When I got out of the Navy I took the first job I was offered even though I was vastly overqualified for the position. I needed the money. It was a union shop and I was informed that I would have to work for a year at the boring job to get a job that I was qualified for. Gave my two weeks notice on that first day and started looking for a better job. Had found a better job while I was still working off the two weeks.

Next we'll hear that because of discrimination there are no more places to rob in the hood.

The problem with PKD is that he wrote 4D plots populated by 1D characters. In his final four novels, VALIS, Radio Free Albemuth, The Divine Invasion and The Transmigration of Timothy Archer escape that limitation.

Typical failure I have experienced is that the heater burns out. I'm in FL so I have lived with this for almost a year and not felt compelled to replace it.

In his exegesis he finally learns to flesh out characters. This was his only real flaw as a writer, 3D plots with 1D characters.

Anyone who cleans their own toilet should have a bidet. The heated seat is the bee's knees and makes it attractive to squat to pee.

There was an Engineering Disasters show on Discovery covering this. They made absolutely no mention of its feminist design. It was quite amusing.

I had seen bits and pieces of Farscape and dismissed it as incoherent trash. Recently started watching it from 1/1 and it makes a whole lot more sense.

We are rural. Two of our neighbors went out and bought real fireworks and set up a bunch of mortars and put on a 15 minute show starting about 9 pm. I guess the kids were getting cranky. It was grand.

When a sitting president of the United States can be whacked by Twitter with impunity what chance does a substack author have? Slim to none by my reckoning. The whole dreary thing will just be a massive money sink for Berenson and Twitter won't even be inconvenienced. In addition, Berenson with have to associate with lawyers while deriving no useful benefit. Lose, lose, lose.

For example, all of the Kennedy documentation that was supposed to be released 50 years after the deed. Didn't happen. I guess some of the people responsible are either still alive or so prominent that it just couldn't be.

Or the Maxwell trial. That is being held under cover of darkness and there will be no list of perpetrators coming forward. Not to mention the "suicide" of her partner, Epstein. I have a Q-tard friend who believes that Jeffrey is still alive but that is a whole nother can of worms.

I voted for Palin and the Old Guy in spite of being a rabid libertarian. The past summer's BLM activities have moved me firmly in the direction of 14/88.
