Yet another in a long list of cases of rabid leftists attempting to take over an open source project using nonsensical non-technical positions of power.

the next team should “take special care to keep the team of a healthy size and diversity, to the extent possible,”

Of fucking course.

So they're advocating for gatekeeping, but only when it's (D)ifferent.

So that's two actual developers and a cloud of diversity hires to obscure them.

To enforce the Code of Conduct.

Why does a programming language need a Code of Conduct?

To give the moderators power.

Political commisars... its what current mods are for all places. Just power hungry freaks that use their moderation and control abilities to push their freakish bullshit.

Rust has always been SJW-infested. For example, one of their releases was basically an announcement supporting Black Lives Matter. It is unfortunate, since Rust is a technically innovative and interesting language.

It's not just Rust. Every page of https://go.dev/ has "Black Lives Matter" atop, even now. And then there's Isaac Z. Schlueter of Node.js and his minions....

Yeah all programming communities have become infected by this evil garbage. It should only be about the technical details like it used to be.

Commie subversion successfully resisted.

Up next: canvasing the personal lives of the developers to see if they ever had an awkward interaction with a woman to demonize them with.

We delayed SJW takeover of gaming for 6-7 years. But alas.

On the other hand, the Hebrew alphabet starts at Unicode codepoint 1488. (Yes, really.)

I like using the best language anyway. They can ree about a nazi using it and being powerless to stop them.

If it's GPL open source you can use it all you want and their REEEs are powerless.

this actually isn't what you think it is.

it's s almost 100% likely about this useless cunt https://archive.md/epx2o and/or her jew boyfriend (klabnik) who is also on the core team. one of those moderation team guys said it wasn't about the new members on the team and that leaves only 6 suspects.

this is why these guys refuse to disclose the details -- the lynch mob would not be on their side here. but you still have to give them some props for taking a stand and making it public.

Some of that shit's comedy gold!

Promoting dog whistle innuendo

Those who claim to hear "dog whistles" are the dogs.

The concept of a dog whistle is ridiculous. The, um, detector puts words in someone's mouth and then gets upset by those words.

The genuine creative, meritocratic center-of-gravity will shift clear out of the "Woke West": NE Asia and Eastern Europe are looking more attractive all the time.

Gallant writes that the Rust community should “come to a consensus on a process for oversight over the Core Team,” which he says is currently “answerable only to themselves.”

the core team of any project should only be answerable to themselves and their customers. it's a programming language so there are no customers.

this is just a bunch of policy faggots pissed off that they don't have enough power over people who actually produce something of value.

Heh I thought this was about the game first too. A programming language doesn't need a moderation team.
