I love DeSantis. I think he is by far the best governor. However, I think it is obvious that a lot of people in the GOP support him because they see him as an offramp from Trumpism and a road back to the Romney and McCain conservatism they love.

He went and met with groups like the ADL and SPLC to talk with them about the "hate speech" policy of his new Twitter. A lot of the Dissident Right and others allied with us started going full blackpilled (like usual) and started dooming that it was all in vain and he was just going to be the same as the old regime. But like usual, I decided that I dont really care about what his lips are saying, but what his hands are doing. And his hands were not moving at the same dance as his lips, so I decided to wait and see.
This is exactly right. Twitter’s revenue comes almost exclusively from corporate advertisers. If he gave the middle finger to the ADL now, he could nuke the company in a day because when the ADL says jump, corporations ask how high.
The good news is that he has signaled right off the bat that he wants to move from an advertiser-funding model to a user-funded one. I am not sure how much free speech we will get back on Twitter, only time will tell, but that move will hopefully make him less sensitive to corporate pressure from new leftist demands for censorship in the future.
There is a certain segment of the dissident right who are terminally black pilled. They literally are incapable of seeing anything positive in anything. They are just nasty people. You obviously have people who follow you around to downvote you in every thread, but what you’re saying here is plainly true. It’s pretty clear who they think the appropriate targets of violence are. It’s telling that they are ONLY talking about the percentage. If the only thing that changed next year was that the number of male journalists killed went up, the percentage of female journalists killed would be lower and they would call it progress.
Going back to pre-2014 or even pre-2016 almost certainly won’t happen, at least not any time soon, because that would mean rolling back almost all of the censorship.
What will probably happen is that some of the more moderate conservatives will be unbanned - people like Jordan Peterson and the Babylon Bee. They were never actually banned anyway. They refused to delete tweets to unlock their accounts. More “extreme” conservatives (like the ones explicitly named here) will remain banned as a sort of compromise with the left.
I think Elon sees himself as a centrist and will seek some sort of middle ground between the left and the right, even though it is fake. If it were up to the right, all conservatives would be allowed on twitter and all lefties would be too. If it were up to the left, all conservatives would be banned from twitter. So the fake middle ground here is to allow some conservatives on the platform and keep the “extreme” ones banned. Meanwhile, the extreme lefties get to remain on the platform.
We’re at a massive disadvantage because conservatives don’t have multimillion dollar jewish NGOs essentially promising to launch a holy war if Elon allows true free speech on the platform. See the link above where the ADL threatens “dire consequences” if those specific individuals are unbanned.

Making periods into a gender neutral thing is obviously ridiculous. But, if they wanted to make it gender neutral, they could have said something like “Help support people on their periods”

You could say that they are doing this for shock value to get attention, but I think it’s because they are anti-human and they want to reduce human beings to objects because objects can be discarded. Same reason they call babies “fetuses”, “clumps of cells”, etc
The US regime has alienated the demographic the military has depended on to fight every war in US history, including modern wars like Iraq and Afghanistan: young white Christian men.
Why would you fight for a country that calls you hateful, privileged, etc?
Why would you fight for a country that is trying to remove you from positions of power and turn you into a second class citizen in your own country?
Why would you fight for a country that fought and blocked the president you overwhelming elected in every possible way?
I think idpol is probably inevitable. I don’t think you can have whites, blacks, Latinos, Asians, and jews all living under one government without there being hostility between the groups. White people will eventually figure this out or be genocided.
