You hit a certain rep with the companion and there is an option to initiate romance dialog, and an option to keep things friendly. They don't force you to engage in gay bear sex.

All the companions are open to romance with any sex player character, but only one of them comes across as overtly gay because of the obnoxious voice actor being a huge flamer. But you don't have to let that fag in the party. You can outright murder the fucker if you want. Same for every other NPC in the game. Some people have murdered all the NPCs. There's a few gay npcs scattered through the game but there's nothing in the plot or gameplay that is particularly woke. It's a typical fantasy RPG game where you go around doing tactical battles blowing goblins up with fireballs and shit.

Personally I'm with Hans Hermann-Hoppe and his theory of argumentation ethics. Which could be summarized that the act of arguing with someone presupposes that both participants in the argument own themselves. And if that assumption of self ownership exists it also implies that using force to deprive that person of their self-ownership (rape, murder, theft) would not be ethical.
