I'm still waiting to hear why I'm supposed to hate Putin.

Did he call me a racist? Has he tried to get me fired from my job? Did he crash my economy? Did he create massive inflation in my country?

No, that's all done by our own "leaders".

Well, that would upset the late Ashlii Babbitt very much.

I have no doubt that he does, like the regimes in the West do, but it's got nothing to do with me.

Our propagandists are doing the best they can, but they just don't have the material they need. It's really bad and it alienates all even the most lukewarm skeptics, who feel about the US govt as textbooks teach you to feel about the USSR. Putin has material, his enemies are literally satanic and he can just say so, just parrot what real people already think and say. Can simply tell the truth about us in a way that distracts from his own sins.

When we copycat that tactic, but with a bed of bullshit, it sounds like everything else we say: bullshit, bc we burned out our bullshitting machines circa 2017. It's just a mountain of poop now. By contrast to Putin our own govts have to call a vast majority of its taxpayers evil terrorists to help perpetuate 1+1=3 and tons of Americans are tacitly hoping for some disastrous event to unseat their own leaders without swirling endless pleb lives down the toilet.

I think Putin is evil but it is hard to believe he is THAT evil, largely because the gross intensity of modern western evil would be hard for me to believe if I hadn't experienced it myself over a lifetime.

People always forget that it really is a coin flip at times if an extreme ideological push in power leads to a reformation (England after Cromwell) or another extreme push to counter (Germany pre WWII)

The crap the left has pushed has pretty much solidified support for the ruling structures in Asia, Middle East and Eastern Europe rejecting this and it's in the West we have to be concerned we might slip too far onto the right.

How? By saying "don't be retards pushing too far in an ideological pursuit of power, you'll only invite an extreme backlash"?

I didn't say "Don't vote for this/don't praise this person/ condemn this person" I simply stated historical context of how extreme ideological pushes have later led to a backlash, England got lucky after Cromwell that there was a path back to traditional values, Germany wasn't.

Which I'm applying to the west currently, I'll be completely honest, this current living generation has nearly destroyed centuries of tradition, values and morality in the space of decades. Even if you in America and Europe all got the current people in power voted out and replaced with "Far right" politicians, it will probably take another century to repair the damage, that is how bad we fucked up. And that's one of the reasons why Putin is really secure, because they still have their traditions and culture, we've been effectively shedding them piece by piece.

"Too far to the right", to the majority of the west, means waiting until a "trans kid" is 18 to sexually mutilate them. It means making women who get drive through second trimester elective abortions pay for it themselves. It means allowing white people into college or a job without having to clear numerous extra hurdles to make up for their innate evil.

The west, as it currently exists, cannot even comprehend the idea of "too far to the right". They think centrism is alt right extremism. So using that kind of language just makes it easier for them to justify staying where we are forever, paralyzed by the fear that preventing our children from watching men fellate each other in public might summon a horde of nazis to kill us all.

I'm not using what our media and politicians call "far right " (as some of my opinions on immigration and self defence would be included in that) I'm taking about from a historical perspective when an overcorrect happens and you just switch which people you choose to target.

If you're talking about the current crop of politicians that can hold office in the west, I haven't gotten any that are actually far right. But history does love to pull up a surprise candidate just when shit really hits the fan and unfortunately the left is shoving that fan into the sewer.

I'm not, my issue with some of them is if I'm talking about actual far right and not what MSM calls Desantis for giving illegal immigrants a free trip, they're basically the coin flip of the far left. Switch black with white, straights for gays and conservatives for Jews practically the same which doesn't help.

As I said before I care more about the plan than what team they are on, take Trump he was essentially Democrat for most of his life but switched to Republican when it would get him power. A lot of his policies are 90s Democrat (even a bit of gun control unfortunately) but he had a plan in place that actually repaired quite a lot of damage, which is why they acted so hard against him and then hit accelerate when he was kicked out if office.

How? By saying "don't be retards pushing too far in an ideological pursuit of power, you'll only invite an extreme backlash"?

The rightward 'shift' will be the extreme backlash.

You think these Antifa types will survive it to have their counter-extreme-backlash? They're mostly barely functional human beings that are only able to carry out acts of petty vandalism because they've got a massive support network that bails them out of jail and/or refuses to prosecute them in the rare instances when they're arrested. And the only reason that stuff happens is because there's systemic support for it.

We're staring at a worldwide economic collapse the likes of which has never been seen before. All it takes is a few days of no food before you get a lot of angry people. And in the US at least, these angry people will have guns. It's not going to be pretty for these comfortable lawyers and politicians who have basically sequestered all of the prosperity to themselves and leave the consequences to the poors.

Antifa won't survive anything in the current years, they'll either be purged by new powers or as the useful idiots they are or probably forgotten into irrelevance left to rot away by themselves. They done what was required of them which is cause division and rile tensions, now they cling for relevance (defending pedo drag shows)

The support behind them is the bigger issue as we all know there is a cancer in the western institutions it's a matter of if it can be cut out like simply shutting down every alphabet agency in the US or if the rot is so deep you actually require a second revolution.

My prediction is that there's no revolution. There's no way to cut out the cancer.

Instead, there will be a total collapse when the institutions lose the ability to perpetuate themselves.

That's if we're lucky, the issue is we maybe electing essentially the opposite side of the coin where it's still ineffectual leaders just saying more good things about white people.

Screw ideology, we need people with a plan and a method to get us out of this shit hole we dug for ourselves, fortunately in America a lot of the ones that the left call "racist, sexist phobes" actually have some planning (reducing immigration, less gun control) but there's some that are RINOs that got in because of red, that's my concern that you focus too much on just getting the opposite you don't examine their actual proposals first.

Let us have an open, honest discussion of ideas and let the best ones win out.

God do I wish that was reality, and appreciate your point. Just from my philosophical and historical leanings, I do pick up on patterns, rhythms of when things seem to repeat. I live by the saying "Hope for the best, plan for the worst" so hopefully my fears of a shift too far are unfounded

concerned we might slip too far onto the right

The only way to prevent this is if the moderate left does a better job "policing its own". Unless and until they are able to do this (which they probably aren't, because every time someone attempts it they get declared a "fascist"), a far right reaction is inevitable.

This is Tribal Relations 101: "police your own, because if you don't then we will; and you won't like how we do it"

The right have been good at this, a little too well as some of the legitimate queries regarding certain ethnicities being more represented in crime statistics get lumped in with 'far right'

I think the left that was moderate and police are largely gone, either centrist, libertarian or even gone conservative as they've had enough of the establishment left just ignoring or excusing it. So at this point the backlash is inevitable it's just a matter of what form it will take.

I remember reading that Putin was always marginalized in the KGB for being religious. Which is (one of the reasons) why they sent him to a desolated outpost rather than giving him better assignments.

Interestingly, Russia has more atheists than Ukraine (Little Russia), and the pro-Russian parts of Ukraine also have a greater number of atheists. Western Ukraine is far more like Poland, which makes sense because they stole it from Poland. However, Russian atheists are not degenerates, like many Western ones are - they still believe in social conservatism.

I appreciate that as my extent of knowledge is basically the Soviet Union was atheist and allowed a little Orthodoxy for tradition.

Well, they tried to stamp it out initially. They shut down nearly all of the churches, and blew up some (e.g. Church of Christ the Savior in Moscow). But with World War II, they knew that no one was going to fight and die for communism, so Stalin brought back religion and patriotism. After the war, religious worship continued to be grudgingly allowed.

Did you read World War Z? One of the effects of the zombie apocalypse in the book is Russia returns to being an unabashed Orthodox theocracy. I bring it up because mentions of Russia and religion remind me of WWZ.

I haven't, that's actually the first interesting thing about WWZ that I have heard in my life.

religious worship continued to be grudgingly allowed.

The Soviets also used the Orthodox church as a form of soft power projection, instead of repressing it in its entirety like the Chinese do, which has created a whole collection of underground churches with contacts in the West that move resources and people in and out of China under the Party's nose. The Soviets simply co-opted the Orthodox leadership, and used the lines of communication between the Patriarchate in Russia and expat churches all over the West for everything from espionage to propaganda.
