of them openly bragged about sending him to jail after the decision was official.

That this hasn't been ruled a mistrial yet is a travesty to justice.

I wonder if they're waiting on a potentially friendlier administration in the federal government? Because if he were to have the conviction thrown out now, the DOJ will turn around and charge him with federal crimes to keep him locked up. Even when he is freed he will probably need help getting out of the country safely before someone assassinates him. And even in many other countries he won't be safe unless he can get a new identity.

I mean, they already have a federal conviction and sentence for him: https://archive.ph/xaaxh

Derek Chauvin was sentenced to 20½ years in prison on Thursday after reaching a plea agreement on federal charges that he violated George Floyd's civil rights in 2020[...]

Reversing the rulings would be akin to reigniting the riot flames from 2020. I don't think they'll ever let it happen.

Imagine thinking anytime you have blacks and Jews on a jury that a white man will ever get a fair trial.

– AnotherSchwarzesMark 3 points 3 years ago +3 / -0

Not really that, you could've had all whites on the jury and I don't think he would've walked because of the threat of violence and riots, IIRC jurors were also doxxed during the trial.

Yep. Floyd died because he's a druggie piece of shit, and got what was coming to him. Nothing anyone did impacted his poor life choices, and the world is better off with him dead. Unfortunately, a bunch of other dindus rioted because they're retarded and burned shit for a year over him.

Sadly, it was worse. A group had been waiting for this to happen, and had hired actors and rioters to do this. Then they invited upper middle class kids to help. That's why Portland has been so messed up, the upper middle class kids had connections and the police couldn't stop it.

There was a phone number to call for anyone arrested to be set free.

I have a solution.

Just shoot the rioters. They fuck around, they find out. Then they'll stop doing it.

Except that the Soros backed DAs will then prosecute you. You can't even brandish a gun in their general direction as the McCloskeys found out.

They didn't do it right. The right way is to take one headshot from a concealed position about 400 yards from the target. Then skedaddle.

The only solution right now is to not live in Democrat controlled jurisdictions.

Most of eastern Washington and Oregon dealt with it in that way. One guy tried to start a riot in Spokane, and the protesters shouted him down and helped the police arrest him. Then the protests stopped entirely.

This is why the riots are happening in specific places. If things the blue side likes gets destroyed, the rioters will be murdered. If they arrive at red areas, they get shot. Powell's books has destruction all around it, but no one went after it. There's a part of Portland called Milwaukee that has a blue area surrounded by red. The riots stopped a few blocks away from one of my favorite gun stores. In Seattle rioters attacked a mall in an area called Tukwilla. The locals stopped them and riots did not return. The neighborhood in Tukwilla are very mixed, and there is a large Polynesian population that personally stopped the riots hands on.

Lol, why would looters loot a bookstore? The same thing happened a year or so back in the bad South Africa riots. I saw heartbreaking footage of a mall where a music store owner was just devastated at the destruction of his store--just senseless destruction of instruments and property. Other stores in the mall--clothes, music, jewelry, etc., had been completely emptied out. The only untouched store in the whole mall? The bookstore.

Reverse Fahrenheit 451, burn everything but the books.

Powell's is 5 stories high and a city block long. It's one of the big things locals talk about. They also stopped from attacking Ground Control a local arcade. There was definitely no go spots, and targets.

I was in Seattle a few months ago, and I was SHOCKED by the number of homeless, the aggressiveness of panhandlers (trying to hand you stuff and then shake you down to pay for it), and the trash everywhere. First time I had been there since pre-Covid. Wtf Seattle. It always had some grit, but this was way worse.

When the full 15min video got released all I could think is that Chauvin was remarkably professional and calm with the 6ft tall hysterical man. I think they would have noticed he wasn't breathing sooner if they hadn't had to split their attention with the crowd of cameras surrounding them.

Easy to forget that George Floyd had like 6-8 inches and close to 100 pounds on Chauvin. When a guy that big is freaking out, you do what you have to do to make sure you don't get snapped in half like a twig.

The truth no longer matters. The damage from the lie has been done.

BLM owes its existence to this lie, and Owens is using the truth to discredit them.

Whether or not her expose converts any black leftists to conservatism is another question.

I thought that it started with Trayvon Martin in 2012?

Yep. Even Obama’s DOJ had to admit hands up don’t shoot was a lie. Of course the media still says Michael Brown was murdered. I guess the best I can hope is that the people who thought they were being virtuous by giving them money have opened their eyes

I'm sure the corporations knew that it was a grift but I bet a lot of regular people were shocked when the news of the mansions came out.

I agree but I still don’t understand why. The first red flag should’ve been the distorted narrative about cops and also how they never had a word for the massive amount of inner city violence

That was obvious just from reading the autopsy. George Floyd died despite his worst injuries being slight bruising and scratching where he was pressed against the bitumen. When a man suffering from extreme heart disease puts his body under stress by taking multiple illegal drugs known to cause cardiopulmonary failure and then trying to resist arrest, the resulting cardiopulmonary failure is the product of his own poor decisions.

That plus the autopsy showed absolutely 0 damage to his neck, blowing up the whole case that Chauvin somehow choked him out with a knee to the neck.

At trial an absolute scumbag liar liberal academic got on the stand and said Floyd suffocated to death when that is not what the evidence showed, and when prior studies have proved that you cannot suffocate from having weight on you as long as your rib cage is intact.

I remember posting about it at the time since it's a BIG deal that his knee was on floyd's shoulder not his neck, but nobody really cared.

Nope.

He all three of killed a man accidentally, killed a man on purpose while not committing other crimes, AND killed a man on purpose while actively committing other crimes. And amazingly, it was the same man killed three times. Chauvin was a master of time travel.

Why is it an accomplishment for me to write in English? I meant that by them acting like covid was the plague on steroids while encouraging “peaceful protests” it destroyed the “covid is the most dangerous thing ever” narrative. Well I was skeptical but that put the final mail in the coffin. Yes there are still people who worship at the altar of covid but that was when I was over covid. I’ve met other people who are the same way. I guess I should’ve said it destroyed the narrative completely for me but I was already skeptical about how serious or dangerous it was.

George Floyd's funeral was far more elaborate than the funeral Donald Trump will get, assuming there's still a functional US government at all by that point.
